Local Treasures Reviews

Very timely response to my request and work arranged and undertaken very efficiently.

My experience with Local Treasures was truly shocking. Firstly the tradesman they matched me with arrived a day late. The tradesman was not competent to do the job (which was merely to hang two Ikea shelves). In his attempts to hang the shelves he did allot of damage to my wall. This resulted in me personally having to patch repair and repaint the wall before find someone else to hang the shelves . Despite contacting Local Treasures immediately advising them of the fault, they still debited my account for the Tradesman's time, even though they told me I would not be charged. Its taken me a week and half of chasing them to finally process my refund. The only compensation they were prepared to offer was to send the incompetent tradesman (?) back to fix the mess he had caused. No thanks! Don't believe their marketing claims of vetted tradesman, based on my experience I very much doubt they are.

Good experience with finding handyman and fixing a problem with tap. Ivan is a nice and knowledgeable guy and I would have no problem using him again. However, was inundated with emails asking for payment even before the job was finished or I had been told the cost. They were asking for a card to be put on their database to ensure prompt payment. No way am I going to do that, and no way will I make a payment until I have received an itemised bill.

I found local treasures easy to access, I made a mistake on my email address and when I called the staff were so nice and understanding. Sammi was a real joy she tidied my garden gave good advice and done a fantastic job. I will use local treasures again for any jobs I need around the house

Local treasure, Sam, came to tidy a neglected flower bed and do some planting. He did a great job and I will use Local treasures again.

I was very pleased with the work Roger did in putting together an arch way
However, I did not receive an e mail invoice but today I got a phone call to tell me I am 3 days late with the payment!! and the amount was way beyond my expectations for just over an hour's work I played £42
I believe local treasure take a lot more than they pay their workers

Cleaning was OK, I suppose, but good luck trying to pay. The web site payment doesn’t work and no one picks up the phone. Oh but they have got time to add late charges while you try and pay them. A comedy of errors.

Booked a Treasure for some tidying up of our garden on the day we moved out (so as not to leave a jungle for the new owners!). Rosemary was really flexible about changing the time of arrival at short notice, she managed to salvage plants from pots we were emptying and just got on with things brilliantly and quietly while ignoring the manic people trying to pack up the house and do the removal. Easy to book, would recommend both the company and Rosemary.

I booked someone in April for May 21 as I wanted to be sure of having someone to help my wife that day.
Only 4 days before the job date the 'Treasure' called me to say she was not able to come. Despite calling the company twice, they did not provide a replacement. My advice is if you really need someone and do not want to be let down avoid this company.

Lisa did an amazing job tidying up our garden. She was also really nice and professional. Would definitely recommend!

I had my garden jet washed.and bush trimmed up.and weeds pulled out.the man was very polite and tidied up after himself. I have used local treasures 3 times now and find them very helpful.

I was really impressed with how quickly you found someone to do the job required. The handyman was competent and a very nice guy. I was pleasantly surprised how little the work cost. I have started recommending Local Treasures to my friends.

we found local treasures very helpful right from the start They found us the right man to do the job at very reasonable rates and the work was carried out quickly and efficiently. I would use them again if required.

I’ve been using local treasures for 4 years now initially contacting them to ask for help with finding a gardener who could provide a regular weekly service. Their match was perfect and in fact Nick has remained my gardener since and has never let me down. As I live on my own I need to be able to trust anyone coming into my home and knowing that they’ve been vetted by Local Treasures is reassuring. So much so I’ve gone on to use them for handyman and dog sitting services and on both occasions their Treasure matches have been equally as great. I can’t recommend this service enough.

The whole concept is brilliant and it works brilliantly, I had a very professional, skilled 'Treasure' and was delighted with the work.

Though as an elderly person I do find the costs high and difficult to afford.

We were very impressed with the way the efficient process worked with establishing the work required, receiving a call from the Treasure, timeliness of completing the job and invoicing and payment!
Ed was punctual, tidy and creative in completing the electrical work. We would certainly recommend Treaures and Ed extremely highly.

I love the idea behind the company, as well as the service provided. I needed someone to cut down a tree in my garden, and the local treasure Paul was great - he quoted a fair price, was punctual, did an excellent job. I will be using the company again!!!

This company is super efficient and helpful. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing help! They even answer the phone unlike most companies these days.....!

Benjamin did an excellent job with my tricky trees/hedge with great attention to detail and a very fair price. He was also very obliging and friendly.

I am very impressed with Local Treasures from start to finish. I put a message on asking for a task to be completed. I was provided with the name of one of their Treasures and called immediately to arrange a date for the task to be done. This was completed, as agreed, the next day. The Treasure, Andrew, was very helpful and did an excellent job. Invoice was received and payment made - job done! I would highly recommend Local Treasures.
