Born in 2015 from a passion for craft and quality, Maddisons of Durham is a small, independent supplier of jewellery-making tools and equipment — trusted by silversmiths, students, and studio makers across the UK. We’re a close-knit team (humans, dogs, and one endlessly curious Bengal cat), dedicated to offering friendly, down-to-earth service with a personal touch. Everything we stock is carefully handpicked with makers in mind — from trusted staples like Durston, ImpressArt, and Beadsmith to specialist gems such as Thompson Enamels, GreenLion tools, and the complete Fretz collection. We work hard to match big-brand prices wherever possible, so you can invest in top-quality tools without stretching your budget. Whether you’re just starting out or deep into your making journey, we’re here to help you find the right tools for the job.

Order has never arrived.
Ordered the watch glass in June and even after contacting Maddison’s several times the product has still not arrived - it’s now mid December.
Does the company actually exist or is it just a scam?

Good morning Sarbjit,
I am very sorry that this hasn't arrived.
Regarding now being able to speak to anyone, you did only email around 30 minutes ago at 11:10 PM. Unfortunately, we do only 8-4 PM.
I am looking into your order and will get back to you as soon as possible via email.
Best wishes,
Hannah
Poor customer service
Did not send order out and customer service was ignorant and did not respond to messages and no apology for inconvenience

Antwoord van Maddisons of Durham
Good morning Darryn,
I'm sorry you felt the need to leave us such a negative review and that your experience with us has not been a positive one.
We did in fact apologise via email (the delay was no doubt caused by the Royal Mail strikes). I can see by the tracking number the item arrived a day later than we would have liked and you were asked to get back in touch when it did arrive - which you didn't. At that point, we would have been happy to offer you a discount on your next order.
Please get in touch if I'm missing anything or if you need any further support. Have a lovely weekend.
Warm wishes,
Hannah
