Poor on all levels
Poor workmanship, safety concerns and disappointing customer service
I had my windscreen replaced by National Windscreens, after which two sensor wires were found to have been cut. This resulted in warning messages and issues affecting the wipers, indicators and automatic headlights/high beam. Despite these problems, I was initially reassured that the vehicle was safe to drive.
An independent auto electrician subsequently found that the camera had been left facing down on fabric, with grease, fibres and debris contributing to visibility-related fault codes. Further calibration was also required, something that had not been properly communicated to me at the outset.
The handling of the situation has been extremely frustrating. There were communication failures, confusion over which branch my appointment had been booked at, delays in getting the issue addressed, and additional time and inconvenience spent dealing with the aftermath. I was also provided with an inferior hire car, with associated costs and practical difficulties.
What should have been a straightforward windscreen replacement has turned into an ongoing dispute involving safety concerns, repeat appointments and considerable disruption. Although National Windscreens has since arranged further work, the matter remains unresolved, and I am still seeking an appropriate resolution and compensation for the inconvenience caused.
The real disappointment is not simply that something went wrong, but the way the resulting problems and their consequences have been handled. I would expect a company specialising in windscreens and vehicle safety systems to demonstrate better workmanship, clearer communication and greater accountability.

I had a side window smashed on my peugot boxer. I thought autoglass werr bad with their quote of £850, adjusted to £665 with their own special discount code(what a joke) BUT NATIONAL WINDSCREENS QUOTED ME A WHOPPING £1523.58!! OUTRAGEOUS. The job actually cost me £322 using a local fitter. DO NOT.USE NATIONAL WINDSCREENS EXETER UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY 5 TIMES THE PRICE. DISGUSTING!!!!!!
Following your response I can tell you what went wrong, your so greedy and try to rip people off. No doubt there are some vulnerable people out there who will pay you the exfortionate price. You were the first company I contacted and the last company to reply with the most expensive quote by far. I will be going to the paper with this also because it needs highlighting so people can see what your company does and deliberately keeping me waiting so you think im desperate and will pay your rediculous amount. Do you do tarmacing as well???? Would not suprise me if you did!
