Everything was easy to follow and the practical material is great for furthering my education! I am excited to implement these courses into how I train myself and clients!

Some grammatical errors. I also noted several times some mentions of things that were never discussed before or explained so I had to do my own research to get a better understanding of what was written or being said. I felt lost and confused every time I would encounter that. I also found myself many times having to do my own research because not enough explanation was provided. In my opinion, with my working hours/schedule (working two jobs) and family time, I felt really rushed to finish and a sense that I was not going to complete the course and/or even get a chance to take the exam. I thought I was not going to make the deadline for the exam. Many nights I went to bed at 3am trying to cram everything in.

The NASM CPT course was incredibly valuable and customer service was great. There was a little confusion with the test voucher and course having two separate expirations, but overall a good experience.

It was understandable and comprehensible in an efficient way of format and structure

After completing my required CEUs, including a nutrition course, the NASM Customer Portal did not clearly explain how to submit the $99 recertification fee for my NASM Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) credential.

At that time, my NASM-CPT certification was not available for renewal, but my NASM Personal Trainer Certificate (PTC) was. Because the portal did not clearly distinguish between the non-proctored Personal Trainer Certificate and the NCCA-accredited NASM-CPT certification, I reasonably believed I was renewing my NASM-CPT credential and paid the $99 fee.

Only after completing that payment did I receive an email stating that I was now eligible to renew my NASM-CPT certification. I was confused because I believed I had already renewed it. I then learned that my first payment renewed only the Personal Trainer Certificate, requiring me to pay another $99 to renew the NASM-CPT certification. My request for a refund of the first payment was denied.

The renewal portal should clearly identify which credential is being renewed before accepting payment, especially when a customer holds both credentials. A warning or confirmation screen should state whether the payment applies to the NASM Personal Trainer Certificate or the NCCA-accredited NASM-CPT certification. The current process is confusing, resulted in an unnecessary duplicate payment, and reflects poor website design and an unacceptable customer experience.

The study guides and study emails were extremely helpful. I actually learned things rather than memorizing them, which is important as a personal trainer. I enjoyed the online curriculum because I could watch videos with in depth demonstrations of exercises. Also, when I would retake the practice tests and quizzes, the questions always rotated. Through all of that, I was able to pass the test and become a knowledgeable certified personal trainer.

Support after you pay the fact that you have limited time to take the test you sign up for the test it says you’re good to go. You go to take the test and you find out your computer is not good even though you did the check and it said it was and then they want you to pay Pay to retake it when it wasn’t your fault and there’s nobody to talk to everybody says I’ll do this. Do this. Do this? What happened to the person that I was recruited by what happened to that now it’s just a call center. It’s horrible.

Absolutely the worst experience this time renewing my certification. It took me several weeks to have what ever technical glitch on your end fixed in order for me to complete my certification. Spoke to at least three representatives where I was not given correct information and one representative who just lied about what was being done. Very stressful experience while I wanted to get this finished early as a family member had an extremely serious surgery that I had to be present for without distraction. One representative told me I’d “ be fine” and not to worry.
I don’t know what has changed with this company, but calling in I waited several times over 40 minutes. Terrible experience.

The online format was easy to navigate, the curriculum was broad and all encompassing. covering many areas regarding fitness and the fitness industry.
Having online support through the process shows that NASM is invested in it’s students success.

The online learning portal was very thorough and provided an excellent progression for delivering the material. The quizzes and practice test prepared me for the proctored exam.

It’s a bit confusing on how to navigate where to start and what to finish first.

Coursework was good. Setting up testing was a big pain. Getting started with the test took about 30 minutes of set up after my initial test time. But once started it was fine. Then they took over a week to give me my certification after several phone calls to support to both NASM and the 3rd party tester. Both support lines don’t have anyone who speak good English so good luck understanding what they’re telling you. I even asked to speak with another rep. They weren’t any better. I don’t mind someone from overseas answering the support calls. But clear English should be a requirement. An accent is fine. But they were hardly understandable.

Was able to complete course on my timing and receive my certification!

My experience is always top notch with NASM. My advisor is helpful and knowledgeable and makes enrollment and completion of my classes a smooth process.
