Leider unterstützt die aktuelle Mamp Pro für Windows (Stand 09/2026) nur eine veraltete MySQL-Datenbank und ist deshalb für Anwendungen, die MySQL 8 erfordern ungeeignet.

Cet éditeur possède deux logiciels dédiés au Mac : Mamp et Namo.

L’inconvénient majeur est une interface bien plus dédiée aux geeks qu’au débutant.

J’ai ouvert un ticket afin de savoir si je pouvais bénéficier d’un mode d’emploi ou un tutoriel.

Je n’ai eû aucune réponse.
Il semble que cette société ne connaisse ni le respect ni la politesse.

Bref n’achetez pas leurs produits : c’est de la 💩💩💩💩💩

Fantastic product and customer service. I accidentally entered the wrong email address upon purchase of MAMP, so the confirmation email never made it to me. I was able to submit a support ticket and Den got this sorted out for me. Awesome product for development.

Den did an excellent job in assisting me with restoring MAMP PRO via an update.

Love the product. It makes it very easy to switch the PHP/MySQL versions and create multiple virtual hosts without fuss.

The annoying part is - it keeps sending you update reminders even if you don't want to get the latest update. The product comes with lifetime license for the purchased version and it should continue to let us use it without any reminders.

I would rate my experience as excellent, so far.
I enjoy the product, works well.
Support is ok as well, got everything sorted out fast.
I hope you guys at MAMP will continue to improve a product...so far, great job!

The software is indispensable for everyday use. Support responded quickly and provided clear guidance. Regular updates ensure I always have the latest versions of the languages and servers I use.

Problem with my licence was solved succesfully in a really short time

I’ve been a paying user of MAMP Pro 7 and everything was working perfectly fine—until a “minor” update completely changed the situation.

After updating to version 7.x (which was presented as a routine update), I was suddenly told my license was no longer valid and that I need to purchase a new one. That’s extremely frustrating and feels misleading.

A minor update should not invalidate an existing paid license. If there are major licensing changes, they should be clearly communicated upfront—not forced on users after installation.

This kind of practice breaks trust. I paid for a product expecting stability and continued access within the same major version, not to be locked out unless I pay again.

Until this is addressed, I can’t recommend MAMP Pro to others. Be careful with updates—you might lose access to something you already paid for.

alles bestens. wie immer. ist halt in die jahre gekommen die software, aber es genügt und der preis ist echt gut :)

Ich verwende Mamp Pro seit der Version 5, aktuell zum Zeitpunkt die Version 6.9. Hauptsächlich zur lokalen Entwicklung und für den Komfort, damit nicht von Hand die Konfiguration von Apache, Mysql und PHP in einer Entwicklungsumgebung machen zu müssen. Leider wurde meine Dauer-Lizenz für die Legacy-Version 6 von 2024 plötzlich im Februar 2026 deaktiviert, wie sich herausstellte aufgrund einer Server-Wartung beim Hersteller. Über den Support erhielt ich eine Ersatz-Lizenz, mit der ich die Software wieder in Betrieb nehmen konnte. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass die Reaktionszeit auf Störungstickets besser sein könnte; in diesem Fall (wo vermutlich viele Nutzer betroffen waren) dauerte es von Störung bis zur Lösung leider 14 Tage, die ich überbrücken musste. Die Funktion der Software selbst erfüllt seit Langem meine Anforderungen, daher nur 1 Stern Abzug für den angefallenen Überbrückungs-Aufwand - schnellere Response wäre hier auf jeden Fall besser.

Licence stopped working. Support do not respond.

As it turns out, MAMP Pro only supports Localhost developments. It seems to be a quite thin wrapper around the MAMP (=WAMP?) webserver. The Pro version is not very well layed-out and seems to be left without maintenance for quite some time. Easy access to various config files is one of the few helpful utils I was able to find. The support is unhelpful, to say the least.

A fresh download and install on the latest operating system version from their own site is not only the latest version, the app asks to update itself after installation - a trap which, if you fall, will start creating all kinds of problems from rejecting your MySQL password to not saving your changes including password resets.

The support gives wrong directions and harmful advice which breaks your installation even more. And then they simply ignore when further errors arise because of the wrong instructions they themselves gave. They are now even sure which version is published as the latest version on their website.

Buying a license and an upgrade was the last mistake I've made.

Great setup, but somewhat slow to update software. Running on deprecated mysql versions. Customer support is close to non existing, even for paying customers.

I love PHP because it's a simple language. I wanted to be able to test it without any web compilers and this does the job perfectly!
