My experience was excellent at Lighting New York. Unfortunately I did receive a ceiling fan that was defective but customer service guided me through the process of a refund and the purchase of another brand. I would give the customer service department 10 stars if I could!

I had a very disappointing experience with Lighting New York.
I placed an order and months later, the order has still not been shipped or delivered.
I have tried multiple times to contact customer service via email and live chat. Each time I was told someone would get back to me, but I never received any meaningful response or update. The only response I got was that FedEx was unable to ship.
Due to the lack of communication and the significant delay, I had no choice but to initiate a chargeback through my credit card company.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. The lack of customer support and failure to deliver such a large order is very concerning.

Signing up for a trade account was so tedious. I could not do it in Safari. After a long back-and-forth with the online chat (which was helpful), I was finally able to sign up in Chrome, but I had to wait for them to merge the information before I could place the order.

The online chat feature was extremely helpful. When placing an order, I received online assistance with part selection and my pro account set up.
They take orders for products they can’t get
I placed an order for 2 lights with them, and then 2 days later they cancelled it saying the items were discontinued in the color I selected. They issued a refund.
I then reached out and asked them if the light was available in a different color, in which they said yes and sent me a new quote. I placed an order for the different items. They were supposed to be shipped in 4-6 weeks. After waiting six weeks I contacted them to see if they had an idea of when they may ship out. They emailed me back and said the items were discontinued and that they were cancelling the order. Even though everything is still listed for sale on their website. And why did it take 6 weeks to let me know?
They then offered to have a representative help me find something that “was” in stock, but why would I believe them at this point. They wasted over 6 weeks of my time and I’m left with nothing, starting back at square 1.

I ordered 3 lights from this company. I returned one and the return process was quick and easy. I loved the light I kept and prices are better than other competitors. I plan to order the remaining lights needed for my remodel from Lighting New York.
Bad fan purchase experience
Bad fan purchase experience.
I am simply astonished they don't have satisfaction guarantee to allow you to return defective fans or ones that don't look good installed. These are thousand dollar fans we are talking about, you would think they would be more understanding.
I was sent a fan with a box that was opened, I contacted the customer service and spoke to a customer rep that told me if anything didn't work out I could return/exchange it. After installing the fan thinking I was covered the in wall remote didn't work and the installer notified me there were some scratches on the down rod.
I called the customer service again to initiate a exchange and was told once installed the fan cant be returned. Complete 180 from what I was told before installing. I was told the request was denied and to contact Mattwe and Co. I feel completely screwed over.
- I purchased another fan and was told it would take a week to get, it's been 8 weeks and I still don't have it. Complete waste of time.
I have purchased 5 Matthew Fan Co fans from this site at roughly 800-1000 dollars a fan that's almost 5k in purchases to be treated so badly. I will go out of my way to never spend another dollar with this company.
