Great Company
I was quite dubious at first about ordering solar panels, but after reading the reviews here I decided to go ahead with MMHG – and I’m very glad I did.
From start to finish, MMHG have been there to guide me through the whole process: sales, delivery, installation, and even post-sale questions. Having heard plenty of horror stories about other companies in this industry, I was naturally cautious, but my experience with MMHG has been excellent.
Bobby was great throughout the sales process – helpful, informative and never pushy. Rosie was equally fantastic when it came to delivery arrangements and dealing with post-sale enquiries. Both were professional, responsive and made everything feel straightforward.
I very rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to write one this time to let others know how good this company has been. If you're considering solar and feeling unsure like I was, MMHG are well worth speaking to.

A Solar install full of sunshine.
From the moment I explored the idea of solar with Leonie, to the fantastic install team, (John, Wayne and Neal), finishing the build, our experience has been amazing.
Then the back up from the office team and the coordination by Rosie, has left us feeling supported and very happy with the install. We are now generating our own electricity and have already been able to charge our car as well as charging our batteries,(in just a few hours at the end of the day).
We would highly recommend the MMHG team to anyone looking at solar.

I wanted to take a moment to give formal recognition to the installation team — Mark, Mark and James — who completed my recent solar panel install.
From the moment they arrived, their service was genuinely outstanding. I honestly don’t think the experience could have been any better even if I was King James. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every step of the job was handled with care, professionalism and a brilliant attitude.
They took the time to clearly explain what they were doing, why they were doing it, and how they were overcoming any challenges they encountered. The communication was spot on from start to finish.
Having worked in customer service for almost 20 in customer service, I can confidently say I’ve never witnessed better service.
I couldn't help look at the safety standards (as discreetly as I could!). Every harness, every karabiner, every piece of equipment was used exactly as it should be, with absolutely no shortcuts. Their commitment to safety was exceptional.

I recently had a home battery installed.
I recently had a home battery installed by the team at MakeMyHouseGreen and couldn’t be happier with the results. The system has completely changed how I manage my energy: I’m now running the house on cheap off-peak electricity throughout the winter and maximizing my solar usage during the summer.
The installation process was smooth and the team was professional from start to finish. If you're looking to gain more control over your bills and get the most out of your solar setup, I highly recommend them.

First Class installers but the business is chaotic.
In summary, Top quality installers and helpful staff, held back by befuddled business systems. read on to learn more.
First and most importantly, The installers do a fantastic job. Kia, Jack, Tyron, Frankie and Louis. They are very neat and tidy while working, take a lot of pride in ensuring the quality of work is robust, will last, no shortcuts or bodges, is fully compliant with regulations I didn't know existed and the end result is neat and tidy. Even if it means they have to take a more difficult route to get there.
Secondly, The person I had as my contact, Rosie, is a compassionate and understanding true people person. Despite the many and varied issues I have had, she has doggedly trudged through them all to find a solution where possible. It's also fair to say the company as a whole is trying hard to improve.
But MMHG. Where to start. I think in summary they have real and existing issue with their business systems. The result is a muddled experience that seems to have taken forever, and is still ongoing.
My journey started on 2nd July, 2025. At time of writing this review in January 2026, I am still waiting on important documents to allow full export to match the system I was sold by their Guru and had fitted.
The Guru is basically a salesperson. During the selling process they have many diagrams and calculations to show what can be achieved. The more you buy, the better the system and better the long term return on investment. The do a site survey too. The survey has all the information needed to apply for full export. But it is not passed on.
The initial install was offered in August, but I couldn't do that so it was delayed until the first week of September. A further delay because the scaffolders needed the supply cables from my DNO shrouded, something highlighted in the July survey. Delayed it until mid October.
Mid October, sheathing covered, contractor scaffolders arrived Monday, install done Wednesday and Thursday, scaffolding removed on Friday. A tantalising glimpse of what MMHG can do. The spec had changed from my agreement with their Guru. But the new spec was better, and had great reviews, so I was happy.
After completion, the installers told me a vital part of what I had bought (Gateway) wasn't available in the UK so they would have to come back at a later date.
(At this point it's worth noting MMHG's payment policy: £200 starts the process then three instalments of varying size at various times with the last due once the job is complete and the homeowner is happy.)
The Gateway was not installed until mid November.
In the meantime, keen to get the ball rolling with Export, I asked for all relevant paperwork, but I wasn't allowed it until I had settled the full amount, something I wouldn't do until the job was complete and I was happy, as per their terms. I found myself at an impasse with MMHG. Their computer just said no.
When the Gateway was installed the rest of the system started to misbehave with how it functioned with the app and how it reported data. I took many pictures, sent many emails, but kept getting everything but an actual installer onsite to check the last modification was done correctly. This seemed a logical action to me.
Their process was to contact the manufacturer for advice and wait endlessly for a reply. Even telling me they were stuck because of the wait.
I continued to withhold the final payment. And as a result MMHG refused to release the documents to enable export. My contacts' hands were tied, as MMHG's systems only worked this way.
In December, 5 months after the install started, I wrote to them outlining my issues. Again MMHG sprung into action and showed the type of company they could be. Within a week an installer was on site and had found and rectified the issue. They assured me they would never shy away from any issue. It just took a proper letter to remind them.
The installer also found another issue, but didn't have the time to rectify it on the day. we agreed both of us would write to MMHG to ensure he could return at a later time to sort it.
The system worked again, so I paid the final bill.
Having lived with solar and battery for a while, contrary to what the Guru said, I found the battery size was possibly not big enough. So I enquired about getting by battery doubled in size. The initial reply demonstrated even they weren't sure what I had. Confusion reigned, and it affected their quoting system.
But the real kicker is the documents. I got them on final payment just before Xmas 2025. I did't act until Jan 26, but found MMHG had applied for a restricted Export application, limiting me to 3.68kW instead of the full 8.5kW I had installed. The Guru had all the info back in July and my DNO is happy to grant it. But MMHG have not acted on the info they had because their systems are not wired this way.
So I continue to wait............

MakeMyHouseGreen supply quality equipment. One of the local team who were installing the equipment carried out an on-site survey before installation liaising with the customer on preferred routes for wiring and about details of fixing the panels on the roof, etc. The installation team were excellent with all their work done to a high standard with attention to detail and they were friendly and communicative with the customer.
