Absolutely disgusted

Absolutely disgusted. So incredibly rude to us 16 year olds. We went to watch the conjuring and they asked us for id when it was never mentioned we need it and we have gone to their 16 rated movies beforehand without being asked for id. They told us to get out of their face, they don't care and it's not their problem when it was them in the wrong who never told us to bring id? It was a late screened movie and we were unable to get a hold of our parents to send a passport picture. So disappointed about how rude there customer service was and will never be returning.

Dynamic Pricing Is A Failure and Robbery
Cancelled my subscription today along with my partner's as it was costing us more to see a movie than it was costing in our other local cinema in Drogheda. Absolutely robbery! We got great seats in the ARC cinema for 12e while similar seat in the Omniplex was closer to 14e. On top of our monthly subscription. Not a hope! Beautiful cinema but not worth it. Omniplex a big failure by you.

Day light robbery crazy prices…

Went to the omniplex Wexford absolutely day light robbery the price changes are incredible high making it super expensive for a family to have a trip to the cinemas was working out at €90 for our tickets no food included we left and went straight to another local cinema which was €30 cheaper will not be going back to omniplex cinemas any time soon very disappointing

What Was Once the Best Subscription in Ireland Is Now a Cautionary Tale

I’ve been a loyal Omnipass member for six years. I saw it as the best deal going, €17.99 for unlimited movies, no seat fees, and the freedom to go often without second-guessing the cost. It brought people into cinemas regularly, made up the shortfall with snacks and loyalty, and built a real community of moviegoers.

Now? That value is gone.

Omniplex reduced the monthly price just so they could introduce per-visit seat charges. Front row “Super Saver” seats are now the only ones included, the least desirable seats in the house. For anyone who wants a normal view of the screen, you’re now paying extra per visit on top of the subscription. It’s the equivalent of being charged delivery on your all-you-can-eat buffet.

They’ve claimed to be “listening” for months now, but nothing has changed. No tiered plan. No loyalty perks. No actual improvements to match the increased cost of use. Just the same copy-paste PR lines while long-time members cancel in droves.

The most frustrating part? People want to keep supporting them. I’ve personally suggested multiple solutions: a premium tier, snack discounts, seat credit schemes, any form of recognising loyalty and making the pass make sense again. But Omniplex has shown no urgency to act.

It didn’t have to be like this. But Omniplex has taken a great service and hollowed it out, hoping people wouldn’t notice.

We did.

The omnipass changes are now making it a complete scam. Increase the subscription price only to reduce it again and remove the actual benefits, Charging extra for seating and now only ones that are included are break neck front row seats, not including any sort of discount in new Nutgrove cinema in food etc either, toilets constantly broken in Rathmines & the place is filthy , bad customer service has not helped.
What went from being a fantastic offering has gone to a complete ripoff.
The standard of the cinema and food was never great but the subscription made it worth it. Now rather pay the same normal seat prices and go to any other cinema.

Omniplex Card Cancelled

I only found out about the latest changes to the Omniplex Card today. Just today, my daughter and I canceled the card. It's a pity I didn't find out yesterday, it was 1 month less (for each of us) that we were paying.

A Disappointing Decline

Omniplex Pass has gone from one of the best cinema experiences to one of the most frustrating – all in under a few months.

Lets start with the Omnipass subscription, which was marketed with enticing perks like “create your own drink” machines – something that’s already standard at other local cinemas. But just a month later, those machines quietly disappeared. No explanation, no compensation.

Then came the subscription price hike, followed shortly by the introduction of tiered seating prices. That’s right – even if you're already paying a monthly fee, you now have to shell out extra just to choose where to sit.

It’s hard not to feel misled. The value of the Omnipass has dropped significantly, and the whole experience feels like a bait-and-switch. At this point, you have to ask: why bother sticking with Omniplex when other cinemas offer more consistency and better perks?

Enshittification in action

Enshittification in action with the omnipass.

Have a good product that gets worse over time while charging more for it. First an overall price increase for the omnipass then, swiftly followed up by charging extra for the seats that don't cause you to crane your neck to view the movie.

Brucie bonus for also removing the freestyle refill machine.

Been a member for 3 years, used my pass for the first time in a while today and it no longer gets you a ticket, there are additional fees to pay each time. Omnipass no longer gives you access to anything included. Will be cancelling this

Omnicash Cinemas

Changed the omnipass without even asking. Falsely advertised a flat-rate monthly fee and then undid it when I was 4 months in. Terrible company. No respect for loyal customers.

