Bought a car from them late February 2026,2 months passed and engine light appeared,took to my local garage who said would need to go to peugot,car was mis firing and he said software update required.Took to peugot who said carbon build up in valves was issue,warranty people said they wouldnt cover so called motortrust peugot had already started work but motortrust wanted 2nd opinion,i was looking at 2 bills to cover.They have basically said they will not help with any part of the £1150 bill i have had to pay.Check warranty decreasing every year you have it,not worth paper it printed on.

The car needed a major repair after a couple of months. This was a replacement wet belt, which must have been know to the company, no one ever raised this. I left several messages but no one responded. I am so disappointed

I recently purchased a Fiat 124 Spider Lusso Plus from Motortrust in Haslingden, and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience, particularly the exceptional service I received from Jay.

I had been searching for the right roadster for around two months and had done extensive research before finding this car on Auto Trader. After making an enquiry, Jay contacted me and immediately impressed me with his knowledge, professionalism, and honesty. As I am based in Ipswich, over 180 miles away, I was naturally cautious about buying a car without seeing it in person. Jay completely put my mind at ease.

He took the time to talk me through every aspect of the car and even arranged a WhatsApp video call so I could inspect it remotely. What stood out most was his honesty. I purchased a 2019 Mini Cooper, and during the purchase the agent was the height of customer support. 6 weeks later the air con failed, I have a 12 month warranty, on reporting the issue, was told the air con is only guaranteed for 30 days. On trying to confront the dealer, they ran away, after me phoning to say I was 20 minutes away. Very poor after sales service.

Terrible customer service and after sales. When buying the car, the sales associate had agreed via email to replace a missing front tow eye cover, however, it has been utterly painful to get them to honour their word. The car developed other issues after purchase like a failing rear radar and an issue with the car alarm going off. Even after getting the fault confirmed by a garage at my expense, it has been impossible to get the sales associate or anyone in the company to rectify the problem.

Phone support after buying a car is non existent with each personal claiming they are their own managers and not possible to escalate the problem. Multiple times was put on hold and had the call abruptly ended or never transferred

Went to MotorTrust at Haslingden to look for a new car. I won't go there again and wouldn't advise anyone else to. The car I looked at needing the rear wiper blade replacing as it was damaged. Four times I was promised that this would be dealt with, but was strung along and basically lied to. I dealt with Aidan Heath and Carl the sales manager. Once they've got your money they're not interested in resolving any issues. The car was also supposed to have had a service to change the oil and filters, but I never saw any proof of that so am not convinced it happened. I'd advise you go to a small, independent dealer where the customer service should be far better.
