The wine is great but thier use of…

The wine is great, but their use of yodel as a delivery partner really lets them down. I have cancelled my Angel membership of 20+ years because the delivery is so bad. Never comes on the day it should, even if you pay for named delivery, and sometimes wine is missing, or bottles are broken. Sad to leave, but I will seek better service elsewhere.

Naked Wines use YODEL so delivery problems

Have to blame Naked Wines for the courier YODEL. My wines took over a week to arrive despite being told they were dispatched. Missed the deadline for a party so had to rush out and buy from local Tescos. Will not order from them again. No apology for the delay from Customer service

Naked wine out of date olive oil.

Not once, but twice, they sent out of date olive oil to me. Their response was olive oil, "like fine wines, olive oil, improves with age". No doubt, however, when it arrives out of date, one has to worry. Customer service lacking/inept.

Emily here. I hope you are well. I wanted to personally apologise for your experience. I know you are in touch with us via emails already about your concerns and this is being looked into by our team.

Our products are routinely taste and quality checked and it would not benefit us, you or the independent makers who provide our products to sell sub par or unsafe products. I am sorry if the date sticker caused worry - this truly is more of a guide than a use by date.

I know you have returned your oil for a full refund not once but twice and I am sorry for the inconvenience of that. Whilst the olive oil is not out of date it does not change the fact that the 'best before' date advertised was 2027 however the batch of olive oil that has arrived has been the ones labelled 'June 2026'. We have since updated the dates on the live listing of this olive oil to reflect the different batches.

Our customers and winemakers are at the heart of everything we do and I want to reassure you we truly do care. I hope in the future we can provide a better experience for you and if you have any further feedback I am here for you.

Do not buy all these people they are scammers

I recently sang that with naked Wines so I could save every month to purchase a Wine .I order some wine on the 23rd of March and instructed on my order not to leave the Wine on the doorstep that you have it signed for, this did not happen on two occasions and I’m still left without any Wine.
I was dealing with a young lady called Beks and later on A manager called Laura.

As of now, my Wines have not been delivered and I have not received any refund, Laura and Bec I know not answering my emails which I think is disgusting.

I have contacted my bank to try and get a trial back and if this fails, I will take them to County Court.

I would never use this company again and recommend that you look elsewhere for your Wine purposes, they are happy to send me advertising emails four or five times a month but when it comes to actually speak to somebody regarding my missing Wines they do not want to know, naked Wines you should be ashamed of yourself

Classic scummy business tactics

I created my account a couple of months ago to try it out, since then it’s automatically signed me up for Angels wine which I did not do with this it’s tried to take money from my bank, £20, I tried to stop the Angel subscription but couldn’t find a way to do that (only pause it) so I then tried to delete my account which you have to request their support to do, which then takes 30 days, since then then they have taken £35 from my bank which there seems to be no way to get back and they still haven’t deleted my account. In all it seems to be classic scummy business tactics of signing you up for something you didn’t ask for and automatically taking your money, making it purposefully difficult to cancel, and having and overly complicated account deletion process when it should take 2 clicks

i wanted to write to say how content my wife and i are. with naked wines. White for my wife, red for me . we buy cases and are very pleased with the speed of delivery. we have our likes and it works very well for us

Clever scam

Clever scam. Sign you up to a subscription without your consent when you make a one off purchase, knowing there is a very good chance any emails coming from them will go to your junk folder because of their name.
Have requested refund and removal of my details from their system. I am being ignored.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us this review, Richard. We do our best to make sure that any subscription or membership is clearly labelled, outside of the follow-up emails we send.

The case description on our introductory cases state that they'll sign you up to the Angel membership. In order to add the case to your basket, there's also a large pop-up explaining what will happen next. The case cannot be ordered unless you press "let's do this" to confirm you're happy with the membership. I am really sorry that this was missed.

If the membership isn't for you, we'll be happy to cancel your membership for you and we can also close your account. If you've not yet had a reply to your email, feel free to give us a call on 01603 281800 and we can go from there.

Order a box of wine on the 3rd of…

Order a box of wine on the 3rd of December, still yet to be delivered. Hosting a Christmas party this year which has come and gone and Christmas Day is looming with no promise of delivery. No offer of a refund just simply a £30 voucher to use for future orders.

I have been a customer of Naked Wines…

I have been a customer of Naked Wines for over 5 years, but sadly no longer. I have cancelled my subscription as the service is now extremely poor. I am waiting for a delivery scheduled for Wednesday, it is now Saturday and it still hasn't arrived. This happened last year which ruined my son's special birthday. The wine is getting more expensive, and the taste does not reflect the price. You cannot rely on Naked who are sadly not the company they once were!

Cannot speak to the company. Avoid.

Ordered a nice case 12 reds, but a basic case arrived.
When naked wines have a problem you cannot speak to them just auto bots , waste of time.
Avoid.

An absolute shambles of a company!

An absolute shambles of a company!

Ordered wine on 25th March and all I receive each day is a rubbish email telling me it’s not on the delivery van so delayed or it’s out for delivery but has been delayed so isn’t coming or is not in the delivery van again from ‘Cheesy The Delivery Guy’!

