I ordered a grating machine along with other items. Because I was in the middle of moving, I didn’t open the box right away. When I finally did, I discovered that the machine was clearly used—scratched, damaged, and even had food particles inside. This was completely unacceptable. I have never experienced anything like this before. I strongly recommend staying away and purchasing your kitchen products elsewhere. I will definitely not be purchasing anything from here ever again.

It’s been two weeks since I requested a return for a damaged sheet set and never heard from them except automated emails saying “in the queue”.
I live in the west coast where they don’t have stores for you to try to return so I’m stuck with AI emails, and since there is no free return policy even if the item is damaged, it’s pretty much a gamble shopping there. Sad because I wanted to support Canadian companies but this is one has really bad to non-existent customer service and awful return policy.
(The sheets were the bamboo ones that I actually had and was buying a second set, they came bathed in perfume, like immediately triggered my allergies and I didn’t even took it out of the plastic. I would have to wash at least 3x trying to get rid of the perfume, the first set I bought didn’t have any smell.)
Edit: my husband managed to talk to a human and they accepted the return (as an exception). I just wish the return process wasn’t so hard, why don’t they just sell everything as final sale and priced as final sale? That’s a solution for companies that don’t want to deal with returns and it’s more honest and upfront.

Same issues as everyone else. Shipping from online is extremely slow. Purchased a clearance priced item Christmas morning and I guess no one bothers to pull it off the shelves as I know for a fact the inventory was there but now I get notified by automated email the inventory is being searched and moved for store pickup. I won’t hold my breath.
Went to the Ottawa Iris street store early November and had a poor experience including some male employee shouting “let’s move along!” At the cash area about 5 minutes before closing time. Sent in a email complaint but no answer 4 weeks later. Sent same email again but still 2 weeks later— no answer - just an automated reply. Not sure what’s going on with this store honestly. It’s sad cuz ppl want to support Canada retail. They reply to comments on this platform but they seem pretty generic and don’t see evidence of improvement!
Will have to rethink shopping there I guess cuz it’s apparently a family owned business and clearly the leadership don’t give a crap.

If they want people to have ID to pick up their online orders at the store, it would be nice if they said so in the confirmation email, instead of waiting to say so in person, and refusing to give someone their items. Cancelling an online order should also be much simpler, instead of the ridiculous goose-chase they send you on.

Out of desperation, I am leaving this review here. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted with this company. I have tried communicating with them via email and phone, but just like every review has stated, there is no customer service number to speak to. I paid for a gift card on December 13 that was supposed to be sent by email to a close friend for her birthday. What was supposed to be an instant transaction is now over five days late. No gift card, just a confirmation number that even the chat box can’t help with. I will give just one more day, and then I will dispute the charge with my bank and be done with this company. This is especially disappointing for me because I have been a long-time customer who buys all my bedding from them and has recommended them to friends.

I saw a large item I was interested in at the Dartmouth location, but I wasn’t from the Dartmouth area, so I ordered the item online for delivery. Once my order was confirmed I realized it was not going to reach my home for the date I required. I contacted the store and they could not have been more helpful. They helped me cancel my online order the next day and honoured the online coupon code I used for the original purchase. Two of the staff assisted me by taking the item to my car for me. Very friendly and knowledgable staff.

I can’t even give them a one star. Sheets were damaged and poor quality. The chatbot was useless. Requested a refund and they sent me a new sheet. They didn’t even read the conversation I had with the bot. I will never buy from this company again. Plus I will let everyone I know not to buy from this company. No business ethics at all.

Worst company ever. No customer service, no updates, no information. I placed an order on November 28 and still haven’t received it. I also never received any email informing me of a new delivery date, even though it was supposed to arrive on December 1. It’s impossible to speak to a real person, and when I call the store, they tell me to use their online bot, which is shit and useless. I will never shop there again

Après avoir attendu 2 semaines pour la livraison, 7 des 13 produits achetés sont arrivés brisés ou endommagés :
1. Contenants Oxo livrés sans emballage dans une énorme boite, alors les parois de plastique transparent sont toutes grafignées et abimées.
2. Un beurrier en porcelaine avec un gros éclat, et la pièce brisée est introuvable, alors je pense bien qu'on m'ait sélectionné un objet déjà brisé à l'entrepôt.
3. Des ensembles de vaisselle à "prix régulier" de 100$, blancs sans aucune décoration, mais la qualité est très médiocre et une assiette était brisée dans sa boite.

I placed an online order with Linen Chest on Nov. 20, 2025. The order was divided into 2 shipments both delivered by Canpar. The first shipment arrived missing 9 out of 10 items
The second shipment arrived and both items were damaged. I immediately filed reports on the ChatBot and followed up with emails. As mentioned by previous reviewers, Linen Chest does not have a live customer service agent or phone number you can call for assistance. To date, the company has made no effort to connect with me to resolve these issues despite repeated efforts on.my part. Truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will be connecting with my cc company regarding a charge back.

