Having looked at reviews for Liverpool Speech Therapy we knew as a family that this was the team we wanted to help and support our son with his Speech and Language development.
We waited a while as they had a waiting list which wasn’t surprising….
We got our assessment date and the ball started rolling
Both Sophie & Louise visited our home to do a assessment, a plan was devised that suited both us as a family and School where the therapy would take place mainly.
Luke made so much progress throughout his therapy with Louise that his NHS speech and Language therapy was cut short as he had achieved all targets with The Liverpool Speech therapy team (Louise)
The relationship between the therapist and pupil was imperative, our son looked forward to all his weekly sessions as everything was made fun
Given work to do at home and school helped so much too.
We can’t recommend this Therapy Team enough, we as a family are very grateful for all the support given to us and our son in what can be a very worrying time.

We were lucky enough to be assigned Brid as our daughter's speech therapist.
Brid is an amazing person and worked wonders with our little girl.
Having had NHS speech therapists previously, with no success, down to the lack of resources and funding, we decided to try privately.
Brid came to the house and assessed our daughter. She came up with a plan and the sessions commenced soon after. Emily has baffled several people but Brid was always prepared and had alternatives to hand should Emily not be so receptive.
After a couple of sessions the bond between them was clear and a wonderful thing to see. Brid had Emily joining in with the sessions and had her progressing.
Emily was always happy to see her and each week we could see more and more coming from her.
We cannot thank Brid enough for what she has done for Emily. You would struggle to meet a nicer, kinder, more caring person in the world, as well as somebody who is fantastic at their job. Some people are born to do certain jobs and this is definitely the case for Brid.
What she did for Emily will make a huge difference to her development. Thank you so much Brid, you really are a superstar.

As a second-year university student, I have recently completed an amazing four-week placement with Liverpool Speech Therapy! During my placement, I enjoyed a varied experience by getting involved with sessions for children and young people of different ages, primarily in various educational settings. I was also able to work with each member of the team individually, and they were just fantastic! They were so encouraging, supportive, and helpful, providing lots of opportunities for me to develop my knowledge of the field and learn more about the role of a SaLT (speech and language therapist). The team are also highly dedicated to their clients, and although my placement was only for a few weeks, I was able to witness many incredible achievements made by the children and young people...the sessions were highly rewarding, and I will not forget the wonderful memories I now have from seeing their progress and development during my placement. I am so grateful for this amazing experience - thank you Liverpool Speech Therapy! :)

The experience I had with the speech and language therapist was very positive. From our meeting you could tell that she was very caring and loved her job. The therapist really helped me to understand other ways in which to help one of our children and gave me fantastic ideas to implement in the nursery to support this child.

Brid was brilliant with my son .
As a parent she help me learn the best possible ways to help my son with his speech I now feel confident on what I need to do

We were extremely happy with the service we got from Liverpool Speech Therapy. Our little boy made a lot of progress and in the end loved his sessions. I would recommend Liverpool Speech Therapy to anyone who needs this service.

Brid provided excellent weekly speech and language support for a pupil in my Reception Class. The child loved the sessions which featured a range of interactive and fun games to encourage greater clarity in pronunciation of particular sounds and in structuring phrases correctly. Brid would always give feedback on the child's performance and would provide a homework sheet for the child to practise at home and in school, ensuring continuity between home/school.

Thank you so much to Liverpool Speech Therapy and to Brid who helped my daughter progress so much with her speech! Her speech therapy sessions were fun and interactive and Brid made each session so enjoyable. The progress she made was amazing! Thank you again!

Sophie and her wonderful team provide families with outstanding support. My son has received weekly sessions for three years and it has been fundamental to his development and our understanding of how to support him best. The sessions not only worked on his use of language but also his understanding of language and his willingness to direct attention to activities. When the sessions moved into his school settings the school were amazed by what he was willing to do within his hour with his therapists that they incorporated some activities into their daily practise within their ASD base. On a personal note, I cannot thank the team enough for their support, it was a blessing that we found them when we needed them most. They have always gone above and beyond, I always knew that they were an email away if I needed support outside of sessions. I would highly recommend Liverpool speech and language. Since my little boy started therapy he has come on so much and all the strategies and help I was provided was great! We had Brid, she has really helped my son on his journey and from where he started to where he is now, I am so proud and very thankful to Brid. Louise has been working weekly with my class for a few months now. She has built a lovely relationship with the children, they are always excited when she arrives to complete activities, especially bucket time.

Louise is happy to offer suggestions of how to move forward with the children and develop your ideas and/or introduce new ideas to support the children's learning. She has also started liaising with the parents so they can approach her for advice as well as how their child is developing.

I look forward to continuing the journey with Liverpool Speech Therapy, so both myself and my class can develop our knowledge and skills.

Sophie has worked with my family for over 2 years, she has given us the tools to communicate with our little boy, she has taught us so much and with her advice, help and support we have seen improvements in eye contact, communication, interaction and play.
I would definitely recommend Liverpool Speech Therapy, they are experienced, professional and friendly, we would not be where we are today without them.

Jill worked with my son in school and visited us at home too.
The service provided was excellent and really well catered for my son. My son would bring home resources which helped him to remember to pronounce his w,l and r. Honestly can't thank-you enough! It's had a massive impact on my son and the techniques help him to correct himself.

Our daughter loved the experience of attending the sessions and working with Brid. She was excited every day she was due her sessions and was always enthusiastic with the homework. The therapy has worked wonders for her speech and many of the issues had have now disappeared. We are very grateful and thankful for the therapy sessions. Highly recommended!

Jill has been working with children at our school and she has built some lovely relationships with them. The children always enjoy going to her sessions and they have made good progress with her. The follow up work is always thorough and appropriate for both home and school and children have also made good progress through Lego therapy. Thank you for the hard work Jill.

Louise is working with my 18 year old son who has returned to mainstream education after a few years in a Specialist independent school. He is benefiting so much from his weekly sessions.
He really enjoys working with Louise and they get on well. The progress he has made since starting with her is fantastic. His independence skills have increased and he is more confident.
Louise is very approachable and liaises with me weekly. I have been able to approach Louise for advice and she has gone above & beyond what you would expect. She is professional and knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who requires Speech & Language sessions. Good therapists make such a difference …. Louise worked fantastic with my daughter and she gained so much from her sessions with Louise and really enjoyed them . We have really noticed the difference these sessions have made to her so would highly recommend.
