This is a great company!
I discovered them after Amazon pretty much lied about dispatching an order and then saying it was out of stock.
Norman Records had it and sent it promptly and perfectly packaged. I’ve since used them again and had the same excellent service. Fantastic communication, quick delivery, great buying experience!

I've been buying from Norman Records for a few years on and off now, and never experienced any issues or had to interact with customer service in any way, because the service has been quick, easy and up to standard.

Then, last Christmas, I ordered a copy of On the Beach by Neil Young when a reprint became available. Unfortunately, due to the popularity of it, Norman Records were unable to get as many copies as they had ordered from the distributor. The website did say it was on order when I bought it, so all good, I was happy to wait.

After a couple of months, Norman Records customer service reached out to me to say that unfortunately they would have to cancel the order and refund me as there would be no more copies coming. I told them not to worry about a refund, I'd find a replacement, as this record was supposed to be a Christmas gift so I still owed one!

Then life got in the way and I completely forgot about sorting this order out, until a few days ago when I was thinking of Christmas this year. I emailed James at customer service this morning, thinking that since I hadn't spoken to them in about 8 months I might have blown it. To my surprise, within 5 minutes he'd replied to me with a voucher code so I could easily get my replacement.

Honestly, considering how annoying this process could have been elsewhere, it was less than painless to deal with James and the customer service team. Transparent, friendly and very effective. They absolutely rock. Almost feel glad my original record didn't come, cos now we've got two awesome discs on the way, and I've also got the warm fuzzy feeling of having been well looked after.

Buy from them, you won't regret it.

Tom from customer support was fantastic. I had not received the vinyl I had requested ànd he quickly checked ànd said that one would be sent out in the coming days. This all happened on 22/10/2025 and on 22/10/2025, Tom came back to me to say à new vinyl had been sent out. Quick and efficient support, thank you Tom!

pre ordered two albums.

arrived on Friday, one of the pre-orders was incorrect and wasn't the album I requested.

Cant fault the speedy response, confirming that an error had been made. and I respect the accountability from that perspective.

But sadly the only resolution on offer was, there is no stock now , so send it back, and if the person who got my order contacts them , then I can get the option to have it.

in the mean time I need to send the other one back and get a refund.

This was to complete my collection which will now remain incomplete.

However!! like a silver lining they managed to source a copy and have arranged to post it for me!

Brilliant record store, great selection and always responsive to emails about orders. Very respectful when sending, with option to take records out of sleeve, to make sure they arrive undamaged. Top class service and dedication to music! Thank you!

Terrible service, pre ordered an item, tracking didn’t update so I sent an email asking when it had been dispatched, was told the Tuesday (new releases come out on a Friday) I then got an email from Royal Mail saying my parcel had ended up at Poole depot which is hundreds of miles from where I live (I live around 30 minutes from Leeds) my parcel should’ve gone to the Sheffield sorting office which didn’t happen, once I found this out I then emailed Norman’s Records again to ask what was going on and that I now would receive my pre order on the actual release date despite them posting it to me on the Tuesday. They then proceeded to use the feeble excuse of hiding behind Royal Mail (out of our hands etc etc) no solution was offered nor any help on how I was going to get my order on release day which was the whole point of preordering it in the first place, i could’ve gone to a record shop on the Friday and bought it over the counter, will never use them ever again, a place to be avoided that’s for sure! Update, I’ve just seen the tracking (it’s now Saturday) and guess what? It’s still nowhere near where I live and i won’t be getting it today either, will be lucky if it arrives at all

Highly recommend Norman Records. An album was ordered for a present and it was delivered on time. Packaged well too and communication was excellent. Just make sure the album you are buying is in their own stock and not from the supplier as this may delay your delivery.

Norman records are simply brilliant. Quick, easy and even when you make a mistake as I did the customer service is friendly, helpful and accommodating. Just getting back into records again after 30 years + and can’t recommend highly enough. I will be using them again.

I came aware of the Normanverse (NR) when I was searching for info on Avril Lenz. When I went in, I never wanted to leave. Even before I signed up (for real, for real!) I emailed Norman Records about what delivery service is used: they got back to me the next day.

Meanwhile back in the Normanverse I was offered a discount (now who does that?) for a slightly frayed LP sleeve (which happens) as it was their last copy of the essential 'Trust' by Low. They were able to me a new copy within a few days. NR took time to make sure the LP's was addressed properly where it took me just under a week to little old Aotearoa/NZ; in solid packaging that withstood the rigors of airmail.

Recently purchased LP on pre order and delay due to distributer. Norman Records have been superb keeping me up to date and always responding promptly following enquiries with honest and realistic feedback. Product now arrived well packaged and cared for. Hadn’t used them before but really pleased with customer care, also like website and requested marketing. Thanks James and Norman Records.

The record company wasn't able to fulfill the order I placed and paid through Norman Records (no fault of Norman Records) but a reissue was going to be available at a later date.
Sent an email to them cancel this order and literally within 30 seconds the order was fully refunded. Faultless service. Would happily deal with them again

I've been using Norman's for a few years now and have probably seen way too much money with them.

The range vinyl on offer is mad and the prices are alway really good. On top of that when I have had to contact customer service they have always replied really quickly, thanks James, and effectively unlike so many other online services and business.
