It's a great idea, and they do a great job giving you everything you need. But it turns out, at least in my state (Michigan) changing your name isn't really all that hard. I basically spent $99 for no reason. Seeing their ads lead me to believe that changing my name was going to be so overwhelming and complicated so buying this made sense, but it turns out I really didn't need to. I found the process of doing it myself pretty easy.
It's not a bad purchase, but just consider for yourself if it's something you'll really need.

My package was sent back to the sender because of my address being wrong and when I reached out to customer services, Irene got to it so quickly. I don’t even think it was an hour before Irene replied.

I purchased a newly named box and then decided I did not need it so I reached out for a refund. The box hadn’t even been completed so it wasn’t a big deal. They don’t have a number for you to just call someone, only email. After I gave them a reason as to why I wanted a refund, they told me I would receive one but they gave it to the wrong card. How does that happen? My order number was correct, I went back and checked on my Apple Pay and they refunded to a card number that doesn’t belong to me. I then tried to login to the website so I could look into it more and then it said my account didn’t exist. That’s so sketchy!! It’s like they deleted my account after returning to a random card. I don’t recommend them and it’s easy to change your name on your own.

I had a great experience with customer support—Marielle was incredibly prompt and responsive. Her communication was clear, thorough, and she went the extra mile by providing additional details specific to my situation and location to make sure I was on the right track. The wrong address was accidentally entered (by me) when checking out and I immediately emailed customer support to see if they could help before the box shipped to my old address. Marielle responded within minutes with step-by-step instructions and assured me the issue would be fixed before shipment. Was impressed by the customer service and quick response I received from an actual human and not an automated response or bot so common these days. Overall the stress of changing my name after getting married has been significantly reduced!

Everything overall has been a smooth process, Marielle answered all my questions in a timely manner and with such a positive attitude which I appreciate! I highly recommend this company + the customer service 😊 not that I will need to use again but will be the perfect gift for future brides!

Originally I ordered the NewlyNamed Kit for my friend who is getting married, but quickly realized that I needed to switch things over to a gift card so that my friend could purchase it herself and make an account with all of her info.
The fix was super quick and easy with Irene’s help, who was very responsive and kind!

I inadvertently ordered a box for myself versus a box for my daughter who will be getting married in December. I quickly sent an email to customer service asking how to correct my mistake. As it was after 1:00 am eastern, I was not expecting a reply to my request. However, Irene saw my request and had sent a solution to me within 30 minutes of my initial email. With the help from Irene, I was easily able to make the correction and finish the order for my daughter. It’s not often that people go out of their way to offer assistance, so I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Irene for going above and beyond for me earlier this week! Well done!! :-)

Changing your name is a ton of work but NewlyNamed made updating all my documents and accounts so simple. The kit walks you through everything so you won’t miss a step or screw something up. Highly recommend!