How hard can wine-off-warehouse-shelf-to-van be - competitors don’t seem to have this problem…

Don’t rely on this bunch if you need the wine for a special occasion!

Won’t be using this lot again - let’s see if the refund is any quicker!

Great company, great wine but.... (Was: Appalling)

I am updating this review but I will leave it here as I think it might still be helpful.

My issue was sorted thanks to Bex at Naked Wines who was excellent-very patient and helpful and really tried hard to sort things out for me. She should be praised, canonised, given a bonus, all of those things.

I love Nakes Wines and what they stand for-and the wine is really good! I think my review now is-great company, great wine but from time to time you get an issue and they go missing. This seems to happen at peak times. It does get sorted out eventually but just be wary that it has happened to me more than once. And it got sorted out very time. So. I'm happy again, I'll just be wary of promos like "order in time for Easter" as it might not be.

To reiterate-when you do get someone, they are lovely and really, really helpful. I can't speak highly enough of their customer service when it works. But until that's 100% of the time, I can't make this 5 stars.

Appalling.

Promised delivery didn't happen 3 times (still waiting). No response to messages to customer service. I am literally at a loss for what to do next. The small vineyards Naked represent have just lost a valuable customer.

Do not rely on a delivery, it might come, it might not. But you won't get a reply.

I have been a loyal customer for 15 year but now???

I have been a loyal customer for 15 years and always recommended to friends etc. The wines are delicious and it's wonderful to be able to support small vineyards. The service however which was delightful and personal is not any more. Some of you will remember the delight of dealing with a specific agent who you could communicate with. Not anymore and nor do Naked allow a customer to raise a complaint with someone senior and explain the reasons for it. You simply get passed to another agent who I fear do not read the correspondence on the problem and cannot address it. I am very sad about it and I have tried to stay with it but feel the time must come for me to leave.

I love your wines but...

I love your wines. But if you don't stop using Yodel as your courier immediately both myself and my partner will cease using you as our wine supplier.

Yodel are the most incompetent people I have ever had the misfortune to get a delivery from. They just can't understand basic English to read CORRECT DOOR NUMBERS!!!

This is the 3rd box I've had to go hunting down the street for!

About to lose a customer of 15 years

What an utter disappointment Naked Wines have become! I've been with them since the start 15 years ago and have always loved the wine and the service but in recent years the service has slowly got worse and my current order is an absolute disaster!

I've now been waiting two weeks for my order and despite contacting Naked Wines and the delivery company multiple times to chase it, there is no sign of it. It used to be very easy to contact Naked Wines using the live chat but now that facility has gone and they are unresponsive to emails. I had a voicemail from them last week to promise my wine the next day, but it didn't show up. I'm still waiting for a response to my follow-up email after 4 days. The Yodel tracking shows it has been out for delivery twice but they have failed to deliver it. Maybe they are trying to compete with Evri for the title of worst UK courier service! There is nothing worse as a customer to be promised delivery by a company and then it doesn't materialise. It feels like once they have my money, they don't care whether I get my order or not.

I've spent so much time over the last few weeks chasing this delivery and stressing and I don't have the time or the headspace for it. Naked Wines have always been trustworthy and customer-focussed, but this experience and other experiences in recent years have all but eroded that trust that's been built over 15 years. If they don't start focussing on the customers again, there will soon be nothing left to do but leave and buy my wine from elsewhere.

Mothers day ruined

Rinse repeat, repeat rinse..........Paid for a delivery so Mothers day pickup and delivery madness avoided.

Managed to recover the delivery charge for a product that has not shown up, happy days

By this Friday it will have been a week since expected delivery and I have had a 80 year old mother waiting patiently for a delivery for the last four days......... as the website stipulates be delivered tomorrow promise you.

No more disappointment thank you, subscription cancelled, and my £160 package not expecting too much, as apparently the couriers shipped it back to the supplier.

I expect the same issues with the credit built up, but again I will not be checking back with the company........I will have my credit card company deal with this issue

The customer service from Naked Wines…

The customer service from Naked Wines is second to none. I’m not saying that there is never anything that goes wrong with this company - their courier has recently given me the runaround - but I always think that it’s not the problem that causes the issue - it’s the way a company deals with the problem. And I have had excellent customer service from Liam - fast response - most polite - delivery issue resolved - and a little bit of compensation to boot. Oh - and the wines are great too!!!! Brilliant.

Decline of service and value

I joined years ago and have been an "Angel" for over a decade. The selection is great and it was very reasonable for the quality on offer. You could pay the lowest amount for a bottle but it would be better quality than a bottle more widely available in the UK at the same price. That said, its changed, the minimum £9.99 for a Red Wine is beyond supermarkets for the same quality. Especially when they run offers for even more discounts.

That price hike over the last 6-9 months for the discount offered for being an "Angel" is becoming less attractive. All this might be overlooked if the ordering process was easy. The last two orders I have placed have been frustrating to say the least. The website hangs, doesnt update or load and I have to keep closing the web browser and reopening for my basket to update.

This is no way to treat customers who you want to sen you money on a monthly basis to order wine!!
