A very special & rare company that make incredible glasses.
I recently visited Moscot London, to buy my very first Varifocal glasses. I bought the classic Lemtosh frames and I couldn’t be happier.
The care and attention that the Moscot team gives is something very special. There is no rush or any sort of sales talk, it’s just an old fashioned family run business, and it shows.
I have never been to an optician that care so much to make sure you’re happy with your purchase.
Not forgetting the huge selection of frames & colours to choose from. And also frame sizes, this is very rare, as I have never seen another brand that offer this. So you can perfectly size their frames to be an ideal look.
I also booked at eye exam and their optometrists are incredible, they test your eyes using old school traditional equipment. No fancy electronic machines. And it really makes a big difference. I have had many exams at those big chain companies, and this exam far surpasses all of them.
I’ll finish by saying that you really need to visit Beak St Moscot, even if you are just looking. It’s a beautiful store & they have wonderful staff. And I’m sure you’ll be as happy as I am.
Moscot being a family business really shows because this company really care about their customers, this is rare to find as mostly you only find commercial companies these days.

I purchased my MOSCOT frames online. Although satisfied with the frame quality, etc., they're too large.
And so, while I would prefer to exchange my MOSCOT frames in person via the MOSCOT retailer near me. The MOSCOT return policy unfortunately forbids such a convenience, instead mandating shipment of the frames to Farmington, NEW YORK.

J'ai acheté des lunettes en ligne
J'ai acheté des lunettes en ligne, grosse erreur ! Sur leur application qui permet de les essayer fictivement en ligne, elles m'allaient très bien, mais une fois réceptionnées, ca n'avait plus rien a voir, elles sont beaucoup plus grosses que sur leur site.. Méfiez vous car sur ce module, étrangement tout vous va !
J'ai voulu les retourner, et on me dit très gentiment que c'est possible, mais que je dois les renvoyer a mes frais aux USA. Je m'inquiète en cas de perte de colis ou d'avarie, et on me répond que c'est a ma charge.
Le prix du colis sans signature vers les USA m'a découragé = 41euros.
De plus le colis est tout petit vu la taille des lunettes, sauf a les mettre dans un plus gros carton, les risques de perte sont énormes. Après avoir pesé le pour et le contre, je les ai conservées, et je ne les porte pas car elles ne me vont pas.. 335€ jetés en l'air !
J'ai déjà retourné des articles achetés sur internet, en principe c'est beaucoup plus simple et pris en charge, même pour des articles bien moins chers.... En proposant ce type de retour, Moscott sait pertinemment qu'il décourage les acheteurs.
Par ailleurs, je pensais que c'était fabriqué aux USA, mais non, c'est made in CHINA. Les lunettes sont donc fabriquées en Chine, puis expédiées vers les US, avant d'etre renvoyées en France. On marche sur la tete.

Mi sono lasciato andare ad un facile entusiasmo. Il problema sull'occhiale più nuovo diciamo che è parzialmente migliorato ma alcuni segni non vanno assolutamente via, il che rafforza la mia idea che quelle che si vedono non so macchie di sporco ma è il film protettivo di acetato di cellulosa che viene corroso col sudore. Ho tentato l'operazione una seconda volta seguendo le vostre indicazioni, anche sulla montatura vecchia e non ho trovato benefici significativi. Posso anche inviare foto. Ribadisco la mia delusione circa questo prodotto che ha un prezzo di fascia alta che tuttavia non rispecchia affatto la qualità che dovrebbe avere.

My experience with Moscot has been extremely disappointing. My girlfriend bought a pair of glasses from the NYC store as a gift for me, but since I already own a similar pair, I wanted to exchange them. Moscot refused, claiming the glasses had been worn, despite the fact that I hadn’t even taken them out of the case. The glasses were clearly display models, already scratched when sold. To make matters worse, the store manager was rude and kept making false accusations throughout the exchange. This level of customer service is completely unacceptable

As much as I like the brand (have 3 pairs) I have recently noticed the price disparity between locations. At current exchange rates a pair of Cliptosh (with tinted shades) is in the US £135, France (or the EU as a whole) £126 and the United Ripoff Kingdom £180! That cannot be all down to our wonderful govt, they're not cigarettes for chrisake!

My first experience with this brand in an offline store in London was successful, so I decided to use their online service to order glasses to another city in Europe. This time it was a terrible experience.
I ordered glasses and the frames were crooked and were slipping off my nose. I asked the store to fix it, but they refused and asked me to sort it out myself at the nearest optician and they also offered me to order additional nose pads, which would cost another 75 euros + shipping of glasses at my expense.
I expected better service when I ordered glasses for 400 euros! Now I have a piece of unnecessary plastic for 400 euros that I cannot wear and that no one can fix. (the nearest optician can't did not help me) Think before you order, then re-read these comments and think again.

SCAMMERS
At this point I'm calling them fraudsters. I spent over 400 on a pair of glasses and they never mailed it out. They keep asking me to verify the last four of my card number and the billing address. I reply with the information and they continue to send me emails to verify the last four my card and billing address. Scammers. I will be filing a suit if my glasses aren't shipped by next week.
I will see you in court!

My Moscot Hamishes right arm broke off from wear, they are quite fragile, moscot wanted more than half the cost of the glasses for just one arm.
Check the cost of spare parts before you buy.

At least decide on the correct number of years in business if that is your thing.
I'm always wary of businesses that constantly tout how long they've been in business. Since the eyeglass business has changed dramatically over the years, it should not be your #1 thing. Plus when you read the responses to the reviews they don't even agree on the number. It goes from 105 - 108 years in business. If that's going to be a big thing they may want to agree on a number. Then, you find out their product is made in China which is the exact opposite message they are trying to portray. Frames made in China with generic lenses made by them = a killing in profits. I just do not believe that the value is there and in actuality the product is WAY overpriced for what you are getting. 105/106/108 years in business means nothing if what you are selling is a cheaply manufactured product from China.

Moscot were pretty good through the buying process and provided regular updates and fast shipping to the UK. I haven’t needed to return the frame so from my point of view the customer service has been pretty good so far. I am however disappointed in the overall frame quality. After wear jacques MM for the past year, and the lemtosh frames being close to some of the cheaper JMM frames, I expected similar build. Slightly disappointing overall by the product, more in line with specsavers own brand or similar rather than high end handmade frames. Cool frame and tints though so pleased with the overall look, but doubt it justifies the price point.
Terrible experience
Usually my go-to sunglasses. Unfortunately Moscot sent me a faulty pair. Although they accepted the fault they have since then completely ignored my emails and have offered no acceptable solution. I would advise against ordering online from Moscot, especially from Europe, as they have seemingly no qualms against completely disregarding even their own warranty.
