Kevin and Myhomehelper were incredibly helpful with queries I had at the outset. The system has changed the lives of my mum, my sister and I! We can have videocalls which are fabulous as mums hearing isnt good and the face to face aspect really helps. We can send her photos when we aren't with her, of places we have been, and can send on photos emailed to us from relatives overseas. The reminder and message functions are fabulous, as the screen grabs her attention and we can jog her memory about medications/visits etc. And mum doesnt have to do a thing, no buttons to press, no learning how to use it. Just simple and easy to use (for us too!) Absolutely fantastic!! It was recommended to me by a friend whose parents have dementia. Im SO glad that she told me about it as it really has made a whole world of difference!

Brilliant system, i could keep my dad up to date on all his appointments.
Best thing was when he didnt hear his phone i could send him a message on the screen and he would phone me, so i knew he was safe.

This is a fantastic device for anyone who has an elderly family member, elderly friend friend or just someone who is not technically literate. It allows a user to 'drop in' and have a video call with the person who has the tablet. Importantly, the person who has the tablet doesn't need to do a thing; everything is controlled by the user. While the interface is very clunky and there isn't a mobile app, these are more than outweighed by the benefits. The tablet can show photos, messages, calendar, and alarms when not being used for video calling. My children, wife, and I use it to video call with my mother. She just sits there, and we magically appear. Great.

The customer service at MyHomeHelper has been amazing, responding to my queries quickly and going above and beyond what i had expected to resolve all of my queries.

The myhomehelper service has made a real difference. It has been a great facility to help us keep my mum at home living independently for the last 2 and half years. It has been invaluable to be able to send reminders, to nudge mum to do things, and check she was ok with the video facility.

Also, there were many occasions when she left her phone off the hook and I was able to initiate a video call to get her to put the phone back. This was important not only so she could receive calls but also to make sure her fall alarm would work if needed.

The device and technical support has been very helpful to communciate information for our Mum. She benefited from seeing the weekly overviews and being able to view the photos fo family.

The myhomehelper helped us stay in touch with Mum, sending her messages, reminders, daily video calls and photos to help her remember happy memories and loved ones. It was brilliant because she didnt need to do anything apart from positioning herself in front of the screen for the video call. The support desk was very good in resolving any issues, especially when Mum moved to a nursing home. 10/10 piece of kit, the same for the customer service. THANK YOU

This is the most amazing use of technology for someone with mild dementia. Being able to put reminders on and video call is so useful in preventing isolation. Well done Kevin on such a great product which like all hood inventions came out of necessity.

Bought for my mum with Vascular dementia. She struggled with diary & time management but was desperate to be in control - this was a great way to offer hands off help! She was a very early riser too & appreciated reminders to go back to bed. When we went away we uploaded lots of photos & messages while we were away to keep in touch which she enjoyed & now she is in a home the photos remind her of family.
I gave 4 stars as I never worked out how to do the video option & the uploading process was a little clunky but it was absolutely invaluable to keep mum independent for as long as possible - recommended!

Having the Myhomehelper tablet at my dad's place has been really useful for him: I've set up reminders for him about the day's activities, interspersed with photos and memories, the BBC headlines and a traditional-looking clock. It's been easy to update his calendar remotely. It's a simple idea but works really well, both for the old person and the person (ie for me, his son) doing all the updates remotely.

Found myhomehelper on a web search whilst trying to find something to help communicate with elderly mother (97). Easy to set up and now using. What a great simple tool for reminders and video chats!! Does everything it says on the tin!

The My Home Helper tool is brilliantly simple and effective. It helped me to support my mum from afar because, not only could she see the schedule for the day, her carers, dog walkers and other people could see it too. The video call function was an emotional lifeline for her.

The company behind the tool always responded quickly and personally.

My Mum who has dementia has adapted so well to the My home helper. She has a white board with the week’s activities written on, but if things changed it wasn’t always possible to change the white board in time.
The Home Helper is set to display what is happening that day. It has helped Mum take one day at a time. Being able to edit the information remotely from my phone or laptop to update the screen quickly is brilliant.
Daily reminders for her Meds are helping too.
The video call is a great feature and Mum copes really well. She is very deaf so being able to see us on the screen too really helps her. It is much easier than the telephone. It’s great she doesn’t have to do anything to answer the call. It’s great for those in the family who live further away too.
Having a trial account first helped us see how it worked and Kevin even extended it for us when we hadn’t had enough time to try it out.
It has been a great tool and Kevin really has made it user friendly and once confident with it, so easy to use.
Not seen anything else as good on the market.
Technical support is available from Kevin too which is great backup.
I would highly recommend this product!

Myhomehelper has been invaluable for communicating with my elderly mother who has dementia and lives at a distance. She really struggles with technology and didn't always answer the phone, but the myhomehelper requires no interaction at all from the person receiving the call so it was easy to have video chats and see she was OK. I mostly used it for video chats but other functions like reminders and sending photos are useful too. Don't know of any other service like it so really pleased I found out about it.

Great system to video call a dementia sufferer with out them having to do anything their end. Also a great electronic photo frame and enables reminder texts and alarms to be set up. Very good customer support. My mum has now gone into a care home and no longer needs it but it was a great thing for her to have for many years before that.

Ok device. But needed help with set up .. emailed several times and used online forum - nothing. Contacted about change of bank details - nothing. Customer service is pretty much none existent.

This is a brilliant device for keeping in touch with an elderly parent with dementia. We've been using it for about a month now and have found it to be a fantastic way of reminding dad what is happening when. He is a lot happier now he knows the shape of each day, and can be prepared for visitors and phone calls from the family. He was previously obsessed with getting ready for imagined upcoming appointments, so it's also been useful for letting him know when nothing is planned so he can relax!
The automatic video calling has been invaluable for overseas family keeping in touch with him as he can't operate the iPad that they were previously using when my mother was alive. An all-round great bit of kit that makes things so much easier and alleviates worry all round.

We bought this in 2022 for our Mum. She had it in her bungalow and then we installed it in the care home she moved to. It was a fantastic purchase and so helpful for Mum and us. The mobile video improvements were much easier than the VSee app. In the last few weeks before Mum passed the video was so helpful so we could see in.

In the last few years of his life, my father (who lived on his own and had dementia) was struggling more and more to remember to do everyday tasks like taking his tablets, remembering who was visiting etc. We got him a MyHomeHelper tablet on the recommendation of friend. It was a game-changer for him and for the family. It gave him that gentle prompt he needed to assist with daily tasks - and also enabled family to communicate with him as needed. He became more relaxed than he was before, and it also gave the family peace of mind. The device is easy to use and does not need the main "user" (in my case, my father) to do anything complicated. The service from Kevin also excellent. I can highly recommend.
