Bed frame rusty, very damp packaging, obviously stored in a wet area, rust marked my carpet, returned item, extremely poor customer service, no refund of postal. Initially I received a small good will amount, but they took that back! Unbelievable.

This experience was incredibly disappointing.

We ordered our bed originally in May as a custom fabric order. When the bed arrived about a month later, the headboard was stained (looked like green highlighter marks) as well as the pleating was uneven. We requested a new headboard to be delivered. This was delivered when we returned from holiday (which we had requested and the company honoured). The new headboard was now correct.

When assembling our bed as we now had all parts (the instructions are okay - not super clear and we had to take it down and put tot back up again as we had done something wrong and had to guess from the instructions), we opened up the bed slats to find them mouldy! I rang the customer service line as well as email to get replacement slats. The person on the other end of the phone said they would be delivered within 48hrs via Royal Mail and be delivered on Wednesday. This was not the case and was sent via their courier a week after discovering the mouldy slats and would be delivered Friday.

We received new slats via courier. It was only after trying to put them on the bed that they were incorrectly sized and we had slats for a double bed, instead of a king. These slats were also mouldy.

I rang again as I was increasingly frustrated. I had taken a days annual leave to receive this order as we had guests due to stay that night on that Friday. I was told over the phone the earliest they could arrive was Wednesday which was too late. I sent an email stating my frustrations which has still not been responded to, requesting a partial refund.

My partner got on the phone with Corby distribution centre for the company and drove a 4hour round trip in the evening to pick up the correctly sized slats from a bush they left the box for him to collect. These slats were, thankfully, not mouldy. Disappointed he had to do the job for them to pick up slats for a bed that should have been delivered over a month before in proper condition.

We have since had to take all the mouldy slats to the tip as the company did not want to have them returned.

The bed itself is nice, however the absolute stress and inconsistent messaging (and sometimes lack of) is ridiculous for a company that states they are specialists for 30 years where they cannot get the basics right. I will not be using again and will be advising anyone to not use them as this has been the worst furniture purchasing experience I’ve ever had.

Would give them 6 stars if I could .. what a great company! Customer service is spot on Jamyang and Ayush and been great ! the bed is so well made came this morning 7.35 only took about an hour to put it up on my own .. so easy and very sturdy.. would highly recommend his company and beds perfect if you don’t want a wood and and want a metal one like the Evelyn very pet friendly.. everything was really well packed as well .. great company

I have now experienced two failed delivery attempts because my order has reportedly been misplaced in the BJS warehouse. Despite this, I have received no communication or update today.

My payment was taken promptly, yet I have received poor customer service and still do not have the goods I paid for. This experience has been extremely disappointing.

Unless this matter is resolved and I receive a clear update, I will continue to share my experience through reviews so that other customers are aware of the level of service I have received.

Mattress is made to order and not just lain around in the warehouse. Easy to choose what fits us best, Really like the cotton ticking finish to the Mattress. Good price and a 10yr guarantee.Great friendly helpful delivery.

Delivery company is a joke and when you're purchasing items at this kind of price point I expect better. I would definitely not purchase from here again

The build quality is excellent. Delivery was easy and arrived well packaged. We had 2 bolts missing from the drawers, but a quick email and this was resolved very quickly. Overall, a great experience.

I chose a "Juliet" iron bed. My friend, an experienced DIY chap, said it was very easy to put together and of excellent quality compared to many others he had worked with. It also looks good too! And you could choose different heights to have, so now my guests have plenty of room underneath for their suitcases/dogs! The mattress was also very stylish and VERY comfortable. I chose a firm, one up from the basic mattress, and it certainly was worth it! I would definitely recommend this company and buy from them again.

I absolutely love my new bed, it’s a real statement piece in my bedroom. It’s just stunning and it arrived so quickly and it was easy to put together. The only issue I have is that one of the balls on the end of the bed has seemed to be patchy in places but other all it’s a stunning bed

I purchased a bed from The Original Bed Company and it was delivered within the stated time-scale and in good condition. I found the bed to be of excellent quality and easy to assemble. Unfortunately I had made an error in making the order but the company resolved it quickly with no fuss or inconvenience to myself, by making a special order on my behalf. The company’s customer service is excellent and, if I need a bed in the future, I shall purchase from this company. The delivery service was also excellent.

Had a good experience with this purchase. Great communication and a very good quality bed frame. I would definitely recommend this company to one and all.

Excellent quality bed frame very pleased with it

We would have given five stars but the option we chose took the full delivery period of 10 weeks. We had already been let down by one supplier who delivered a bed that was much wider than stated. The bed from The Original Bed Company was slightly more expensive but the quality and appearance are way superior. It is a beautiful bed. It is solid, but looks stunning. We absolutely love it. It was easy to assemble. My son helped me and we put it together without any trouble.

Great customer service. Lovely bed with mattress and polite, efficient delivery service with assembly. Thank you.

Fabulous bedstead, sturdy, great design, true old fashioned comfort. Delivery takes a few weeks,but it's worth the wait . Easy to assemble. Excellent company to deal with.

Very easy ordering system and lovely range of beds. Our bed and mattress are amazingly comfortable, and suit our room beautifully.

Would have been nicer if a little received a follow up email whilst waiting for bed to arrive as felt a little ‘lost in the wilderness’ having spent c£1000 and not knowing where we were at!

Also, building instructions are a little rubbish! Might be good (for the iron bedstead) to insert a part about adding the drawers before the central brace part as I had to partly dismantle it to get that part done and the photos are not very clear at all!

Overall though very happy with the product
