Sends out codes by email with instructions to input them on the website that don’t work intentionally. When confronted, they want you to call them to place the order so you can get the discount. What is this 1995?

I purchased the Lobster Sports Elite Grand Four tennis ball machine back in 2017, and my experience with this company has been disgusting.

To start, the machine itself has been plagued with issues. Despite following their recommended calibration process, the ball shooter consistently misfires, sending over 50% of the balls straight into the net. I've tried various settings and drills, but the problem persists.

But the real problem lies with Lobster Sports' customer service. When I reached out about the missing remote control that was supposed to come with my purchase, I was given the runaround. The representative, Raf, acknowledged that I was promised a remote, but then claimed they couldn't send one since the order was from 8 years ago. This is completely unacceptable - a company should stand by its commitments, regardless of how much time has passed, and especially given the fact that I contacted them not long after I purchased the machine, and was promised they would ship one to me. Because I don’t use the machine that much I completely forgot about it.

To make matters worse, Raf's responses were dismissive and lacked any real effort to resolve the issue. His final message even had the audacity to suggest I should be understanding of their "limitations" in honoring their original promise.

Compounding the poor service, the machine's battery completely died within 6 months of purchasing it. When I reached out, Lobster Sports claimed it could be due to the original charger, and they suggested I purchase their "fast charger" for an additional $99. They refused to replace the battery under warranty, forcing me to buy a new one myself. For your information, the batteries they use are junk, and they charge $85 for their large capacity batteries. You can get an aftermarket battery for around half the price. It’s a 12V 18Ah SLA Maintenance-Free AGM. DO NOT BUY THEIR JUNK BATTERIES. I know a little bit about batteries, as I have been in the golf cart business for 14 years. If you’ve just purchased one of these machines and it is too late to return it, at least check the manufacturer's date of the battery. You would not want it to be more than a couple of months old. Lead-acid batteries like to be fully charged.

After reading the numerous negative reviews on Amazon about Lobster Sports' shoddy products and terrible customer service, it's clear my experience is not an isolated incident. This company has no regard for customer satisfaction and will gladly sell you a faulty product while providing zero support.

What's even more concerning is that Lobster Sports has been caught doctoring the chat conversation I had with Raf. I have a copy of the original conversation, and it's clear they've altered it to try to make themselves look better. This blatant dishonesty is unacceptable and shows the company's complete lack of integrity.

I would strongly caution anyone considering a purchase from Lobster Sports. Save your money and look elsewhere for a reliable and responsive tennis ball machine manufacturer. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I regret ever doing business with this company.
