Elegant red-skinned variety
Mild flavour, perfect raw or cooked
Great storage potential
Multi-sown for easy planting
‘Roderique’ is a striking red-skinned shallot known for its mild flavour and versatility in the kitchen. Whether sliced raw into salads or cooked into savoury dishes, these shallots add a sweet, subtle punch. Supplied in multi-sown modules, each containing 20 strong young plants, they’re ideal for quick transplanting and reliable results.
Adjust spacing to suit your needs – wider gaps for larger bulbs or plant closer together for bijou-sized harvests. Either way, you’ll enjoy a crop that stores well and delivers great taste.
Plant in free-draining, well-prepared soil. For compacted or heavy ground, mix in a soil improver like Westland Jack’s Magic to help bulbs grow strong and true.
