Terrible service

Terrible service, won’t except return even if item was different in photo , cost be 10€ to return for them to return back to me without any correspondence. Will not buy off them again , now left with a jacket that doesn’t fit!

Disgusting company and terrible…

Disgusting company and terrible customer service.

Purchased some Xmas gifts for my kids. The tops were fine but sizing on the leggings and tracksuit bottoms was very strange and not true to size in the slightest. Was annoyed they don’t do free returns but paid for Royal Mail signed for return to ensure it was received. Royal Mail says item delivered early January and shows a signature and says signed for by oneills. Now over a month since it was received by o’neills and all I get from them is that they haven’t received it. This is despite Royal Mail saying it was delivered to the correct address with proof of signature. This is £40 worth of goods. It’s nothing to o’neills but it’s a lot to me and they take days and days to reply and tell me to contact Royal Mail for the parcel status. Royal Mail gives me the parcel
Status as signed for and delivered. O’neills reply and say well their warehouse hasn’t received it. Where does this end. We go round and round in circles. Unless I go to belfast and search the warehouse. They can treat me like a piece of dirt and get away with it. Disgusting customer service, terrible returns experience, they owe me money and I am yet to get anything more than we haven’t received the return. O’Neills is no Nike or marks and Spencer’s or even primark have better customer service then these guys. Utter disgrace. Do not throw your money away by risking ordering through these cowboys.

Breaching consumer rights with hidden T&Cs and false advertising

Misleading advertisements and trying to scam customers. I was trying to place a large order of over $400 to ship to Australia. O’Neills Australia website advertises free shipping for all orders over $250. When I went to place my order I was deemed ineligible for free shipping - apparently because my order weight was over 3kg (as is listed as a shipping T&C on their website) , yet no products have item weights listed on their website…. So it’s impossible to calculate order weight, and therefore impossible to figure out if you’re breaching the T&C or not. They’re trying to catch loyal customers out in order to earn a few bob for themselves. Customer service agents agreed that this was an issue , but also couldn’t find a solution or subside my shipping so I could get the free shipping discount. Ridiculous company, with false advertising and a lack of transparency, clearly breaching consumer rights. Will be reporting to the ASA and EASA and I hope they get a big fine. Poor form.

Poor experience

I bought tracksuit bottoms from them on the 11 th January an XL maybe XL for a female but not a male I returned them on the 16 th January I don't have a printer to print the label customer services advised by phone to just fill in form and send them back I did this I have proof of posting I have heard nothing only get we will take 7-10 days I have had an email wanting to praise customer services absolutely furious with this intransigence

Inferior product with no support from the company

Purchased $70+ jersey that was sized for a toddler. "Tight fit" was an extreme understatement. I purchased a larger size due to the notation, and it was still doll sized. What's worse is the company would not honor a return (even for shop credit) because the item was "outside of their return window" (28 days during the holidays?!). It was purchased early (10/27/24 - with the return inquiry made 12/22/24) as a holiday present that had to be shipped internationally to me, wrapped, and then shipped internationally again, to the recipient. Most companies offer an extended return window during the holidays - these guys just tell you to pound sand. Use caution when purchasing gifts from this company. I'll never make the mistake again.

Breach of EU consumer Law

I ordered an educational kit on 7th January. On the same order section of the kit it said to allow 2-5 days for dispatch. Below that it then said 1-2 days delivery from dispatch.
It does NOT specify that this is/or isn't business days.
I recieved the item on day 10. I no longer required the item, offered to post it back and requested a refund.
My enquiries were met with below par customer service agents who were incredibly dismissive and argumentative.

I pointed out that EU law states i have a 14 day cooling off period, unless the item was personalised with "Your Name" it wasn't, it was personalised with a general educational bodies name, which is easily resold. It is not personalised with a identifiable persons name.

I was declined a refund, which is in breach of my consumer rights.

I requested the complaints process four times, all four times I was ignored.

I will never shop here again, and will endeavour to share on all social media platforms the lack of customer care provided.

Great customer service

Ordered items yesterday at 5pm that are needed for a competition next week and emailed customer service in hope they could help, with a quick and polite reply Sarah got straight on it and made it priority in which my order was dispatched today by 1pm ! Could not as for better customer service!

Absolutely terrible service from…

Absolutely terrible service from O’Neills I ordered my son kit on the 17th December and 23 days later I am still waiting for even and uodate. Your website states 2 to 5 days to produce and then ship. You have had more than enough working days before and after your Christmas closure to complete the order but nothing all it says is “order being processed”. I completed an online enquiry form 3 days ago and still no email or phone call for an update, I have tried calling and although it states I am in a queue it then says there is no one available. My son has his first match with his new team in three days and no kit to wear thanks to this dreadful service!

