Very disappointed in the general quality of the wine sent. The magnum contained disgusting Argentinian Malbec - probably their revenge for the Falklands! I won’t be continuing with this outfit.
We ordered 2 large cases as we saved up the money for Christmas on 12th December…no delivery…had an email Christmas Eve saying they had a problem with delivery…had to go and spend money getting wine….which was not accounted for…am going to try and get our money refunded into our bank account…wish me luck😬
Dreadful tricked me into having an angel account when I simply wanted to make a one Off purchase as a thank you for someone. Considerable time and effort to unsubscribe hopefully my money will be refunded soon would not recommend.
Desperate and sad. They signed my up to some Angel group, something i never authorised and took £25 out of my account on Boxing Day. Such a pathetic and desperate business.

What a vile company. Paid into naked wine all year and I have no Christmas delivery. I had been promised all week that it would turn up before Christmas Eve as I’d ordered it in plenty of time. Obviously it didn’t. So I have no wine and champagne for Christmas. I have found out this evening that the company has major financial issues and my alcohol was probably not even on its way. So the way it looks at the minute, they have stolen my money and I have literally no chance of getting it back. Thankfully I have cancelled my subscription so they can’t take any more money and I’ll wait to see if I get a refund. This company never reply to emails and don’t answer phone calls very often. If they do answer the phone they just give you a load of rubbish about your order just to get you off the phone. They are a vile untrustworthy company and I would totally avoid. All being well they won’t be around much longer
Used to be good, but today the 24th of December we have been told that our Christmas wine order has been lost in transit and they are unable to provide a replacement. We now have absolutely nothing!! £50 credit to our account is little help or compensation at such a late hour.
If I could give -0 stars I definitely would! Ordered case on 13 December so it would be here for weekend (delivery was to be Wednesday last week! ) been on and off phone and emails with excuse after excuse! Yesterday told extra staff employed to get wines on the road last night so would have for Xmas, just been notified case did not make it so NO WINE for xmas….. Furious, is an understatement of how I feel…. Been an Angel for 14 years! No anymore….. Absolutely appalling service!!!!!!!
5 days late arriving, 2 bottles short and not what I ordered, been great in the past but this one is horrendous. Cancelled my account with immediate effect
Absolutely Hopeless Delivery.....Ordered some wine on the 11th Dec 2025 for delivery to a Client and all I have had since is that they have failed to deliver and/or that the wine has failed to be put on the delivery van and we are now dated 23rd Dec.
Ordered other wines through Virgin on the same day and all delivered when advised and within a couple of days.
I have never known a company like this and would never order anything else from them and would advise others not to either.
They send out standard emails with no answer to the real issue of failed delivery......absolutely ridiculous.
This once enterprising, customer-focused and spirited community is now a cynical, low value, commodity sales-dominated business that can’t fulfil its own orders. Wouldn’t be so bad if it was down to me leaving my order too late, but they cold called me - on a Friday evening, promising delivery within a week. One week later I received an email letting me know that the delivery would take another week. Their phones are switched off while they deal with their backlog of emails, and an email solicits a response that they will get back to you in 72 hours. So they’ve got my money and I don’t have the wine in the timescales promised and now I can’t get through to cancel my order, despite them being happy to cold call me on a Friday night. I feel completely ripped-off. Sad to see what they’ve become, but that’s me finally done with them. I think they were in financial difficulty last year, it feels like they’re fighting for survival, but definitely on their last legs.
I ordered a case of wine for a Christmas delivery. Was told I would receive my delivery today (20th) then told the 21st now I haven't been given a delivery date. Called their office to cancel my order but their phones are currently switched off due to answering emails and there is nowhere on their website to cancel a delivery. I have now cancelled my subscription Stay away from this company
Membership and Subscriptions mean different things!Got a holiday voucher for $100 off my purchase. However the voucher automatically signs you up to be an angel. Checked under Subscriptions to make sure I wasn't signed up. The website and app said I had no subscriptions. Still got charged $40 for an angel membership. When I called customer service to figure the problem, they were very rude and condescending.
The prices are fair and offer good value. I like the support given to small independent wine producers. It's fun to see what you get with the random surprise offering. It's also good that you can order products you are already aware of at a good discount. The website functionality is good, especially on mobile, because it is quick.
Order some wine for the first time, chose a delivery slot, and it didn't come, two days after I got in touch and they said sorry. Let me leave and got my money back 3 days after that. Not impressed.
Wish I had read reviews before ordering, this company needs to sort out its deliveries, suppose if you use Yodel to deliver you take a risk, but it has to leave your warehouse first!
Having been an angel for many years I am very disappointed to report that due to my recent order I am cancelling my subscription.
Having waited three days for the carrier to not find my address ( no previous problems) I cancelled my order to be received by OK NO PROBLEM BUT THE MONEY BUILT UP IN MY ACCOUNT WILL BE RETURNED EACH MONTH BY MY MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION
SO THERE IS NO MEANING To ‘BEING AN ‘ANGEL ANY LONGER’
This company model is doomed to failure
Been a member for many years but have this morning canceled my membership as the delivery of wine is either chaotic or non existent.
Its a real shame as they have some great wines and growers but the lack of organisation around deliveries is painful and frustrating.
a once reliable company is now a shambles
even specified paid for delivery dates are missed
