Liverpool John Lennon Airport Reviews 

We left our car in the family long stay car park with the assurance about its safety and the cctv. On return it had been badly damaged by someone who had hit it and obviously driven off. After many weeks of chasing (very difficult to actually get in touch with customer services) they said they can’t locate the footage. Very very poor - I recommend not using these car parks. They are unsafe.

Amy on the Ryanair desk saved the day for us in this airport! We missed a connecting flight through Liverpool as our first flight was delayed and Amy was incredibly helpful and friendly. Booked us onto the earliest possible flight immediately with a small fee which was hundreds cheaper than the next available flight. If we didn’t get helped we may have had to travel to Manchester and sleep in the airport. Couldn’t be more thankful for the help we received. All staff in this airport seem very friendly but experienced the best customer service I have ever gotten from Amy on the 23rd July 2023

Always rated Liverpool to fly from as it's our closest airport but the return journey today is a joke. Landed at 2.30am on a flight from Lanzarote. Waited over an hour and a half for luggage to come. No organisation and no messages from the rude and incompetent staff! Manchester for me next time!

Where possible, I prefer to travel from Liverpool Airport. The problem I have is the return experience. Arriving back at Liverpool JL Airport is a mess. It's dirty and uninviting. This really needs to be sorted ASAP if Liverpool JL is to move forward. I am a proud person born and bread in Liverpool and I am I passionate about my city, I want the Airport to be the best, but the arrivals experience is certainly not up to scratch. My message to those responsible is get your act together or employ others who can (and must) do better.

I booked Special Assistance for my mother who is in a wheelchair The woman at the desk said there was no-one to bring us through security, that I would have to bring her through security and some one would meet us at the gate. There was no one at Security to direct us. At the gate two staff turned up, there was six people requiring Special Assistance, again there was no direction and the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. I actually had to push the wheelchair right out to the ambilift. The reason you request Special Assistance is that you need help with a disabled person. The service was abysmal and discrimination against disabled people. Our experience in Belfast George Best Airport was excellent in every way, extremely helpful staff, couldn't do enough. John Lennon Airport take note !!!

arrived back on easyjet and landed on time, the walk from the plane to passport control is a disgrace, the glass walk way is filthy and not been cleane4d in a long time, once in the terminal building this is not much better with water stained ceiling tiles and general poor maintenance, not a very good impression to any international guests coming into Liverpool, got through passport control quick enough but then we had to wait 90 mins for our baggage, in the end another flights baggage was on the same conveyor and confusion all around, what a shambles, I approached a couple of hi fiz workers who were on wheelchair duties, not my problem mate was the reply, ok tell me where somebody is in charge to speak to, there is nobody he said, ok give me the number of your supervisor, he said no, again said not his problem and not interested, one has to remember that the fast majority of passengers have onward journeys to make but Liverpool airport are not interested as long as they are making money from the rip off parking charges, and as for the attitude of the staff Liverpool airport needs to take lessons from other spotlessly clean and efficient airports and learn some lessons

what a dump!

A bit silly to have a review for the whole airport because some bits are good others bad. I’m reviewing the dreadful drop off parking which now costs £5 for 5 minutes, and which goes up at a silly rate for longer. Completely contrived to extort money, a nominal £1 might be ok. This is not a major international airport where you sometimes encounter this sort of rip off. Unnecessary double reds on a long wide approach road to force you into paying. It’s simply a rip off and creates a bad impression. Compare with expensive city Copenhagen, free for 15 mins. shows decency and makes a good impression.

We are frequent users of liverpool airport, my wife has special assistance and its so much easier. On the 29th June we travelled from wroclaw by ryanair, We landed at approximately 21.25 and the speed of ambi lift crew and assistance lady,which was very busy time the care and speed was exceptional.
This airport is absolutely brilliant.
Thank you and looking forward to next time.

Ripped off this morning arrived back from Lanzarote.waiting for suitcase conveier to start over an hour.my son was waiting to pick me up.instead of costing me £5 it cost £25. Alot people not pleased.

Burger King waiting time 🤬staff very unhelpful wouldn’t server at the till said use self service

The Esteury kitchen and bar had a lovely meal and drinks, served by Antonio she was very friendly and helpful food was excellent would highly recommend. Aisha also was very friendly and helpful by far the best restaurant in Liverpool Airport. All the other restaurants need to take a leaf out of Antonio’s book for being friendly and helpful.will definitely wil eat there again

Waited almost an hour for our luggage but the reply from John Lennon customer services basically said wasnt our fault, nearly an hour isnt too bad, no apology threw the blame on easyjet over the tannoy then swissport on an email. Typical slopey shoulder stuff its never our fault. This is the second time waited too long and we were the only plane in god help anyone when two planes land. Manchester next for us Im afraid.

Staff extremely rude and discourteous. Staff did not want to serve-they wanted everyone to order using the app.Food mediocre and cold.
Would give it 0 stars if possible

Just don’t use this terrible airport, stay clear.

The security took way too long to check our luggage and we were in a hurry to catch a plane. They laughed around, talked, moved slowly instead of hurrying up. They made a big deal out of our cosmetics bag. We missed a flight because of them and of course no one was willing to do anything about it. Thanks for all the trouble and lost money.

Both bars out of drink , one bar was supposed to close at 7pm but wouldn’t serve people at 6.20!! stood there at another bar waiting to get served for 15 minutes as numerous staff just walked past talking to each other ignoring people at the bar … service awful and prices ridiculous

Clean The Toilets, The Ladies are Disgusting,Shame on the Airport .

Liverpool airport is wonderful.
Everything is easy and stress free.
Car park is easy to find and plenty of places to park. Quick walk along to the terminal check in and boarding.
Return journey was equally easy and stress free.
I live in Manchester but from now on it will always be Liverpool.
Special mention to the guys at passport control. Friendly, easy chat about where we had been, real human contact. Very refreshing!

While I was checking in for my morning flight to Nice with my partner.
Everything was going fine, the flight was on time etc.

However when we got to the checkin desk, one of the management team was terrible.
They reprimanded the staff right in front of us!

It looked highly unprofessional and we was disgusted.

The manager took them behind a door & we could hear the argument from the other side!

This manager had black hair & glasses
She was VERY unprofessional

Has a machine that deliberately falsified the result of a test on a sealed factory deodorant. Management know this is happening but totally ignored the issue so they cN the Rob you I'm the retail outlet. Clever of them.to also send you through duty free to get to departures again so you will spend money with them and in turn the retailer will stay renting a unit and the Management can encourage others with the figures of big names providing rip off prices to pay for the assistance of JLA to assist in ripping the consumer off

Fast track security an absolute joke. Do not waste your money. Paid for it to find it shut when we got there. Complaint sent 3 times and they can’t even be bothered to respond!
