Refusing to provide payment or insurance information for damaged property
I went through Full Truckload with ODFL and they worked with a 3rd party shipper to ship my product to my customer. My product was shipped with no damages, however the driver ran over a stop sign and damaged my client’s property. Both ODFL and the 3rd party shipper are refusing to pay for the damages and are refusing to provide insurance information for myself and my client to create a claim. What’s the point of getting insurance on a freight load if the shipping company is refusing to pay it or provide insurance information so that my client can file a claim? I was told the driver does want to “increase” his insurance and to cross my fingers that the driver responds to me.
