Called by this number (+443301745087) stating that they were calling regarding my recent accident. I knew straight away that it was chancers at best but probably scammers spoofing the number. Just to be clear I last had an accident 4 years ago.

The guy had a very strong Indian accent and was very difficult to understand due to speaking way too fast. I asked him to slow down. I asked him which accident he was referring to. He could not tell me. I asked what was the reg of the vehicle. He could not tell me. I asked which insurance company passed on my details to call me about my accident. He could not tell me.

"I am here to help you fill in the form and all details will be made clear".
I insisted he tell me the name of his company. And then the address. I looked them up on the internet the details did match. By this time we had been on the call for 10 minutes.
I then asked him why he was calling me. Was it just a random chance call?
He hung up.

They called me asking about a recent accident I had (car was written off in January) and said who they were. They were asking me question about my crash, said they were with the other drivers insurance. While talking to them I looked on here and saw all the bad reviews so said that I’m actually okay and won’t continue with the call, the man then said ‘you’re a effing bastard for wasting my time’ so I laughed and hung up. What a bunch of jokers!

Glasgow number phoning me saying I had an accident in Glasgow. I don't live in or near there. I also have never held a driving licence. Definitely scammers

This mob are complete pests, calling my private mobile multiple times, claiming to be able to offer personal payouts on the chance you may have had an accident in the near past.Get a real job you parasites.

A cold call from someone claiming to be Legal Assist has now proved to be a spoof / scam.

IT NOW APPEARS THAT LEGAL ASSIST (Apollo Group) in Manchester are being wrongly associated with the telephone scams. The same applies to Legal Assist in Leicester.

The phone scammer claimed to have obtained my phone number from "DVLA" (actually called DVSA) in connection with a claim for diesel emmissions compensation.

DVSA do not release personal information.

Action Fraud, FCA and DVLA are all unhelpful in stopping this scam ~ every assistance short of actual help.

'Legal Assist' is a generic and failrly meaningless name and the cold-caller was very coy about giving any details. A call, by me, to Legal Assist in Mancheter resulted in a very open and frank discussion of what is evidently a scam masquerading as """Legal Assist"""

Tell them to take my number off their system and continuously harass me. Block the number and they just call from another. I've not been in an accident, I'm not in a claim, can they legally do this? Scam artists

I just had an unsolicited call from a person claiming to be from Legal Assist and asking me about my diesel car (I don’t own one). I asked the caller various questions his answers to which were complete nonsense! This kind of call is nothing more than a fishing expedition to try and find something which could form the basis of a legal claim. It would then be passed by Legal Assist to a firm of lawyers who will pursue the possible claim and then take a large percentage of any payout. Not a reputable thing to do and the lawyers who sign up for this kind of thing must be pretty desperate for work and thus unlikely to be very competent. If you have a valid claim, pursue it yourself or employ a reputable firm of solicitors. Don’t use these guys. Incidentally, my caller rang off immediately when I mentioned that I was a lawyer!

Legal assist are Nothing but a bunch of rats. Feeding off innocent people. Encouraging fraudulent claims and lies. Then when you get suspicious like I did and start asking questions they get really aggressive, insulting and abusive. I had to give one star to leave this review, it’s just a shame you can’t give minus stars because they’d get minus 10 from me. Makes me ashamed to call myself a Scouser when people from my home town are doing this to unsuspecting, vulnerable people. RATS.

Cold called a couple of times now from 0115 990 1176 about a car accident i had back in April. Claimed to be calling on behalf of Legal Assist and working with the insurance company, but unable to provide any further details. When I explained that i already had a solicitor, woman was very rude and hung up. Number now blocked.

Cold call to my mobile during a working day. Grrrr. Told me they were given my name by a third party but would not say who. I gave them short shrift...

Cold call today telling me I had appeared in the FCA register about some car finance ! I explained that the FCA register is a list of authorised and regulated firms and individuals in the UK and what they had just said would be impossible. Clearly a scam. Kept calling me back. Rude, trying to be smart, young north of England accents. Their owners are Apollo claims who have a false telephone number on their website. Both Apollo and Legal Assist showing same registered address and FCA number. Complaint now lodged with the FCA.

Rude spam caller insulting me when they called me today

A persistent South Asian caller, almost unintelligible, eventually said enough he represented 'Legal Assist' and could help with an accident claim - ignoring the fact I do have a claim. Had to be told repeatedly NOT to call my TPS registered number. Checked their quite glossy website and then their actual location which is far from glossy. Scammers methinks.

Wow this company are incredibly rude (if it is them calling ) cold calling, rude , can barely speak legible english & when you say you're not interested will argue with you, when you tell them to stop ringing. After i put 9hone down on them i got rewarded with a couple of silent calls ( they forgot to remove their number , theres not a lot of brain power going around there ) Gaslight you , saying its you who rang them .
They seriously need fined and banned . Absolute serious nuisance
