I instructed this firm for an urgent family court matter involving my son and paid over £2,200 in fees. After paying, I was passed to their Head of Family Law, Rebecca, who was completely out of her depth. She actually emailed me to admit she "did not know how she could assist me" with my family law case, despite the firm having already drained my funds for what they called "preparation."
​With a strict family court deadline looming, I was left completely stranded without the strategic legal backing I paid for. I had to draft my own position statement and source an external barrister myself just to protect my case.
​I raised a formal complaint regarding this shocking lack of competence in their family department. To the firm's credit, a senior partner stepped in immediately and offered a £1,500 refund to close the file so I could take my case elsewhere.
​While I am glad they refunded the bulk of my money without a prolonged fight, the stress of being abandoned by a "Family Law specialist" right before a crucial court hearing was completely unacceptable. If you have a time-sensitive family law or child matter, look elsewhere.

Let's be clear: a firm does not immediately refund £1,500 of a £2,200 fee to "close the file" if they actually did the work competently. They can try to politely minimise my experience in their response, but the written email from their Head of Family Law admitting she didn't know how to help me—coupled with the swift refund—speaks for itself. I stand by every word. They left me stranded before a crucial deadline.

The experience was mostly positive however there were times when I felt like the conveyancer for the sale was acting for my purchaser rather than me, there was a lack of support and I also felt pressured into making decisions.

Used Nicholls Solicitors probate service for my mother's estate. The solicitor, Matt Nicholls, was very professional and attentive and responded very promptly to telephone calls and emails. He even met me at a weekend to sign the paperwork so that the application could be submitted before he went on holiday. As a result the whole process went very smoothly and probate was obtained in just a few weeks.

I used Nicholls to buy a flat. The solicitor, Kristel, was very efficient and professional. She replied to all my queries quickly and clearly, and made sure the process completed in time.

I have been using Nichols for many years and have always found them to be top class. They just take care of everything from start to finish - nothing is too much trouble. Our most recent dealings were looked after by Adnan and Isabell - completely stress free and Isabell was always available if we had any queries ,always in good humour and could not have been any more helpful. Worst company ever I fix there boiler a couple of months ago and they still haven't paid. After chasing them they keep coming up with excuses.

The person I dealt with was syed Rashid masood who met me at the property and now doesn't even attend his phone and apparently he is abroad. I have rang you on numerous occasions and you always have an excuse like now refusing to accept your responsibility and saying that u never dealt with me.
