National Academy of Sports Medicine Reviews 

My experience with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) has been nothing short of excellent! From the quality of the educational material to the flexibility of the program and the outstanding customer support, NASM has exceeded my expectations.

As an active-duty military member currently deployed overseas and working in a physical therapy clinic, I greatly appreciated the ability to study at my own pace while balancing my military responsibilities. The course material was well organized, easy to understand, and provided valuable knowledge that I could connect to my professional experience.

One aspect that stood out was NASM’s customer support. Their team was extremely helpful, understanding, and accommodating throughout my experience, especially given my circumstances while deployed.

After approximately two months of dedicated studying, I successfully passed the NCCA-accredited Certified Personal Trainer exam. Earning this certification has been a rewarding accomplishment and another important step toward my long-term goals in fitness, rehabilitation, and physical therapy.

I am grateful for the experience and the knowledge I’ve gained. I would absolutely recommend NASM to anyone looking to further their education, strengthen their professional skills, or pursue a career in health and fitness!

Learning materials are good AI customer care and no one to talk to about questions so sorta feels like once you give them the money they got what they wanted.

Overall, I found the course material well organized, and navigating the training was straightforward. The handbook lined up exactly with the course content, which made it easy to follow along. Taking the quizzes and moving through the material was smooth as well. I'm very happy with the experience overall.

Great material and information - passed my CNC first try. Wished they had a hard copy manual, though. That's the one thing I would change. Customer service, while a little slow, was great.

The NASM Wellness Coaching course was very informative and up to date with the latest science in the field.

Wide range of content available to a CPT. The renewal experience was handled well and testing methodologies are very thorough with a wide range of material covered.

I appreciate all of the new information I've learned and I have been working out most of my life and I am 80 years old. But I needed AI to show me how to approach learning the information. Also used IPTA's coaching course to fully absorb the information. Reading/listening to the NASM course alone is a bit overwhelming on its own. after reviewing all of the information over about 6-7 weeks, then taking the NASM practice exams 8 times the information finally jelled. But I now have a formal way to approach and instruct people. I've gotten a position at a large commercial gym. Thanks

Joining NASM One was a game-changer! I was already impressed with my NASM trainer certification process, but becoming a member of One took it to the next level! I appreciate the access to a diversity of CEU courses and the integration of mind-body principles into the curriculum.

WWorth doing CPT with NASM

Expectations were set accurately and reps were helpful throughout the process

I did a certification course.
1. Initial chapters goes deep into nutrition facts which is not in our scope of practice. There is repetition of this later again. I understand and value that CPT/WLS should have some knowledge of it.
2. The course material can’t be downloaded for review later as needed. So the focus became on passing the exam instead of learning.
3. Testing: It was more about memory recall than actual learning.

Everything was smooth with online learning and taking the tests. Thank you.

It was a well produced program. there is always room to grow in how we communicate concepts, I feel the test was significantly more putting the pieces together than the quizzes and than the book or even the teacher ( I studied both AND crammed other videos as well and the test was still REALLY hard.

The online format was efficient and very well thought out. On the two times when I needed technical support, my issue was addressed quickly and professionally.

The combination of a detailed book of the NASM OPT process combined with the online videos, quizzes and tests really made for excellent content and gave me all the information I need to get started as a CPT.
