Go to other companies if you can help it
This company is consistently out of stock, to the point where it feels like they don’t actually want customers to buy from them. Basic stock management is clearly not a priority, and it’s beyond frustrating to waste time checking for items that are never available.
Customer service is just as poor. There is no sense of urgency, care, or accountability when issues are raised. Instead of trying to help, it feels like customers are brushed off and left to deal with the inconvenience themselves.
Management’s attitude is frankly disgusting. There is a complete lack of professionalism, and it shows in how the business is ran and how customers are treated.
What makes this even more concerning is the number of glowing 5-star reviews with names of staff attached, they don’t feel genuine at all. They come across as forced or fabricated, which seriously undermines any trust in this company.
I am fed up and tired of the stress of chasing up with this horrible company about when I can possibly purchase uniform for my son. Stress which could be avoided if the people who run this circus cared at all about their reputation and supplying their stores to ensure a successful business and keeping their customers happy
Overall, I would not recommend this business. Until they sort out their stock levels, take customer service seriously, and show some integrity, nothing is going to improve.

WORST SCHOOLWEAR EVER
This company is a shining example of how NOT to sell schoolwear, with their subpar quality and extortionate prices. I agree with the frustration of parents and carers having to pay a fortune on their kids' school clothing which costs more than theirs. And I wouldn't have too much of a problem with it if the clothes were in good condition, and the tattered rags with loose threads in them that Monkhouse provides are the exact opposite of that. They won't last a month, let alone a year. If there were an option for less than one star, I would use it. I rarely am vocal about companys' horrible service but this one with an experience so shitty has earned this review fair and square.

How nice to.have Great Service
We called in the Preston Store yesterday to change a uniform skirt that was the wrong size but also wanted to swap it for trousers, how nice it was completely Drama free.
We also bought a few other bits.
How nice to have prompt, cheerful service, a pleasureable experience you do seem to get these days.

The staff there were genuinely very friendly and welcoming, and also felt very comfortable there and not awkward what-so-ever, and they helped us the best they could with helping us find what we needed. Definitely 5/5 stars!

I went in to exchange some school trousers that were faulty. Caroline, the deputy store manager, exchanged the trousers, no problem and also highlighted that I got 20% off due to an in store promotion and refunded the difference. Really great customer service. Thank you!!

I went with my daughter to the chatham branch.The staff by name Sonia was very helpful and assisted us all the way . She was very polite and acted in a very profesional. It felt like we already knew us . She ensured that we didnt miss out on anything. I was also particularly happy about the 20% discount on the day.

Horrendous service in shop as they…
Horrendous service in shop as they could not find the school in question when I have purchased of them previously and some items, although very limited sizes, were on sale in there department. I was asked to contact Customer Services who again could not find the school. Was told they would report it to their IT and call me back. A week later and no callback. I have informed the school about this as it is unfair that a child is being questioned about not wearing the correct school uniform.
