My client informed me that they had bought a property at auction but did not have the funds lined up. Unusually the completion as 20 calendar days not business days. By the time we started we had 15 calendar days left. I thought almost impossible.

After a chance meeting with Stephen Christmas for the first time in a couple of years, the team at Octopus Real Estate have just successfully completed an £8m facility on one of the most complex deals I have ever had to deal with.

James Nunn very quickly got to grips with the clients requirement to secure a facility to purchase under a Share Purchase Agreement a large site which included outline planning for 100 C2 assisted living units with associated hotel and country club. Octopus Real Estate understood that the client had to work to a firm deadline, as a previous lender he was working with had withdrawn due to the complex nature of the scheme, allowing us to step in. James and his team Clare Grimes, Suparn Sapatnekar Precious O. were outstanding on this and a pleasure to deal with.

The legal team Howard Kennedy LLP with the excellent Steve Clinning working with Katie Oldham-Brown, ensured matters progressed as expected despite the vendors legal team causing a number of timely delays.

We now have an extremely happy client, who feels things happen for a reason. He ended up with a well structured deal, which improved on what he was originally quoted and a lender who he wants to work with again in the future.

These guys are here for only ONE reason: to waste your time!!! Dan Thorne and Sam Wisker at the residential Credit department are specialized to drive you as crazy as humanly possible, the cherry on the pie is the Solicitor they are using (Miran Sharif @ Richards Solicitors, see separate review about them), who belongs to the rubbish collection team rather then wasting his client's time at his office.
they would promise you a time frame for their releases, but a word is NEVER a word!! a big group of liars and arrogance !! I can provide full details to anyone!! DO NOT TOUCH THEM, EVEN IF YOU ARE DESPERATE FOR A LOAN!!
