Had the pleasure of having Seanne from Nellie Supports coming to conduct a mental capacity assessment of me as I am unfortunately disabled due to severe stroke I had in 2022 and was undergoing legal proceeding where my mental capacity was at risk of being challenged. Mental capacity assessment was required urgently for the sale and purchase of my father in laws home. He has dementia and as his power of attorney I began enquiries by email to Nellie Support on the Wednesday. Assessment was completed on the Friday via video call, this is really easy to do (if you can email them you can do this). No zoom or apps required, just a smart phone, laptop etc I used an iPad.
I received a full written report which was emailed to me the same day. Completed within 48 hours.

We came across Nellie Support via Google, as we needed advice on the execution of a lasting power of attorney (LPA). Our first interaction was with Ben who connected us with a solicitor Hannah Turner of Gateley Legal. Ben also appointed Mandy Davies of Nellie Support. Hannah arranged a visit to access and advise all legal matters regarding LPA and to speak directly with the donor.

Mandy Davies handled the LPA Assessment and executed the whole process to completion with total professionalism. Our next steps were to take out a care package with Nellie Support, with Mandy handling all that is required within the scope of the package.

After weeks of prevarication & delay by NHS providers, I instructed Nellie Supports on 01 February with an up-front, transparent, fixed fee payment for a COP3 Mental Health Assessment. Prompt & professional throughout. Within 48 hours a home visit appointment was made for 12 days hence. The assessor was incredibly patient with her confused, suspicious & resistant subject, cajoling & reassuring throughout. The completed COP3 report was received 48 hours later on 18 February.
