8-day round trip from Casablanca: better than we could have ever hoped for!
I could easily write a whole novel on the amazing week we had in Morocco, but I'll try to keep it to the highlights..
We found Moroccan Tours just off of doing some googling and between their prices and how responsive they were, it didn't take us long to decide we were going to schedule a tour with them. We originally booked a 7 day trip (Casablanca to Marrakech) but due to flight schedules, we asked if it would be possible to add an 8th day so we could be brought back to Casablanca, and they obliged immediately, which was amazing! The company's flexibility and willingness to work with us and our schedule was such a relief, I would recommend this company in a heartbeat! Not to mention, all of the hotels they booked us in were absolutely stunning, which was an added bonus.
For the trip itself- It was just my friend and me, and as 2 women travelers, we went into this tour with probably more than a healthy dose of concern, because we knew it would just be us and our driver. However, all it took was spending lunch with Aziz on our first day to realize we were about to have a phenomenal week! Aziz took such good care of us- he was an amazing and safe driver, he gave us tips and suggestions for each city we visited, plus some historical and cultural context, and he just went above and beyond in every possible way. One of our favorite stops was one that wasn't on our itinerary, and that was getting to see Aziz's family home in the desert. For him to share that with us and tell us stories about his childhood and his family was just so special because we know he didn't have to do any of that. You can drive around a country, see the sights, eat the food, and have a great time, but it's the people and the first-hand stories that really bring a country to light and we will always be grateful to Aziz for allowing us to get the most out of our 8 days in Morocco.
I cannot recommend this experience enough! It will forever be one of my favorite trips.
