Bloody perfect arrived on time, cake was lovely, boxing was great and the loved it thank you x

I placed my order on 1st of September and requested the cakes by 15th of September so I could put them in my daughter’s school bag for her 12th birthday on the 16th. Been in all day, Royal Mail usually deliver to me by lunchtime, nothing… Emailed advising my order isn’t received, then almost immediately get a notification that my cake will be delivered between 6 & 7pm, seems an odd time for Royal Mail to still be out delivering, then I get a notification saying they were unable to deliver as the address was inaccessible? LIES! I live in a detached house, with a large driveway, nothing inaccessible about my address, however, I was in when they supposedly couldn’t access my property, no attempt to step foot in my driveway was made (I have cameras). Really disappointed, was looking forward to surprising my daughter with a cake for her to eat after lunch on her birthday that she has to spend in school.
I should also note that I am not really sure how fresh these cakes are even if they did arrive on time, given I got a shipment notification on Saturday the 12th, delivery was supposed to be Tuesday 15th, but going to be at least 16th which is too late to surprise my daughter. Really disappointed does not even come close to how I feel.

UPDATE: While still very disappointed in my order being late, my daughter really enjoyed the cakes the day after her birthday as did her friends who she shared them with, she said they were really tasty and soft (now understand the Saturday delivery notification relates to label printing date not actual dispatch date) mailbakes were quick to reply to my email and concerns, of course delivery issues seem partly to do with Royal Mail.

My order was delivered earlier than expected, on the actual day of my Daughter’s birthday. To say she was thrilled would be an understatement. Thank you Mailbakes for the fantastic melt in your mouth cakes. Absolutely delicious.

Would highly recommend, I used this service 4 years ago and recently used again last month and it was so much better than flowers and was well revived and tasted amazing so I’m told

Unfortunately the card I ordered alongside the cakes was missing when delivered so 2 days after delivery I do not believe my friend knows it was me who sent her the cake. I’ve asked for a refund of the card which cost £10 but have received no reply and I believe that the company were going to let my friend know via email that it was me who sent the cake. Not good enough. Would not recommend unfortunately

I just needed to send a friend a little “thinking of you” gift and card… and your Mailbake was exactly what was needed! I ordered the Victoria sponge, which is her favourite cake and she was thrilled. It was there for her afternoon cuppa after a busy morning at work. She was delighted! Many thanks.

Very good service. My Granddaughter & her partner throughly enjoyed their cakes following a hectic time after the birth of their baby. My granddaughter was so surprised she could smell the cake before she opened the box. Brownie points earned for Nanny!

Ordered for MIL’s birthday. When she received it the cakes were squashed and looked nothing like the website pictures. It did not arrive in the extra envelope I had paid for and the card/box itself was damaged and then they had also ‘missed’ half of the order. I was firstly offered them to resend the order - I explained that her birthday was then over. I requested a refund and was only offered half my money back. I have explained that I do not feel this is reasonable and haven’t heard anything since. Would defiantly never use Mailbakes again! Very disappointed 😞

Perfect way to brighten up Grandad's day. At 97 life is small and one of it's joys is naughty food, ie. cake 🎂We don't live nearby so we like to send him treats and this, cake in the post, definitely hit the spot.
