Highly professional

At the age of 67, for the first time ever, I found myself in the situation of needing a criminal defence lawyer due to an allegation made by a social worker regarding my mum's care fees. I didn't know where to start apart from my police interview was to be in Grantham. So Google it was.
Bird&Co came up first in the search engines and had good reviews. I contacted Damian Sabino based on his previous reviews and also his photo - the pin stripe suit, folded arms, short cropped hair and beard gave the impression of someone who would be robust. Appearances do indeed count.
Damian responded to my email almost at once and I engaged his services.
I live in Suffolk but was required to attend for a voluntary interview in Grantham. This alone was placing me under considerable stress so the first thing Damian did was to ensure the interview would be held local to me.
I had never been in a police station so had no idea what to expect and Damian quickly assessed the situation determining that I was psychologically unfit to be interviewed. In other words I should likely have been a jabbering idiot in response to any formal questioning.
Damian has an incredibly astute legal brain, not only does he know the law but he has a comprehensive understanding of police procedure and process.
He wrote a detailed and concise statement on my behalf which was submitted and I didn't have to go through with the interview and wasn't arrested.
Damian made me feel safe in what was potentially, for me, a threatening environment. He has that rare skill of being professional but approachable and warm.
Many years ago, my former boss was asked to write a reference for me. He said that 'XXXX was the most user-friendly academic he had ever had the opportunity of working with.' Damian, I pass the same compliment to you - you are indeed a 'user-friendly lawyer'.

I used Birds and Co solicitors in the conveyancing of a jointly inherited property whereby i wanted to transfer my share over to my sister.
I had to use a different solicitors from her to do this, and thank goodness I did! The service from the neighbouring solicitors was absolutely appalling and it has taken way longer than anyone would expect to complete on this sort of transaction.
However, due to Hannahs due diligence, professionalism and tenacity, she continued to try and make contact with the other parties solicitors whilst keeping me informed of everything along the way. I cannot thank her enough as we finally completed last week from what seemed like an eternity for such a simple case.