AVOID

Non omnipass members are expected to pay 16euro per ticket?! Absolute nonsense. Recliner seats can only get you so far. Popcorn is ok but almost always tasteless, and not made fresh, just pre packed. Avoid.

I am utterly disappointed in omniplex

I am utterly disappointed in omniplex. I have been with omniplex for about 6-7 months now and have to pay 17 euro a month X2 which I thought was great value considering how much me and friends enjoy going to the cinema, to my surprise before booking a seat I was being charged 2 euro??? It may not seem like much but people with omnipass should not be getting charged as the whole point of the omnipass is to be able to get free tickets but pay the 17 euro a month. I, as many others will be revoking my omnipass and hope to join back if this additional charged is removed.

Used to enjoy going here but…

Used to enjoy going here frequently but agree with the general consensus that charging additional fees on top of a monthly subscription isn't great for business in the long-term. Have cancelled my Omnipass along with many others in the area. Would happily rejoin if it went back the way it was so please let me know if it does.

The cinema as a whole was fine what i have a problem with is the price gouging on the ticket price depending on where you sit in the cinema, up to a difference of 4 euro from my seat and the one in front of me ,it's time to Cosy up with the firestick,

Over priced, dirty and worn seats

My Omnipass, which I pay at the "Gold" level. €17.95 per month, times 2, as I like to bring someone with me, now charges me an extra €1 or €2 per seat, unless I want to sit at the very front of he cinema. So I've gone from being a valued customer, with the choice of great seating, to a customer who has to choose the worst seats, or I pay extra. I'm sitting at the very back, it's dirty, popcorn on the floor, peoples rubbish, and seats out of order, covered over with notes on them. It's a disgrace to charge extra to the highest level of paying customers. I've cancelled the 2 monthly payments, and until the charges disappear, I won't be renewing.

Prior to a few weeks ago I would have given a 4 star review however due to their recent price hike and on top of that dynamic seat charges I will no longer be using omniplex. Everyone should boycott their greedy price increases. Nothing short of disgraceful. I along with my wife and 3 other friends will be cancelling our platinum membership.

As a Myomnipass Premium customer and…

As a Myomnipass Premium customer and the additional perks not available at my Cinema I was downgraded to Standard. Now I have to pay £3 extra for Maxx Standard seating and £2 for standard screenings. Greedy Omniplex could have kept the customer on the premium monthly tariff, but would rather fleece you for extra cash. Membership cancelled by four of my family members. You’ll regret that move Omniplex. Look forward to seeing how this develops and what steps they take to rectify.

Overpriced Omnipass
I have been an omnipass holder for just over one year now. Recently they upped the prices from €14.99 a month to €17.99 a month. To me, this was a reasonable price change as the recliner seats were always more of a luxury, which is the difference between the prices. However, it has come to my attention that the prices have changed again. Mon-Thurs movie showings are unaffected but Fri-Sun has been completely altered to suck money out of loyal customers. If I want to buy a recliner seat I have to pay €6 extra on top of the €17.99 that I pay every month. If I would like a STANDARD seat I have to pay €4 if in the middle or €2 extra. This is utterly ridiculous. As a student the only time I can go to the cinema is Fri-sun and omnipass is taking advantage of this. I will revoke my pass if this does not change and I will encourage the many others who have the pass to do the same. Now I believe the pass is useless because of some money hungry companies.

Me and my 6 other friends where at the…

Me and my 6 other friends where at the cinema the other day ( Thursday 24th April 2025) we where purchasing a ticket for the 2:30 movie Snow White all of us are 14 and expect for 2 girls who had just turned 15, those girls both bought adult tickets which was fine then when the rest of us where purchasing our tickets we asked for a child’s ticket the woman than said no children have to be under 15 in a rude tone, we explained how the rest of us are 14 she said no we are not and wouldn’t give the child’s ticket. It’s not the ticket I’m most upset about it’s how rude and disrespectful she was she seems like she didn’t want to be at work at all and that we where bothering her (which Ik working can be hard but I didn’t force her to work there) I was also upset about how she presumed our ages one of the girls was only after turning 14 less than a month ago overall we were all very upset and had very bad experience.
