Disappointed customer
I joined Octopus Pro earlier this year, as it appeared to have features to suit my business needs.
As a small business, cost was a concern, but I was promised adequate onboarding training and support.
Initially, I received help from a friendly and helpful support person. Once agreeing to sign on, I was handed over to another support member (Adam).
He lacked professionalism and knowledge. When I asked to work with the original support person again, I was told they didn't exist and Adam was the only one on the team. This felt strange and of course, created trust issues.
Unhappy with the support, I cancelled my trial on time but was still charged. Octopus acknowledged their mistake and offered a refund plus a 'premium onboarding service,' but the support offered by Adam remained unclear and disappointing.
There were also billing errors, including a $5000 lump fee, causing financial strain on paying my employees.
I picked up on this mistake and was eventually refunded, however, the ongoing charges were more expensive than the plan I agreed to.
I reached out to the CEO for help but received no response.
After persisting, (despite initially being told that Adam was the only member available), I was later assigned a new team member and offered more services to keep me on, which I declined, asking for a refund instead, which was denied.
Overall, while Octopus Pro ‘may’ offer flexibility in scheduling and payments, its customer support lacks compassion, clarity, and integrity, significantly affecting my small business's growth.
My most recent issue is a charge for this month of $300 AUD, despite cancelling last month. Awaiting a response and not feeling very positive about the whole experience.
Strongly recommend using a different platform.
