I would never recommend this company
I would never recommend this company. I had an agreement with Ken Stanton music and had been making payment plans on a Lease 2 Own. We were under the impression our instrument was paid off. Come to find out Music & Arts took over the contract. Redid it and now saying I owe for another 3 years when I should be done with this thing. Their customer service is terrible and should be fired immediately. Outsourced too from the 3 interactions. Also the one Rep did not submit my escalations so it sat forever. I had to call back in to get help. Do not buy from them. They are not helping me resolve this issue. If anyone from Music & Arts wants to reach out to me. Go for it!
Problem after problem
Where do I start? First, terrible customer service. Every time I call in, the reps seem to have an attitude like I am inconveniencing them.
Secondly, for the second month in a row, they have just taken money from my account, without prior authorization. They stated that they don't need it, since my account is in collections. This is the worst business practice I have EVER experienced. I never agreed to them taking out $100 every two weeks, yet they continue to do so. They should be ashamed and I will NEVER EVER rent from this terrible business again.
When I called in to voice my concerns, the reps had no sympathy. Totally dissatisfied with this company. BEWARE!!
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS ORGANIZATION!
Company continued to bill my credit card after my purchase of rental instrument per the agreement. Numerous calls over a several month period - Every call to customer service was met with a promise to resolve. It took 6+ weeks to resolve (is still ongoing) and a BBB complain filing. After deleting credit information - they started mailed me bills with collections threats. Do NOT rent from this organization - they will continue to bill you after your obligation is satisfied, apologize, make promises to resolve but will not. Reps will promise refunds but will take 5-7 days and when none is received - a follow up call will be met with another promise to refund - but escalation will take additional 2-3 days.
Deceptive practices
We returned our instrument to the school and they continued to charge our credit card after the return. I have called customer representatives several times and they refuse to do anything about it. The rental was sent to the school and we were told to return it to school but they refer to the contract that says one line about needing to call them when we return the instrument to the school. It's very confusing and deceptive.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. I gave them a card for a one-time payment and was assured it would not be billed again.
They build it the next month and made my account negative because I don't generally have any automatic payments come through that checking account. When I called to complain that they build my account unauthorized, they took no responsibility for the fact that they told me they wouldn't bill that account again. The lady refused to transfer me to a manager. The lady told me they will not remove that debit card from my record and that they will bill it again if the current payment method declines. I told her that that's not authorized to be billed anymore. I went around and around with her but she didn't seem to want to help me at all. I had to call my bank and change my debit card number and dispute the payment. I've never encountered such horrible customer service.
Not a good experience
Ordered rental instrument, two weeks later nothing came....Called four times, like other complaints here are saying they are outsourcing to Asia, and actually people are nice but they can't help, telling warehouse did not provide shipping #, and they will email when it's provided. And no response after that. I emailed, no response, and yes I did check my spam folder. This is terrible attitude. And not a good way to run a business. Honestly, I would not deal with this again...unbelievable waist of my time and no communication.
Music and Arts is awful
Music and Arts is awful - a shark corporation gobbling up community music and rental stores. Their custermer service reps are outsourced to Asia (Philipines mostly I think). They do not know what they are doing. Their website is horrible. I sent two email on their website and have not gotten a response. I am going elsewhere to rent instruments for my grandchildren
Worst customer service experience
Worst customer service experience. I called customer service to complain about the store requiring kids to wear masks. The lady on the phone was so unprofessional she hung up on me when I told her that I refuse to mask my kids and that my kids haven’t worn masks in two years. I’ll be taking out my kids right away. Stay away.
STAY AWAY and go somewhere else!!
STAY AWAY and go somewhere else!!! After returning an instrument, several months later they sent me a bill for $50 worth of equipment I never bought nor possessed. I called and talked to them twice and they said they’d take care of it. Then, I got a letter in the mail from a collections agency trying to collect the amount a month later. It’s not even about the $50, but its the principle that they tried to charge me for goods I never bought or received and after speaking with them multiple times about it they sent it to a collections agency instead of simply resolving the issue with integrity. Beware and STAY AWAY! They’re crooked.
