I had high expectations for the Oddball, as the idea is actually really cool – a ball that creates music when you bounce or move it. Unfortunately, the execution is extremely disappointing.
The biggest issue is the audio delay. When you bounce the ball, the sound is clearly delayed instead of being in sync with the movement. This completely ruins the experience. It’s practically impossible to create any kind of loop or rhythm, because the timing is always off.
This product is marketed as something you can use to make beats, but with this level of latency, it simply doesn’t work as intended. Music creation requires precision, and this has none.
It might be fun as a gimmick for a few minutes, but if you actually expect to use it for rhythm or beat-making, don’t bother.
Very frustrating and not worth the money

I’d rate it lower if I could. Faulty product. Slow customer service. Told to return to Italy though bought from uk company. Stuck in customs no refund. Chargeback to come.
It was eventually resolved after I raised it here, but the process took 3.5 months and was quite frustrating.

Lovable product
It really shows when a young startup works hard to craft a lovable product! What I'd call ODD-ball is thinking outside the box. There's much potential in what the ODD-ball team is doing and can do.

Dodgy experience with customer experience. Potential company red flag.
Item took weeks to arrive. Refused delivery of the parcel as I was getting a bad vibe from customer service and didn't want to be loopholed out of my return. Had to chase on multiple occasions for my money back.
At one point they told me they'd be receiving the package in 10 days time and would inspect the item and then refund me. I sent a screenshot of them recieving the item a week previously. As I had refused delivery I knew there would be no issue on my end.
Glad I trusted my instincts with this one.

I gave it to my brother-in-law who loves gadgets and making music, and he turned into an ecstatic little boy playing with his cool new toy.
Awful customer service and awful…
Awful customer service and awful device. App glitches. Latency issue on the ball. Add more than 2 sounds or change speed it breaks. Had to chase up my own order number as they couldn't find it then they wouldn't refund. Avoid.

This ball is embarrassing
This ball is really bad. The app constantly crashes or stops working, the sound library is very limited and the latency when recording somthing in is horrendous. If you try and make a loop longer than 4 bars the metronome freezes and glitches making recording drums or high hat sounds next to impossibe. As well as all this the companys website dosnt have a phone number and reaching out to the automated complaints and services department was joke. It tooks weeks of emails back and forth days of waiting for a response just to see that a new case had been opend and I would have to start the whole thing over again. I wanted to return the item but as it was outside the companys very short 2 weeks returns period I did not receive a refund and now own this little over priced novelty toy and would recommend that you do not buy one. Also for this price someone can pick up a nice little synth like the pharo mini or the JT micro. Now thats a better way of spending 70 pounds.

Terrible service - Avoid this company
I ordered an Odd Ball as a Christmas gift. A week before Christmas, they told me it wouldn’t arrive on time, so I canceled. Despite that, they shipped it anyway. I contacted them and accepted their offer of a 50% refund if I kept the product. Weeks later, I still haven’t received the refund.
The product itself is disappointing—my daughter lost interest after 10 minutes. Combine that with zero follow-up and poor communication, and this company is simply unreliable. Avoid at all costs.
Update: After posting this review on Trustpilot, the company finally responded and issued the agreed 50% refund. Still, based on my experience, I would advise caution when ordering from this company.

The Oddball is MIDI technology. Not an instrument.
The Oddball is a MIDI device. MIDI is a controller that requires software and Bluetooth to make music.
As a novice the marketing/videos had me believing it was an instrument. Oddball is more than my pre-teen children can handle.
Appropriately the return policy is strict. Be sure you understand what you are purchasing.
The materials are beautiful and the packaging is elegant.

I recently spent £80 with ODDballism
I recently spent £80 with ODDballism, and my experience has been extremely disappointing.
Despite my genuine mistake in providing the wrong delivery address, I reached out immediately after placing my order to correct it. However, I was told that my order had already been fulfilled and that no changes could be made. This response felt dismissive, especially given their claim of being "happy to help" with delivery alternatives.
After visiting the incorrect address, I learned that the parcel was returned to sender. I contacted support again to request a replacement to the correct address, and while they acknowledged my frustration, they promised to look into whether a replacement could be arranged. Since then, I have received no follow-up or updates from them.
I’ve paid £80 for a product I have yet to receive and have only encountered poor customer service. It seems ODDballism is willing to overlook the potential erosion of their brand over what likely costs them around £20 to produce. This lack of care for their customers is disheartening, especially as I genuinely like the product concept - although now I just want a refund and forget about the pain.
I hope they reconsider their approach to customer service in the future.

Don't bother. Expensive rubbish. The connection between app and ball is too slow, took ages to arrive last year and not enough settings on it to have fun. Am impulse buy I regret

Excellent customer service
I’m giving this a 4 star not a 5 only because I haven’t set the item up yet and am speaking only to the customer service. I live in Canada and ordered this item on Nov. 2nd as a Christmas present. When it didn’t arrive within a few weeks I reached out to the company. I was nervous because I’d read some reviews of the item never showing up. Within a couple of days I received a response. While it ended up taking a full month for the item to arrive. The customer service was fantastic and very responsive.
Easy to set up and fun to play
On the fence about company. Refund was given but took a while
I ordered and paid for fast delivery. It didn’t arrive as expected. I contacted their customer help and they said when it did arrive they would refund. I wasn’t impressed with the ball so emailed three times and finally they send me a returns label. I sent it back using recorded DPD drop off the very next day. I emailed 10 days later and they claimed the ball hadn’t yet got back to them. My tracking info showed it had. I gave them a few days and have now emailed twice asking where my refund is and I am receiving no replies at all.
Update: I received an email saying refund would be provided a day after posting the above. I then received an email from the company asking about my review and asking how they could further improve. My refund was processed and I have the money back in my account.

AVOID
AVOID! 6 months of communication or lack of, bank disputes and still haven't received neither the product or a refund. Should have read all the negative reviews before purchasing!
I spent months of sending emails back and forth. They sent the parcel to the wrong postcode twice, even though I specifically told them multiple times they had the wrong postcode. I was forced to contact my bank for a dispute and the bank closed the case (not realising the issue with the the postcode). The bank gave me the £91 as a gesture of good faith. Dealing with this companies incompetence has been very frustrating, they've ignored emails, ignored my request for a refund and refuse to hold their hands up and admit their errors, instead, you're confronted with patronising replies (if you're lucky enough to hear from them at all). They will reply quicker on these reviews than direct emails.
