As a landlord I have found Oakfield Estate Agents in Hastings an excellent parter in managing my property over the past few years. From my perspective I would recommend without reservation. I have found Oakfield swift to bring to my attention issues from my tenants so that I can get them addressed. (I am fortunate in having long-term tenants.) This is all made possible because I have Luke Seymour as a trusted, responsive and reliable contact. It is rare, for example, that I do not hear back from him within 24 hours of leaving a message during normal working hours. The clerical and tax side of Oakfield's operations (Charlotte Diamond, Zoe and Lucy White, and Skye Standivan) have always managed my affairs accurately and in a timely manner. (Thank you all.) There is no reason to change my current property management arrangements.

Luke has facilitated each process effectively. He provides thorough communication and demonstrates professional conduct and attention to detail. We plan to continue utilising Luke's skills for our rental properties. Thank you, Luke.

Karen came to see us yesterday and was so very positive about being able to find us a buyer for our property. She then came today to take photographs and assures us a brochure for our property will be available from tomorrow. So very impressed that from initial visit to property on the market in 48hours!

Oakfields are a terrible letting agent for property owners and renters.

They have left our house in disrepair for months claiming "they're were waiting for the damage to dry" and then had 2 contractors show up to inspect the house without any warning. And this is not the first time we've had work men show up with no prior warning. In fact, no contact is generally the way Oakfields do business.

And previously once the work had been completed, it was then never inspected and usually done poorly.

They had the cheek to charge £50 for a tennacy update but the only thing I can see that I paid for was incompetence. As it took them a month to update the tennacy and then once again they didn't bother to tell me the update was completed

AVOID - we booked a viewing for Monday they cancelled we then arranged to view on wednesday 2/5/25 at 2pm because they are using iamsold auction website when I phone Oakfield the following morning they say an offer has been accepted property is no longer available. what a waste of time and effort.

Have seen your reply nearly 2 months after my post. You do not understand we were able to view the property on Wednesday afternoon 2pm and when I phoned your Eastbourne office the following morning we were told it was sold.

We recently bought through Oakfield Bexhill. They were the worst estate agent I have ever dealt with. They were unprofessional and treated us like we were an inconvenience. Avoid!

Terrible service, my property manager will NEVER answer my questions, she just gives me unrelated responses that do have nothing to do with my questions.

Oakfield were forced on me when they took clients previously managed by Andrews. Their base rates are cheap but they charge extra for everything. They also failed to collect the rent for almost a year and expected me to pay for this privilege. They put almost no effort into chasing the tenant and didn’t provide the information I needed to chase them myself. Why would they if they get paid either way?

They failed to notice that the tenant was living with a child and then didn’t realise that she had moved out without giving up the tenancy for over a year. When I finally gained access to the property is was an absolute mess.

If you are a landlord, avoid them as they as unethical, rip you off and provide a terrible service.

We have been looking for our new forever home, and to be honest, at the beginning, I thought that it would be easy, but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
So many estate agents, and none could help.
Then we found Tyrone at Oakfield Estate Agents, and our life changed completely.
He understood what we liked and helped us all the way through to securing our home.
He recommended Ollie to us as a broker, and wow, he did such an amazing job.

We really regret putting our house on the market with this estate agent. They were lack lustre on all fronts with regards to marketing. There was no continuity in who did the viewings as promised, and we were even asked to do one viewing ourselves as noone available on a Saturday. They mishandled an offer on our property from a time waster - twice! Use another agent if you are selling in Lewes would be my advice.

Stephanie's warm, professional welcome was the reason we chose Rowland Gorringe originally, Oakfield's service has been professional, supporting the completion of our sale. From my experience, many of the decisions made seem to negatively affect flat owners, and the staff has generally been unhelpful. The high turnover rate is particularly frustrating—just when you finally manage to resolve something with someone, they’ve left the company by the next week.

This is the best agency I met while I was looking for a house for rent. A good team and they are very kind and efficient. Specially I must mention Izzy Cunningham she was very supportive and arranged two viewings same day because of my request. The best thing is she listen to us, understand our situation and do best for our requests. Really I am glad to deal with them.

Thanks alot for the team at Oakfield they were very professional and respectful, special Thank you to Tia who walked me through the whole process from beginning to end and Kim who also help in Tia's absense. Iam more than greatful to the team.
