Great initial chat with Leonie who was super helpful and very informative. If I choose to go solar I would definitely pick this company.

MMHG have the most fantastic customer service. Gold standard. After having an issue since fitting (not their doing) they rallied and got us the help we needed so quickly.
The electrician they sent was the lady we first met when she fitted our solar panels. Just as she was back then, she was amazing. She sorted the issue caused by the Zappi fitter and made sure we had no other issues.
Both her and MMHG have been great and I’d highly recommend them. Thank you.

"I can not stop this company from contacting me. They are relentless. I have signed with another Solar installer and have unsubscribed multiple times to no avail.
I have never written a bad Trustpilot review before, but I have not enjoyed the continual harassment from this company, either by repeated sales calls or by email.

We received good advice on our solar panel requirements. The whole process went as smoothly as possible although there was a couple of problems with the scaffolding and electrician changing their dates at short notice however the company rearranged to suit us and where very apologetic. All staff at MakeMyHouseGreen and the tradesmen were all polite and courteous. I would highly recommend this company.

Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. MMHG have admitted the grave errors that occurred throughout the process.
We were sold the wrong panels- twice, sent photos of panels which we hadn’t been sold, there was a decrease in the wattage of the panels we were sold, the surveyors got the incorrect measurements and so we went from 12 panels to 7. All of this after we had placed an order in good faith based upon their advice. The panels had been ordered after the surveyor had measured, we had scaffolding up, our roofer was on site preparing the roof- the roofer then measured what MMHG had provided only to realise it was all incorrect and panels would not fit. We spent £1000s on this project. MMHG admitted their errors and provided no compensation.
MMHG admit their system is seriously flawed and that the surveyors and sales system is not fit for purpose and I absolutely would not recommend using them.
We used them due to their partnership with Cotswold District Council- but the DC do not appear to be aware of how the company operate which is totally shambolic.
Do not use this company.

Jess did a brilliant job and came up with different options and really helped us decide and understand what solar package was best for our needs

Reassuring to have a company such as this carrying out work on your property. Their extensive knowledge, & skills, were much appreciated when we installed a solar carport & battery backup.

Support and advice around the choices etc in initial phase. Regular communication via e-mail of progress. Priced competitively. Work carried out well and left site tidy.

When selling you the product, nothings too much trouble, but even the day of installation was incompetent when the fitter didn’t even bring a ladder and had to rebook! After installation…and we’re talking a matter of weeks and the system has issues…trying to get assistance is extremely frustrating. You’ll be left for weeks waiting for an appointment with an engineer with an inactive system and no solar benefit through summer. Luckily we weren’t entirely reliant on it for power with a small baby at home. They’ll make you pay £150 callout fee if there’s ever an issue (an incentive for them to be issues) even if products in warranty, and leave you disputing between Make My House Green & Solis as to who’s responsible for fault. They’ll change engineer attendance times short notice by email - no call to discuss, which is super unhelpful if you’re a working person. Given incorrect advice by their employee and pull them up on it - funnily enough it’s a sudden case of “oh they don’t work for the organisation any longer”. Why a corporate brand such as Nationwide would put their name to this I’ve no idea. Definitely look elsewhere!

Bobby is a friendly, knowledgeable, patient guy who is a good guide through the initial process, he suggested various options. I cannot comment on the quality of the final installation as we chose not to go ahead - we (ourselves) decided solar was not a good fit for our roof due to the size, direction it was facing and we wanted to preserve the shingle roof tile aesthetic.

Even though i didnt finally select MMHG as our final supplier I spent a lot of time with Bobbie who was super friendly and very professional, helping me to understand the more Technical side of Solar, Inverter, and Battery backup. This was important for me as I believe you need to understand everything to help make a sound decision. Bobbie was very helpful in this area, explaining things again as needed helping me to understand everything during the process. Thanks to Bobbie for the time spent with me and the careful planning of a solar solution, I would highly recommend him.

Had a really useful call with one of the sales team. Actually helped answer my questions and understand what I needed. Rather than just trying to push why their panels were better (which everyone says). Looking forward to the next step and getting a survey.

Completed form on the website in March 2024. Recieved some marketing emails but nothing about the survey I'd requested. No callback as promised. Didn't get a response or hear anything from them until February 2025!! They then sent a text and when I replied that I was still interested they booked a consultation for today. No one rang at the appointed time. I messaged the number that had booked the appointment and she apologised and said she'd chase the team. Nothing. Messaged again. Told her when I would be available until. Waited an hour. Nothing. Doesn't bode well. Then read reviews. Sounds like a lucky escape. EDIT: I've now provided extra details so it can be investigated. Lucy who sent me SMS was lovely. Shame the rest of the experience was so shonkey.

Sadly they were late to the party when I was getting some Solar quotes a while back and thought nothing of it.
Last week I receive a message asking “is this the same person (using my name) that enquired about solar with us a while back”.
I thought nothing of it was it’s from a number I don’t recognise … then I get a message saying “just bumping this up in case you got busy before”.
I am sorry, who do you think you are? A company “bumping” messages because they are ignored or not read!
By far one of the most rude and outright obnoxious way to market I have seen in a long time! Thanks …. But no thanks!

Fantastic experience so far. I've just booked a deposit after an initial series of consultations and designs. I'll be back up update this review in due course.

My wife and I got fed up with other solar suppliers quoting an arm and a leg, using dodgy estimates and being very pushy with sales.

MMHG are a breathe of fresh air in an otherwise tiring industry - Jess, our solar consultant, walked us though the process of understanding our requirements, usage and used her exceptional knowledge of solar and battery systems to answer all of our questions candidly and quickly. There wasn't a point in the process I was unsure, or felt as if MMHG was rushing us.

The design process itself far exceeds that of other suppliers we got quotes from - clearly in house MMHG have got some special software that allows them to very accurately provide estimates of efficiency and optimisation - they even built a cool 3d model of our house, and illustrated the effects of shading from the nearby trees.

Using their website and walking through it with Jess, our design consultant, we picked a quite exotic battery and solar setup to complement our heat pump setup, and we were pleasantly surprised the quote came through only marginally more than some of the other suppliers had come up with for less than half of the kit.
