It’s been several years since I did a range of courses with Paradigm Security Solutions, the quality of the teaching on the course and its style were perfect for me to absorb the information.
Rob Paxman is a former member of 22 SAS and has a background from that as a CP Instructor, he and his team have past and current experience within the industry making sure that they remain current in an ever changing environment.
For me Rob Paxman and his team found the balance between theory and practical sessions along with methods of subtly pushing you that little bit further which allows you to have the space to learn. At times it felt like you were left alone but you grew into that space as you applied the knowledge that had been provided and developed an understanding that you just wouldn't had you had your hand held throughout Rob kept talking of that stretch which you came to understand was the space the learner filled as their confidence in their skills developed. Rob tries and largely succeeds in turning out competent independant operators.
The residential nature allows you to totally absorb the atmosphere and gel with your teams as you planned and executed the various practical scenarios.
PSS encourage past learners to attend future reruns of courses free of charge to reduce skill fade and there is a camaraderie amongst PSS members which serves as a great network for work opportunities and advice.
