Modern Musician Reviews

Modern Musician is a game changer. They’ve taken me from being frustrated with how to utilize social media as a musician to becoming an expert on sales, running ads, automation, and everything that goes along with being a digital marketer. This is by far the best program for any musician looking to learn the ins & outs of how to run a profitable music career in an increasingly digital world.

Modern Musician

Last spring when we realized we would not be on the road for the first summer since about 1999 we figured we need to do something productive for our business. We have been in our band for 30 years and touring with that band since for 20 of those years. Our band and music has been our sole method of income since 2003 so not touring in the summer last year was a big chunk of lost income. For me I was seeing a trend each year less an less income from shows. So I knew we needed to change up our way of really thinking about how we did music. I am so grateful that during that time I found Modern Musician. Michael Walker has a definitive way of opening your mind to so much that you can so to change the trajectory of you music career. So many skills that we are taught in a format that introduces you to other likeminded musicians so you have built in support group. Before Modern Musician I still had a traditional view of what kind of living we could make that mostly involved going on the road and making records. Being a Modern Musician is so much more than that because the music industry is what you make it and once Bob and I learned that not even a pandemic can stop us from being the best musicians we can be. Because of what we invested in ourselves last summer we have been continually earning close to our goal income each month since March. If you are at a-point in you life or career that you know you are ready to because the best at managing your career I highly recommend trying Modern Musician.

I have been seriously creating music for about 1 year and growing my fanbase on a bunch of platforms. I was on my artist grind... but I really wasn't making much money from my passion. I was hitting hundreds of thousands of streams on my own, but I was barely making any money for my essentials. I was kind of lost... I had drive, but no guidance.

That's when I found Modern Musician. Earlier this year I was swiping through IG stories and i saw Michael's ad and honestly I skip through ads very quickly... but he seemed very genuine and it really couldn't hurt.

Long story short, I made an investment IN MYSELF. I've spent thousands of dollars to pay for textbooks, classes, and items that I didn't care about. But this time... i made an investment in what truly matters to me. My growth as an artist and getting paid for my creative desires- is the path I chose for myself.

I've learned more in this year, than I have in my 4 years of college... i use the tools almost every day and have grown my fanbase tremendously. Slowly but surely, I am getting paid for my value as an artist, musician, and person. The support and encouragement this team has for me? We family.

Choose your path and keep moving forward!

Hey you!
If you’re reading this, and you’re on the fence about joining this program, I’m writing this review specifically for you! DO IT!
Michael and the entire Modern Musician team have their product down to a science, and you will NOT find anything this comprehensive on this end of the market!
I was nervous about the initial investment, and there are times when I felt like I might be in over my head, but that’s just my own insecurities telling me I won’t succeed. And guess what, they know how to help with all that sticky mindset stuff too! 🧠🧼
It’s a program for the artist’s business AND overall well-being with strong foundational courses and a warm welcoming community!
I took the leap and never looked back, and neither will you!
Good luck! 🌟

I learned a great deal and gained new tools to propel my music career. I felt the total cost of the program was far more e expensive than originally advertised after all the extra tools and services.

My experience with Modern Musician has been absolutely game-changing. I signed up for their gold artist program three months ago, and at the time I was afraid to part with my $5000. The experience has been worth five times that much.

The skills and tools I've been given over the last three months are groundbreaking. Everything from discovering and developing my artist identity and continuously getting in touch with my driving purpose for making music - to learning how to market my songs to an engaged fanbase, honed in through the most up to date advertising tools. And ultimately tapping into a fully automated system that allows me to focus on the craft I love rather than spending all day at the computer.

Modern Musician has blown my mind and awakened me to the new wave of what it means to be a successful independent musician in the year 2020.

I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to make it without a record deal. Now I feel confident that I can make a living as a musician playing my own music, on my own. And when/if the right deal comes along, I will be ready to make them my partner rather than my savior.

I could not recommend Modern Musician more highly. If I could make one suggestion to a fellow indie musician - don't wait as long as I did to take the leap.

First of all, I've done quite a few coaching programs in and around the area of music marketing. Some have been ok, others not so much. With Michael and the team at Modern Musician, I've found not only a coaching program with a methodology that truly works, but a community of like minded people looking to continue to learn, grow and help each other.

It's an investment, but then anything worth pursuing is going to be. I'm sure I've got a lot to learn and a long way to go towards growing my fanbase, but Modern Musician has given me a start and a path forward to continue to work with them and engage with their artist community along the way.

Highly recommend.

Modern musician has given me so many tools and innovative ways to improve my marketing approach, how I connect with fans and everything in between that I never thought of before. The program is bursting with ideas and useful tips and tricks that work and bring results. One of the most rewarding things is the community of other musicians you get to connect with and exchange questions and experiences as you progress through your music career at your own pace. It’s empowering being in control of how the back end of your business is running, instead of relying on others you are educated on how to do it yourself! Nothing but love and respect for the Modern Musician program and community.

I’m using this program to skyrocket my online success with the marketing they teach. Currently selling over $800/mo in merch!!!!

I was a client of Michael's 3-Month music mentorship program and I can say that hands down, Michael has improved my ability to reach my goals and make a much bigger impact with my music. I easily got 3 times more value from working with him than I expected. My personal growth and the growth of my band as a business has improved dramatically. I've learned valuable social media marketing skills, organization skills, systems, and feel empowered by the knowledge that I gained in the program. I had already been touring internationally, had record deals, and fans worldwide but marketing our band efficiently online was our biggest weakness. Now I have solutions and skills that I can continue to use throughout my career to correct those weaknesses. Michael is also one of the most genuine people I know, and it's nice to see him making a huge difference in musicians' lives. I would recommend him to anyone truly serious about making a living as a musician in the modern era.

Michael has now changed the way I view music marketing helped me turn my music into a self-sustaining business. In 3 months of having Michael as my mentor, my music career grew more than it has in the last 10 years combined.

I don't make the best music in the world, but I'm proud of what I create. And for 10 years, I had no fanbase... no growth. I was like a caveman trying to start a fire. I worked really hard and spent a lot of time "rubbing sticks together" trying to start a fire and get my career moving, when instead, I could have pulled out a lighter and started 100 fires in the time it would take a caveman rubbing sticks together could start even 1. The problem... I just didn't know how to do it. Like the caveman, I worked super hard but saw minimal results.

Enter Michael Walker - Now, have a profitable, self-sustaining music business that is growing on AUTO-PILOT 24/7 using my best already-existing content. I have a clear and solid fan-path leading my fans to listen to my music, share my music, join my fan community, and actually purchase stuff from me. I work harder than ever, but now that I know how to work smart (and use a lighter instead of sticks), it makes that hard work a whole lot more rewarding.

Thanks to Michael, I'm not a "caveman" in the music industry anymore.

Connecting with Michael Walker and the Modern Musician team brought my entire music operation to a whole new level.

After each subsequent meeting, I could feel my consciousness evolve more and more as how to connect with new fans, monetize my music, and automate my systems so I could spend more time making music.

It's pretty amazing to see my mindset as a musician develop as an entrepreneur, and I have Michael and the Modern Musician program to thank for it.
