Avoid at all costs
I’ve been paying for phone insurance with Lovewitt Coverit for nearly two years, so I expected that when I finally needed to make a claim, the process would be straightforward.
I dropped and broke my phone yesterday and, although my claim was accepted, I’m extremely disappointed with what has happened since. I was led to believe that my phone would be replaced, rather than repaired, yet I’m now being asked to send my only phone away for repair, leaving me with no phone and no spare.
The whole process has been unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. I’ve paid for this insurance for nearly two years, but when I actually need to use it, I’m faced with a process that feels more difficult than it needs to be.
Accepting the claim is one thing, but actually providing the service you’ve paid for should be straightforward. At the moment, this experience has been so frustrating that I can completely understand why people might be put off making a claim.
Very disappointing, I feel I have been scammed !

We’d like to clarify that where a device is damaged, our first option is to assess whether it can be repaired. A replacement would generally only be considered where a repair is not possible or appropriate. This does mean that the device needs to be sent to our repair centre for assessment and repair, and we appreciate the inconvenience of being without your phone during this time.
We’re pleased that your claim has been accepted, but we’re sorry if the process or expectations around repair versus replacement were not made clear to you.
We certainly don’t want you to feel misled, and we appreciate you sharing your concerns.

Great peace of mind.
I took out insurance on my iPhone because it’s an expensive item. I feel lucky that I did so, as I accidentally dropped my phone, while lifting out my gym bag from my car, and damaged my screen. Communication with loveit was exceptionally quick and simple. I was able to connect with a human and got answers to my questions very quickly. I took my phone to an Apple Store sent off the diagnostic report from them and received approval to fix it with them, using genuine Apple products. Compared to the cost of repairs or replacement the monthly cost of the insurance is very reasonable.
This insurance company really do offer peace of mind.
