I sent an online enquiry via the Moore Barlow website on 22nd Dec (received an initial automated reply) - I’ve not been contacted by anyone - disappointing considering this firm and specific person (Erin Lyon) was recommended to me.

We had an excellent experience with this firm during the sale and purchase of our properties. The team were kind and empathetic throughout, worked very efficiently, and were always approachable and professional. They made what can be a stressful process feel smooth and well managed. Highly recommended. In particular we would like to Thank Verity Mount for her wonderful hard work throughout, Verity was brilliant.

I recently lost my 18-year-old son in a tragic road accident, and I had the solicitor Matthew Claxson from Moore Barlow LLP supporting me with the many concerns and issues surrounding my son’s death. Matthew was second to none. He was sympathetic, respectful, honest and genuinely truthful in every interaction.

From our very first call, his communication was fantastic. He kept in touch, kept to his word, and continuously updated me. He accompanied me to the inquest, where he was both supportive and highly professional. He made sure every question I had was addressed, and it was clear that he had paid close attention to every detail. He spoke exceptionally well in court, and several people commented on how amazing he was.

We recently worked with Verity Mount for the purchase of our first property, and we are so happy with the service we received. As a first time buyer, beginning the process of choosing a solicitor was very daunting. During screening of my quotes, Verity from Moore Barlow walked me through the entire process over the phone beforehand and made it very easy to follow. She maintained great communication across the rest of the purchasing process. The rapid responses from the Moore Barlow team during document requests and negotiations made me feel like a priority, and I never felt like I was in the dark on our end of the deal.

The process took slightly longer than expected, due to renegotiation after things were noticed in the building survey. I was given good, timely advice on how to proceed with renegotiation and additional surveys, which allowed me to buy with confidence and feel that I was paying a fair price.

I would definitely recommend to other buyers, and especially first timers who have understanding the process as a priority.

I was involved in a car accident April 2024, upon discharge from Hospital they recommended Moore Barlow to manage the compensation claim.

Having used this company previously (as part of a different LLP), I was keen to return to Moore Barlow as they had provided an excellent service before.
I was not disappointed and from the initial discussion back in May 2020 to the end of the personal injury case in Feb 2025 they were there every step of the way providing clarity and excellent advice on what was going on previously, now and any next steps. Our day-to-day contact was through Niamh Glackin-Brown who is absolutely amazing at her job and her knowledge and skill-set are not frequently found in her rank. There was nothing to much for her and she really put in a lot of effort to get to know everyone in the case personally so that she could provide the best advice. This was really put to the test when ensuring that people attended meetings that were important and that they understood exactly what was going to happen. Michael Hayward is dedicated and provides a scrutiny to all matters that is very reassuring and Damian Horan brings a high level of experience as a Partner to the overall running of the case and to provide services when it came to actual meetings. The outcome was exactly as we wanted and the aftercare and advice for what to do next was also swiftly forthcoming. We are still using them for further work as well - there can be no greater recommendation than returning.

Jonny - thank you for responding to my complaint. I’ve just received a letter from your client service team that appears to sweep all concerns regarding victorias behaviour and Karen’s lack of delivery under the carpet.

On the previous calk I requested a call or meeting with a senior partner of the firm. I also called Victoria on two occasions after the disastrous initial complaints call with her and Karen and asked to be called back. I was told my calls would be returned. Still to this day they have not been.
Please could you speak to your client service team and arrange in in person meeting to discuss in my complaints in detail.

I note that the letter received confirms that Karen has lied to protect herself and this will now need the input of the ombudsman.

I would highly recommend Moore Barlow from our experience with Sally Rolton in selling our father’s home. My father has used Moore Barlow for many years and after he moved into a care home she helped us sell our family home, always coming back to us straight away with answers to any questions we raised. She was extremely personable and sensitive to the difficult circumstances we faced with my father’s health. Because of our experience with Sally we would recommend Moore Barlow to anyone.