As stated on our website, to ensure any orders containing club products were dispatched in time for Christmas, the cut-off date for orders containing club products was 8th December, which was clearly advertised on our website from 2nd December, both on the homepage and at the checkout.

Since your order was placed on the 17th December, it was not guaranteed to be shipped before Christmas. Our office was closed for the Christmas holidays from the 20th of December until the 2nd of January.

Advertised on the product page as well as under the 'Delivery & Orders' section of the website, it states, 'We strive to dispatch your order within 5 working days, so long as it is in stock of course! If you have ordered personalised items, including club or education products, we would greatly appreciate if you would allow an additional 2-5 days for our team to create and dispatch your order!'

As your order contains club products, the additional 2-5 days on top of the original 5 working days dispatch, applies to your order.

Currently your order is on its 7th working day of production, and we are happy to confirm your order was dispatched this morning. Additionally. we understand our customer service team has been in contact and this issue has now been resolved.

I placed an order on 03 December on…

I placed an order on 03 December on behalf of my mother as a present for her grandkids. The items were eventually delivered on 17th December which was too late for our Christmas visit to the grandparents so no presents for the grandkids. I had phoned o'Neills every day from 06th-13th December and was lied to multiple times and told on 09th that the items would be dispatched in 24-48 hours. This obviously did not happen. I called them on 13th to cancel the order as it was still not dispatched and was too late at that point only to be told that it couldn't be cancelled and the items will be shipped in the next day and when I receive them I would have to pay to return the items to them once they arrived. Please avoid at all costs if you want to avoid high blood pressure as the stress that they caused was considerable. It is now 08th January and still no refund.

Complete radio silence to begin

Made a purchase on New Year’s Eve from the UK. Apple Pay didn’t work so tried through PayPal which went through. A confirmation page came through but I didn’t screen shot it as normally a confirmation email comes through. That wasn’t the case and I’ve now contacted them through their contact us page twice, and once through Facebook and still not had anything back. It’s been nearly a week now and still not heard anything back. I’ll change this review if they sort it out but at this time the customer service has been non existent.

UPDATE:

Whilst it took a long time to hear back, since then the whole experience took a much better turn. I reordered the trainers and they turned up much quicker than I expected. I’ve since updated my review to reflect the overall experience!

Stay away from this company by all means. I think I’ve been scammed. I placed my order on 30 December, my money is debited and my order has still not been dispatched. Nobody answers the phone number on their page

Appalling service

Extremely frustrating experience. I ordered two items from O’Neils on 16 December as a gift for my grandson for Christmas. When I ordered I received confirmation and delivery was to take 3-5 days. The confirmation stated that I would receive an email once the goods were despatched. I am still waiting for a despatch email 18 days after placing my order! I have tried to contact O’Neils via their help page which, incidentally doesn’t work. I have also tried phoning them and there is no answer. I see some reviews where individuals have received ‘excellent’ customer service. How, when they can’t even be contacted? Appalling service! O’Neils would you like to comment?

Ordered a club jacket on 13th of Dec

Ordered a club jacket on 13th of Dec, still no sign of jacket, they say 7 to 10 working day, one person must be handmaking it from scratch for that time frame, customer service to be fair have responded but just with usual jargon, wont be using Oneills again, very slow and disappointing! Also have a look at Oneill responses, they only respond to positive feedback, thats tells you all you need to know about the company!

Not even worth 1 star review !

I ordered wet suit boots for a Christmas present.

No confirmation from the company ie receipt, confirmation delivery nothing !

Boots were delivered late (thrown on doorstep) again no confirmation.

Boots were in a box, again no receipt with them (nothing) and to make matters worse the WRONG size.

I am left with Boots which are the wrong size. I have send emails and got no response yet.

Worst return policy ever

I ordered two pairs of trainers and spent around 230 euros and i loved the trainers but the sizes were wrong, so i decided to return them in the hope to exchange them to the correct size.
I found to my suprise as quoted by the website.................................
We would advise our customers to use recorded postage when sending return parcels. Please note that both the parcel and the cost of returning the parcel is the responsibility of our customers.

This is a load of nonsence as they advertise themselves as an irish brand and yet only have one store in the south.

They do however have a store where you can return your item if you fancy a 5 hour drive .....

You can also return online orders to the O’Neills store in Strabane, where you can take your return to the main till. Please return the item in its original packaging along with the Returns Form and please ensure the bag is sealed.

I think ive learnt my lesson and wont be purchasing anything from them ever again.
