I've been using Meowtel for cat-sitting services for several years and have had nothing but great experiences with their sitters. They are specifically cat-friendly (from the sociable and playful to the "invisible" to all but their own human). Sitters always let you know when they've visited (as they're arriving, during, and/or after), let you know about feeding, water, and litter box status, any interactions - often with photo documentation - and sometimes even provide extra services like soothing cat music during their visits to shy (selective!) kitties. They really care and the ease of communication makes it a lot easier for the "helicopter" cat parent to be away for a any amount of time.

Erica from Meowtel was fine getting along with my cats but she was completely negligent in their care! After going over detailed written instructions at the meet and greet one week prior, and leaving them to refer to, this is what she did… day one, assumed leftover sitting wet food meant they were fed, she admitted to fluffing it up and not giving them a fresh can. She also assumed that their water was replaced. It was not ,and she thought it was perfectly okay to leave it. I gave her my phone number and instructed her to text me with any questions, she didn’t. She offered to come and feed my cats whenever they were used to eating which was 8-8:30 am then again 5-6pm. She agreed to this.After her second day morning visit ,she informed me through text that she had an event at 5 and couldn’t be there that evening until around 7-8. I wasn’t happy about it but I was already gone and what choice did I have. (p.s. at our meet and greet just a week before there was no mention she had these plans.) If I had known I would have chosen a different sitter. That evening, when I didn’t get a notification that she arrived, I texted her to ask when she was going to be there! (it was already after 8)no response… 45 minutes later she texted me “not to be upset” . Too late…My cats had already gone 13 hours without food) She said she was at a party and it just ended. She was another 30 min away. She didn’t show up until 9:15! I called support at Meowtel(who were very supportive), and they arranged for a different sitter to take over. Once Erica was told that I no longer wanted her to care for my cats, she dropped everything, left dirty bowls in my sink and left . She didn’t stay more than 15 minutes. I was in Mexico celebrating my 35th wedding anniversary and I had to deal with this for 3 hours. It ruined our evening! I will never use her again. Nothing worse than not be able to leave your babies with peace of mind. Instead of apologizing she texted me that she hopes my cats and my home will be ok! WHATT? My home?Is this a threat? Beware of this irresponsible sitter! I chose her based on her previous reviews, which were stellar . This was the first time I was using her and this is what happened to us!

Setting up my side gig as a kitty sitter with Meowtel was a breeze! They helped me understand every step of the way during the hiring process and set me up for the best chances possible to succeed!

Finally a pet care company catering to just cat!! The hiring process makes sure each sitter is a true cat lover and caretaker. The costumer service is AMAZING and the sitters are great with communicating detailed updates and send pictures.

Meowtel has impeccable customer service. They are quick, thorough, responsive, helpful, and actually read and respond to the emails that I send. They are a pleasure to work with!

So glad I found Meowtel. I always worry about responsible care for my cat when I'm away. Morgan put my mind at ease with updates and photos of my Abby. Greatly appreciated!

Everyone is so helpful at Meowtel and I cannot say enough good things about this company. They have made becoming a cat sitter such a wonderful experience.

I love working for this platform and I wish it continued success. Clients are satisfied with the convenience of the app and it's user friendliness. I love that I'm insured by Meowtel and that they take Sitter screening so seriously. This allows clients to feel more at ease knowing they have someone vetted and capable watching their sweet kitties.

Our sitter is great!

We love Penny, we have used her on a number of occasions, and she takes good care of our cats when we go out of town. She is prompt and extremely sensitive to our cats needs. Our two fuzzy critters love her!

Meowtel makes sure that the sitters in its pool are fully vetted and we haven't had a bad experience with them yet.

Conscientious and empathetic people who truly love all animals, especially cats. They have proven themselves to be trustworthy and caring. I would recommend Meowtel to anyone who wants their cat(s) well taken care of.

I am a Meowtel Cats sitter. I have been for almost 2 years. Those of you complaining about the refund policy. Let me set your straight. You’re using the wrong cat sitter. The cat sitter is allowed to waive that cancellation policy. I myself have never kept anyone’s money before during or the last visit of a reservation. If the clients plans change, I give them, Meowtel, full instruction to give them a full refund. So you need to find yourself a new Meowtel cat sitter.

Excellent first experience with Meowtel. The cat sitter was prompt to reply to my messages, sent daily texts and photos and was great with the cats. Even the shy one, who usually hides, came out to meet her during the "meet & greet". Very reassuring to know the cats were in good hands. Will definitely use Meowtel again when needed.

Meowtel does not pay their cat sitters. They charge the clients, pocket the money and then do not pay the sitter. Maybe they refund the cat owner so they are getting free labor but I suspect the clients are getting screwed too.

But they give the sitter no explanation other than they were not able to show proof that they were actually there and of course the usual BS about "violating their terms of service" and adding some cute cat lingo that isn't so cute after they exploit your labor.

I was told after the sit I was going to have to show date and timestamps to get paid anything at all. If this is a requirement then they need to have a punch in time clock on their app. But who the hell is going to tolerate that?

I took pictures of the cat on a regular basis and was texting with the owner. The owner had a camera set up in their house but it was the owner's option I guess to never share the footage which would have certainly proved I was there.

I don't see how this business is going to survive when they treat people the way they do.

I have never left the care of my kitties with anyone other than family members. Some think it is crazy to worry about pets when you have to be way a day or a week. I am there for them everyday and they have things they count on from us everyday. Meowtel hires trustworthy pet lovers you can count on to ensure your pets are cared for as if you were there.

Their customer service is HORRIBLE. I had to cancel our request to have a sitter watch our cat while on vacation. Meowtel charged my credit card SIX WEEKS before the service was even needed, and then they didn’t refund my credit card when I canceled the request. I’ve never heard of taking a payment WEEKS before the service was completed.

We were planning to go on vacation on July 27th, and Meowtel had already charged my credit card for the service on June 16th!

I had to file a dispute with my credit. card company to get my refund. My credit card company said Meowtel wasn’t even in the process of sending the refund.

I’ll never use them again. Pro tip, get a cat feeder instead of using Meowtel, it will save you a TON!

I've never had a sitter that was paid for a 44 minute visit stay for 45 minutes. I travel a lot and work crazy hours while away 20-40 hour days. I'm often not able to review the footage until after their "agreement" window and had to pay for services not rendered. Have also had negative reviews rejected. The site does not seem to stand behind their customers and their pets as much as their sitters... i wish there was a better site

Ron of Sebastian pet sat our three felines for five days and did an outstanding job. He sent pictures of our trio, Jerry, Lexi, and Dungaree playing with him. He arrived in the morning to feed and clean up before 10:00 AM.
Ron is a cat lover and recommend him highly to care for your felines.
