This company was the first credit card I have ever had, I am very thankful for helping me build my credit up. I have recommended OpenSky to a couple of my other friends that did not have a credit card yet. Everything has always been clear and easy to understand. Thank you !!!

I am extremely disappointed with OpenSky and their unfair late fee policy. The late fee is $38.00, which is already excessive, but what makes it worse is how rigid and unreasonable they are about removing it.

I maintained my account in good standing for a long time, consistently paying on time and even above the minimum. Like many people, I experienced unexpected circumstances that caused me to fall behind briefly—but instead of showing any understanding or valuing my history as a responsible customer, OpenSky applies these high fees with no flexibility.

What’s truly frustrating is that they only allow ONE late fee removal per year, no matter how good your payment history has been before that. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been a loyal customer or have never asked for a waiver before—they will not work with you beyond that one time. That policy feels extremely unfair and out of touch with real-life situations.

A $38 late fee is already a burden, especially when you’re trying to catch up financially, and the lack of customer support or consideration makes it even worse. OpenSky does not seem to value its customers or their financial efforts.

I would not recommend this card to anyone trying to rebuild credit—they make it harder, not easier.

I love that they offer multiple options and were the only card company that accepted me as a client to help build a credit score with a secured card

Trouble maneuvering online.

Open sky has given me the opportunity to have a credit card again after having a financial crisis. They made it very easy to deposit the money for a secured Visa card. The support staff is very nice and the fraud department is very prompt in getting info needed to you.

Love it... Only issue is getting a card, never comes and makes a mess.. Other than that love it

I've had no issues with either of my cards since I've gotten them. Ive had no problem getting in touch with customer service and having concerns properly addressed. I was worried when I first applied due to the reviews but it's been almost a year and I'm satisfied with my cards.

Application process was short and not to long. Simple and easy, upstanding and just all around better then most Application.

very good for rebuilding credit, but feels really tricky that it takes 1- 2 weeks to restore your available credit after making a payment

Customer service and the ease of the app are all great

I paid off my Open Sky in 2021 to close my card. It was paid in full and I owed them nothing. It is 2026 and they are reporting on my credit report that I owe them $295 for a card I no longer have and paid off almost 5 years ago. Now, they are saying that I have to find proof. This has to be against thr law. What average individual keeps old receipts, letters, etc. years later? I just want them to stop lying and take it off my credit report.

I am Not happy with how Open Sky operates
They would charge multiple charges for late payments when you don’t pay on the closing day which is not known to the customer. They also would not allow to make 2 payments in one day. They also charged if you did not go paperless. There was always fees taken out of my
Account and I I felt like it was hurting my credit. The day I closed Open sky. My credit score dropped 9 points and I was not happy about it. I do not recommend this service because in my opinion it will hurt you instead of helping you. This is my experience
