Super flexible electric cars
Onto is a super flexible way to get into electric cars offering charging inclusive contracts and roadside assistance. I’ve had a few issues with claims, for bumps and servicing and always get a helpful response. My only issue is this is pretty new as a concept so occasionally the folks on the phones have to call back to sort thing out.

Everything is bright and good for everyone who uses these kind of services but as with all rental companies your nightmare starts when you have to make a claim. Get a scratch or god forbid get a dent or scratch alloy even if it was not your fault. For a job of 100quid they will charge over 500 upwards i mean company needs to profit to stay in business right.
Be very careful.

We understand it’s never nice to receive a charge for damages which is why we ensure we always work in accordance with the BVRLA's fair wear and tear guidelines and provide evidence where damage is chargeable to ensure we’re as fair and transparent as possible.
We follow a strict process which includes referencing delivery and collection images of the car, as well as a full inspection in a controlled environment to make sure we’re only charging you for damage outside of fair wear and tear that you’re responsible for.
All repairs must be carried out by a manufacturer-approved repairer so we can ensure the safety of our customers and our cars. These are carried out at cost with no mark-up, meaning we do not make any financial gain from repairs.

We have been charged close to £1000…
We have been charged close to £1000 since giving our car back (pick up fee + 'damage' costs). Onto took £700 out of our account without discussing (or seeing any images) any of the so called damages that were on the car. We have since received the car report and were shocked to see that they had charged us for the tiniest scratch. Really poor customer service.

When it comes to repairs, Onto repairs its vehicles to an OEM standard (Original Equipment Manufacturer) which is why the costs can be higher than maybe were expected.

The replacement car was in poor condition. I reported lots of cosmetic issues via the app but does not feel good enough compared to the cost.

Good company, Limited availability
I am very happy with the service I received from Onto but disappointed that when I wished to upgrade to something with more range all their offerings were much more expensive. Because I do not have a huge budget for leasing, I went with another company who could supply me with a car with 100 miles extra range for only £40 more .

over charging on wheel repairs and most charge stations dont work.. car also turned up filthy and had to clean it myself.. will not use the company again.. overpriced for what it is.. and they charge you excess and charges very quickly so your monthly costs become even higher.

Onto repairs to an OEM standard (Original Equipment Manufacturer) which means that the cost for repairs may be higher than expected. Onto doesn’t make profit from any repairs that we carry out.
We’re sorry to hear that you had issues with charging stations. Unfortunately Onto has no responsibility for these charging stations as they are run and managed by the individual providers.
We’re also sorry to hear that your car wasn’t delivered in the best condition. In situations like this we can offer a reimbursement (up to a specific amount) to cover the cost of any cleaning that you may have done.

Fantastic company to hire from, they make the whole set up process easy.
Have rated 4 as although very good with communication and everything else, have been somewhat disappointed in relation to their changes with public charging as I had cards for various charging points and e-mails indicating such but when trying to use insta-volt card did not work, when asked was told that instavolt was not covered in public charging price even though the e-mail in its title indicated it was as such

The biggest cheaters and thieves! You rob me every day, you take money from my credit card with impunity! If you think you've come across a naive loser who will allow himself to be robbed, you're wrong! See you in court!
This company is thieves and fraudsters! Once you start your subscription, your money will never be safe again! They will regularly withdraw money from your account or credit card without your consent. Giving further imaginary reasons to burden your staff. And you won't be able to stop it. Communication with the castomer service of this cesspool is one big joke. I will never give up! You will give me back every penny you stole, thieves! The case has already been reported to the financial supervision institution, and my lawyer is preparing a lawsuit.

Temporary car and a fantastic price.
I needed a car temporarily and Onto have been the best rental ever. Having paid a little extra to get the car picked up and dropped off was so convenient.
Rented for 2 months and it was less than 1/3 of the price of all regular rental companies.
