I never had any problems with norton , but to renew it its always so tricky each time and why should ppls have to give out theire bank card number if we have the new key to sert in to renew it.i dont trust it.

I called a Norton local number help line here in England. When bill from my sim card contract with 'ee' arrived, extra charge was 136.80 pounds sterling. This for a usa call lasted 39 minutes,11 sec.

Norton transferred my call to usa without my permission and without informing me. They knew I would be charged for international call.

My sim provider, ee, as a gesture of good will, refunded me 68.40, leaving me with a bill to pay for 68.40 pounds sterling.

Impossible to get this back from Norton. I will insist on email only, in dealing with Norton, if I have to deal with them.

The call also switched my mechanical keyboard to 'American' keyboard, so I have lost my English keyboard and ended up with a nuisance keyboard.

Norton has brought me nothing but a huge amount of grief.

Hi Pilotiers, I have Norton I had Bullguard but I was told they have been bought out by Norton now I find this is a lie.
Norton is the worst antivirus software in the world every day it tells me I need to buy something more to be totally safe does that mean ordinary Norton is useless?
If you have Norton cancel the Auto repayment NOW.

3 min wait time 1.50 hours later…
I purchased 2 years cover last week, just had a message to say my cover has just ran out. Then tried to log in and error message displayed. Wt??? So I rang the helpline, said there’s a 3 minute wait time. 2 hours later, I’m still waiting to speak to someone. And I’m still on hold as I’m writing this. Liars are my biggest trigger. Absolutely diabolical. How companies get away with this utter trash to paying customers, I’ll never know.
Had to put the phone down on the end, never got through, it was 2 hours & 50 minutes of my life I wasted, that I’ll never get back from this absolute shower of s##t company. NEVER EVER USE THEM

Harassing pain of a company. Daily emails telling me to renew or im at risk. Iv not subscribed to them. Followed the stop emails instructions yet they keep emailing. This sort of harassment daily is bordering on bullying.

Utter rubbish! It practically blocks websites or anything else. It 'sanatizes' documents though they are from a bonafide source, it delates all text!! Norton is like being in China were you are not allowed to visit certain websites. Total rubbish. DO NOT BUY!

I paid for this on Google play store tried to add it to my pc they wouldn't let me even though I had paid for it so I uninstalled it from my account tried to get my money back but they won't give it back I didn't use it as they wouldn't let me saying coz I had paid for it on Google play store I would have to ask them for my money back which I did and they wouldn't give me it back it's just a big scam anyway am seeing a solicitor about it I no it's not much money but that's not the point the point is they are scamming people and getting away with it all the time but not this time as I've got a few public things for them

I have used Norton for many years and have been aware that they hugely hike the prices for their renewal service as opposed to buying from another trusted source like Amazon. I have always received a 30 day count down to my service expiring which gives me time to sort this so never turned off auto-renewal. This year however they took £94 off me with no warning 35 days before my subscription ends - no email except one which stated this that honestly looked like a phising campaign except I read it and noticed my details were far to accurate. I have now used the online service to have this refunded and can see that on Amazon I can purchase a 15 month subscription for £22.04 for the same service. I am appalled that Norton would stoop to taking payments to then make us request refunds - it is very close to being fraudulent and I nearly reported this to my bank before realising it was actually legitimate. I know Norton will not care but like many others felt the need to do something. The decision to do this should really not have been made and I'm sure will really mess up many people's already tight budgets in these already difficult times.

My overall experience is underwhelming, my main issue is that for approx 30% of the time I cannot access password manager when my PC boots up. Luckily I have Safeincloud to fall back on which only cost me £6 for permanent access. When I tried to get support I could not get any help. I have removed the auto renewal and hope I wont hit problems in 1 year when cancelling and removing software. Should have just relied on windows defender

Been a customer for many years and their aggressive auto renewal methods mean I will never use them again.
My card on file had expired and I kept getting messages saying to update details. They then took the money off a card I have never given them the details of. My bank will be contacted to explain how this has happened.
Turned off auto renewal? I did and they send a free upgrade during the year link - which they do not tell you reverses your decision to turn off auto renewal.

The company are "Thieves",Stole £104.00 from my Card account,which amounted to No service they offered!!!..Tried speaking with them and they didnt want to know!!!.."AWFUL"..."THIEVES"...Nothing better than a company of "CRIMINALS".....

Worse than useless. I bought their Norton 360 Premium and it broke my OUTLOOK. And I don't know what else. Support was also worse than useless too. Tried to con me saying the reason my OUTLOOK crashed, and I was unable to view contacts, folders, send emails etc was not their fault. They disabled protection and presented that as proof it wasn't Norton fault. Demanded refund as as soon as I got off the phone I uninstalled their crap and guess what? OUTLOOK running perfectly again. Shiesters! had trouble with them 15 years back as well. Swore i'd never use them again but thought they may have changed in 15+. Nope, still the same. AVOID

Don't use this company. I have been a customer of theirs for over 10 years just found out I have been charged £74 for a £39 pound service. Their customer service don't want to know at all, Being loyal to this company is a waste of time only thing I could do was cancel

I've no idea what their anti virus is like and I won't be using it. I bought a package from Amazon but Norton wants my credit card details before I can register and use it. Why should I give them my details for an item that's already been paid for?

This is crap and Trading Standards needs to look at it.

Service is rubbish. It won't load unless you agree to pay again. Go on the help screen and it says find local numbers....there are none and you get put into this automatic round the house again....wasted hours and I pay for it too. what a rip off. Going this route is the only way to contact them I think. we'll see.

Last year, June 27, 2020, I bought a ONE YEAR subscription from Norton AV for $29.99 and I was forced to agree for an automatic renewal that I could cancel any time, according to them.

My subscription was supposed to be good until JUNE 28, 2021

BUT MORE THAN ONE MONTH BEFORE the expiration date, on May 24, Norton billed $124.99 (!!!) for the renewal instead of $29.99.

I immediately sent an Email to NORTON asking them to CANCEL my renewal.
NO answer.
So I sent a second message.
NO answer
So I sent a THIRD message last week.
NO answer.
So I sent a FOURTH message today, June 21, 2021, and told them that I would complain to the BBB, which I did.

Can Norton force me to renew a subscription that I do NOT want?
Again, it renews next week, June 28, but I do NOT want to renew.

I disputed the charge from my American Express card three weeks ago but I'm still waiting.

This is a disgrace. This kind of attitude kills the trust in purchases on line and also kills the trust in credit cards.

I have signed up two weeks later still trying to get my product key - you cant get through on the phone - the online chat is a joke - by the tim eyou get through to an agent and explained the issue - at least 30 mins - the ytell you to wait 48 hours - the dont respond to emails - so cant get a refund save your self the grief and go elswhere

I made the mistake of having Norton antivirus installed on my computer, it expired and i kept receiving emails telling me. I uninstalled it and months after i was still getting 6 emails per day. i contacted them on web chat and was told i had to phone to stop the nuisance emails as they don't do email (bazaar) for an IT company. After asking fo complaints they agreed to stop sending however i am still getting their junk mail. avoid at all costs, Norton seem to be the main cause of the things they are supposed to stop.
