I have been assisted by "Michelle Coulson of the Newcastle Branch" in being placed in a Temporary position.

She has kept me updated in respect to the application.

This is one of the first agencies which has provided feedback.

Feedback whether positive or negative, really helps when you are applying for numerous positions.

Having worked for this agency for around 14 weeks I have nothing but good to say.
Anything I asked for in terms of information and support I always got.
Clear and prompt calls and messages when required.
Since starting work as a driver I have not been out of work since starting and have now been taken on full time, so a huge thanks to the Castle Donington/Derby teams
Would have no problem recommending Major at all and will use again in future if needed

Avoid, they are the worst agency I have had to deal with, message them multiple times and just ignored, waste of time

And hard to get hold of yous never reply to my emails and never get phone calls, i will be contacting E.A.S after these lies

Disgusting agency who haven’t paid for a shift after still waiting for over a month with continuous lies, expect free slave labour, some staff have a terrible confrontational phone manner and stinking attitude. Don’t waste your time.

I tried to find out how to make a complaint about one of their recruiters through the proper channels by both checking their website and emailing their Huddersfield office (as I believe this is where the Directors of the business are registered), but there was no indication of how to do this and the Huddersfield office never replied.

Is the problem with the Huddersfield office? Any issue with an employee should be made to the Branch Manager of the branch you are dealing with. If you give us the branch, we can give you the telephone number and name of who you need to speak to, as we obviously would like to solve this for you.

I don't know because the recruiter does not make mention of which office they are working out of when you read their emails, e.g. in a signature block for example.

I was employed for just shy of 4 months with Major Recruitment, before I was taken on permanently by the company I was placed with.

I will say that Major were very quick to place me with my employer, but this is about the only good thing I can say about them.

This company will keep everything from you that they think they can get away with. My colleagues and I were not paid for inductions that we were supposed to be and were only paid once each of us raised this with our local representatives, even though these inductions were taken at the same time, only those who complained individually ever received their pay. This company is renowned in my workplace for incorrect payslips, holiday pay, and terrible responsiveness.

My main concern is the way they have handled holiday pay owed to me and my colleagues upon leaving the company. I have so far waited 45 days to receive the full amount owed to me, and while I have been very patient, I have been consistently ignored and strung along this whole time. I have also independently reached out to their head office to enquire about how they calculate holiday pay, a request which has also been ignored.

This company underpays its staff, and then ignores them in the hopes they will simply go away. Their practices are entirely without transparency and contact details for anyone of seniority is impossible to find, even the telephone number listed for their head office is the one for the local branch next door, and when specifically asked for a direct number for head office, this cannot be supplied.

Major will find you a job if they say they will, of that I have no doubt, but be very careful about receiving what you’re owed when you leave because it probably won’t happen.

I would not work for Major again, and unless you are absolutely desperate, I wouldn’t recommend you do either.

I have no words on how this agency and its workers have been ignoring me for over 4 months now. Last time they responded to my message was almost a month ago and I wrote them 3 since then (yesterday, 2 weeks ago and 4 weeks ago) - what did I get back? Nothing, silence.

As no one replied to my e-mail sent a week before to “admin”, on 15th March I decided I will send it again, but this time to 17 of your addresses, only of which just one responded - and it was Wakefield.

Hi again, it's been almost 3 weeks since my last message and nobody has contacted me still from Major Recruitment. That's why I decided I will make one last edit for this review and add some details to it.
At the end of last year I should've received a refund of contributions I made to Pension. Major Recruitment was supposed to refund me that money till the end of December.. Sadly, it's been over 5 months and I'm still being ignored by them and haven't seen the money - even though Pension provider has refunded that money to them on 1st February (agency was supposed to refund me and then get the refund to cover it from pension provider).
They probably didn't know I will get to know about it because in the meantime they even lied about me not being eligible for it..

I've had a great experience with Major Recruitment Glasgow branch namely Alan. Very professional, friendly, reassuring when you just lost your job and don't know your way around in the flood of job search engines. They make sure you and your employer are a good match leading you every step of the way.

Honestly I don't really do too many reviews, I have been working for major recruitment for around 6 months, and they are really good to work for. Anything I called up about they would sort it very quickly. I have nothing to fault them on. They paid perfectly on time every week, and I'm grateful for the opportunity they gave me. Which has intern landed me a full time job, Kelly was my direct contact and she was amazing.

I had series of registrations with some recruitment agencies without jobs until I joined Major Recruitment Ltd which offered me a job immediately after they verified me. Kudos to you, Major Recruitment, Leeds.

Major recruitment Oldbury is very good in taking care of their staff, Laura is very professional at delivering good staff management and discharging of her duties. My experience with Laura at Oldbury branch is top notch. Major recruitment is a nice place to work. Keep up the good work Laura.

Short but sweet experience. Tasha from Major Norwich was very attentive and responsive agent. Even on Sundays she will communicate.

If you're English don't both signing up with Major, you won't get any work. They constantly mess you about and favour a certain type of staff over others. They are a joke.

Bradford branch are great, very friendly staff - warm welcome by Chloe on reception when I arrived and Carlos the branch Manager couldn't do more to help me look for work.