I recently visited the Linen Chest at Pinecrest Mall, Ottawa and had horrible service by a salesperson and the manager. The salesperson said she was too busy to help me (she was putting out stock). When I asked the Manager who was at the cash, to help she lost her cool and said that they were under staffed and that I needed to be patient. The Manager (who would not give me her first name or ID no, if you are not happy then write a review. Hence this review. Both employees were rude, disrespectful and not service oriented. I will not return to a linen chest and I will share my experience with family and friends.

I placed an order online despite reading all the reviews. I dont know what I was thinking. I guess I saw items I needed on sale so still decided to go for it. Count down to weeks later, NO UPDATE ON ORDER, when I chat with that useless bot, I get little to NO INFO. I really do not understand how hard it is for a company to properly ship people's online orders. Whoever is in charge of this, should definitely be fired!! We are exhausted from trying to contact customer service via the bot. We contacted one of the stores to cancel our order because we do not want to deal with this anymore, and they said they will send an email to customer service bcoz they do not have the authorization to cancel it, so now we are just waiting....

We ordered 3 items just 3 items we saw people's reviews that they didnt get their items after 6 months or a refund but we tried our chances cuz they gave a great promotion worst thing we ever did in our lives. They said they delivered two items but they delivered a different order and the order we got is saying was not shipped you cannot explain this because their pea sized people do not know how to pack and ship an order we are about to drive to the store and get a refund or enhance the item we paid 1000$ for 3 items now we are scared for the order we got wont be complete like any missing parts because that's a thing too btw. Guys this is the WORST STORE OF MANKIND ID RATHER GET A BOX IN THE DUMPSTER AT LEAST ITS A BOX 3 items they can't deliver the person packing this stuff must be a low iq fob....

Horrible customer service. Ordered 3 weeks ago, only received half the order, DAMAGED, and had to return to a store for refund. Second half not delivered, Canpar has no information, company does not respond to emails, chat bot is useless, no phone number. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY. Will be contacting my cc to charge back these frauds. **UPDATE - today the order magically arrived, even in one piece - I won’t do this again, fyi.

As many people have said in the past reviews they have the worst customer service i have ever experienced. I visited the store as an out of town guest and I ordered something online based on the recommendation form a sale associate and it was not what i was told, now I am trying to return my online order within the 30 day window and I can not get in contact with anyone to authorize my return, it has been a week now. I have called customer service, sent emails, called my nearest store and messaged on Instagram and the AI chat, and still nothing. My only other option is to drive 2 hours to return my item. I am so frustrated I don't think I will ever order from them again, it is sad as i do like to support Canadian companies

My package has been "estimated for delivery: today" for a week now. I live in western Canada and have since learned that my order was likely given to a new courier to complete the delivery. Who that is know I don't because nobody at linen chest will respond to my emails besides the chatbot that doesn't provide any actual help. The canned auto response from customer service is that they have a lot of emails to go through, gee I wonder why, the customer service is atrocious and they do it on purpose to save money. I spent $200 on this order, so I guess Linen Chest is getting a chargeback because I won't be letting this go.
Update: After a few days the courier and Linen Chest both got back to me; I ultimately was unable to figure out where the package was in transit but they still updated me and let me know when it was out for delivery and when it didn't show up they promptly responded letting me know it got delayed again. The package did finally arrive and honestly the bed sheets are really good quality. They are thick and seem very well made. It was quite stressful not knowing where exactly my order was if I'm being honest, but since it did ultimately arrive and I'm happy with my order I would definitely take advantage of another sale in the future.

Moi je n’ai pas eu une bonne expérience hier et ce matin … suis allé chez Linen Chez, Vendredi ! L’ vendeuse qui m’a aidé n’était pas très sympa, très désorganisée. Je rester pour la démonstration de la cafetière De’Longhi mais je suis sorti après je voulais l’acheter et je me suis senti obligé de l’écouter pendant qu’elle était très désorganiser .. Je me suis senti mal pauvre dame elle m’a fait sentir qu’elle était trop débordé… Plutôt que de la faire souffrir et moi de ce sentir mal je suis allé online et j’ai trouvé le produit sur LinenChest.com, Ha que j’ai allumé lorsque j’ai vu que la machine n’était pas disponible en magasin Je l'ai commander online …Ce matin, dans un courriel j’ai vue que je ne l’aurais pas avant le 27 de décembre… J’ai donc appelé le magasin ici à Moncton, un autre membre du personnel, apathique presque assommante m''informa la De’Longni Evo n’était pas disponible en magasin …et tout ça même avant de préciser qu’elle était le modèle de la machine… #LinenChest pauvre service… Tout ça pour dire commande annuler et soigner votre service à la clientèle 😔
