My dog had a serious condition which was tret by 5 different vets. The consultant that originally diagnosed his condition was never to be seen again. Misdiagnosed one condition which resulted in quite a few trips which cost money. Wrong medication was prescribed. In total it was just over £4000 luckily I had pet insurance but unfortunately there was £80 outstanding they didn't hang about sending that to a debt collector who then doubled the due balance Reception staff are lovely and all the vets I've seen was lovely. However it is a money obsessed place once your limit is up they don't want to know. For 1 condition there was about 20 claims amounts such as £12.44 as there was panic of not receiving it. So overall the staff are great it's the insurance administrator you want to watch out for as she just randomly charges for things and will send you to a debt collector even though you have sent them an email explaining the situation. My dog is still under there care but believe me when that money runs out they don't want to know. So half way through an immune condition I've had to change vets to a more less money obsessed company.

The vet was about to weigh my dog in the reception area when a couple came in & queue jumped & she advised them for about ten minutes, whilst holding my dog by his lead as I stood there waiting with my little boy.
Not to mention that the prices are nearly double what my current vet charges for the specific procedure as I checked. I won't be returning so you may as well remove my details. Might I also add that she didn't seem interested when my elderly dog started with a panic attack either. No empathy whatsoever.

I had to have my Rottweiler put to sleep on the 8th December 2019 being a Sunday, Myerscough vets A59 Longsight road charged £400 call out then fees to have Harvey put to sleep + his cremation.I only lived a mile from the vets and to charge so much for call out for a dogs welfare no compassion

Took our pet in to have a lump checked. Vet said she would test it. She then said that the lab fees cover up to three lumps so we may as well test the wart on his leg too. We were not concerned about the wart on his leg, so we weren't sure but she again said it would be free so we let her test it.
One month later we get a bill for £200 as they have put it through as two claims. Petplan told us that we had been misadvised. Different types of lumps are classed as different conditions, which makes complete sense. The vets admitted that they knew about this. So why hadn't they informed us?
I put in a complaint and explained that due to covid 19, I have no income. My husband is on 80% furlough. We have a family to feed and we are struggling. They have refused to agree that it was their mistake. They refuse to waive the outstanding £100 due to them giving us bad advice. Heartless money grabbing lieing group of practices. I spent 5 years working in a different practice and I know how this should have been resolved. These guys do not care.
Especially as my pet needs his lump removing so they would have got more money from us in the future. Not now. Don't trust them.

Oh and they nearly killed him last time he had an anaesthetic there because they were rushing and gave him too much.

Bad vets

Took my 8 month pup Butch to above vets 18/05/2020 for some treatment for an ear infection.

We turned up on time, there was someone in the doorway of the vets with their dog so we waited outside in the rain (no problem, we are aware of social distancing guidelines).

We waited outside for 10 minutes, nothing appeared to be happening so we looked through the window and saw a lady at the reception desk, the rest of the reception area was empty.

We called, via mobile from outside, the lady answered and advised that we could not enter the building because of social distancing?..

The waiting room was empty with all but the receptionist there and this room is about 12 metres by about 12 metres, to us, plenty of room to social distance instead of waiting outside in the rain.

People waiting outside on the path are forced to break social distancing guidelines as the path is not wide enough to safely pass one another.

All this would have been OK, but for the fact that we were not informed of the vets practises, just left outside in the rain until we rang for information.

To top it off once my dog had its treatment all efforts to social distance were eradicated when the lady came back with my dog, she brought the card machine for me to pay, stood within a foot of me, no P.P.E and she passed me the card machine!!.

Total Chaos really, no organisation whatsoever, this was our first visit to this practise and due to the experience also our last.

To be honest the vet lady even looked like a rottweiller and frightened my dog.

What a shower of uncaring muppets.
Paid a rip off £225 to have my daughters dog cremated. Waited nearly 2 weeks and eventually had to drive to Blackburn to collect it or wait another 2 days for the vet to receive it.
All cremations are done overnight normally... tried to complain. Not interested.. just told to write in.
Also my daughter seems to have become MRS on the certificate that was dated the eleventh.... the dog was committed to them on The sixth!!!!!!!!!!
