Went to my dentist for a check up on the 16th march 2026, to get a letter from a company called dcbl collections agency on behalf of parkmaven, charging me a £170 for parking, ii have been going to the same dentist for over 5 yrs, they are now telling me to get legal advice as I have told them I'm not paying there made up fine, this is a joke and this company needs to be advised they cannot be doing this.

Used a parking company to park my car who used a car park somewhere they shouldn't - have appealed against the parking charge but continue to get letters asking for the debt to be paid. Take me to court!

Robbers! This company sends fines without sending real supporting proof, and the "third party" evaluator (POPLA) also provides nonsense details. Probably they split profits.

If I could give a zero I would. Horrendous company. The first time I knew there was an issue was a Final Reminder letter for £100.00. I received no previous letters. I couldnt appeal through the normal channels as they take away that option by the time you receive a Final Reminder. No phone numbers, no email addresses. I used the online tool to send appeal. I then found two email addresses, that I then complained too as the PCN was issued incorrectly. In the end, I was given no option but to go to the BPA who took on my case. In the meantime, I received a Debt Recovery letter for £170.00. I called to advise it was still in appeal - they threatened me with court and a criminal record. I had no option but to pay half with half to follow on a month later :( I felt there was no other option. ParkMaven continued to ignore all emails. the BPA then emailed to advise my appeal was upheld and the initial parking charge was incorrect. IK called the Debt Recovery company - they advised nothing they could do to refund me even though the 2nd payment wouldnt go through. ParkMaven are the most horrific company. Please - if you receive anything from them, try the BPA. Do not pay them - do not feel like you have to pay them, they are cowboys. Never again will I use a car park of theirs. Avoid. I have now tried to contact them again to recover the money they have of mine - I doubt they will answer me. Horrid company

This company is horrendous! We got a fine for them saying we didn’t pay for parking in hull, we did and have bank statements to prove I payed the £3! I’ve tried to call and email them for over a year now with zero response! Since they have taken me to court and now either have to pay £386 or will have bailiffs and a ccj!! This is a absolute scam and I won’t be paying it and I’ll look forward to the bailiffs knocking, I feel like driving to there offices and speaking to someone

I received a PCN for parking for 2hrs 10mins 22secs on 13/3/26., dated 18/3/26 but recd on 10/4/26 after the date the charge would increase to £100. I had returned to the car park having only parked for 1 & a half hours the first time & a shorter time the second time. Clearly the system paired my arrival time the first occasion with my departure time the second. I appealed by recorded delivery letter not realising I should do it on line, then having been in hospital a month had a final notice to pay a £100 with no reference to my letter, I paid to avoid the misery & now find I cannot appeal. You cannot contact this firm, & I had supposedly only exceeded the grace period allowed by 22 seconds.

Parked for 1 month near Heathrow, fully authorised and paid for. The carpark is 'managed' by Parkmaven and they have since sent me 4 different PCNs for different dates during that period. I have appealed them all and requested that they stop sending them, but they keep coming and there is no customer service function to call and complain.
Have vowed never to use one of their carparks again

If there was a score less than 1, i'll give that. They are the worst. I parked in the Harlow car park (Terminus house and i actually made payment but obviously, their machine is just as useless. A few months later, I got a ticket asking for £100. I appealed and i was told to pay £25.00. I attempted paying the £25 everyday until the last day but it was giving the option of £100. On the last day when i couldn't pay the £25, i sent out a cheque. 2 months letter, I am getting a letter from collections. Are they even serious? I am ready to go to court at this point because, I have proof of payment and attempts to send cheque etc. Stay away from Terminus car park in Harlow by all means.

This company is frankly almost criminal in how it operates. Just received a ticket for £100 despite having a receipt for payment by both email and SMS. A blatant attempt at extortion. I will be contacting Action Fraud. This is not an error it is a systematic attempt to extort as the same thing has happened to others who attended the same event and left the carpark around the same time. DO NOT USE the Carillon Carpark in Loughborough. I have sent a complaint telling these muppets I'll be seeing them in court rather that the other way around.

Machine was not working
Got a ticket complained as was told the lower rate would apply if my complaint was not successful. Heard nothing. £100 fine today ! Grossly unfair!! Awful company. Cannot get to any helpline etc

Booked two nights at the Alfa Holidays Queens Hotel Eastbourne Sussex 22nd November 2025 The Receptionist booked our car on to the car park system from the 22nd to 24th Nov. sometime later received in the post a PCN issued 1st Dec 2025 stating we had parked illegally on the 24th Nov 25?

8th Dec having phoned the Hotel Manager who confirmed the Parking Company Parkmaven were always issuing fines and asked my wife to email the PCN to them and they would write to Parkmaven to get it cancelled. Despite them writing and confirming we were In-house guests at the hotel Parkmaven ignored the request and continued to issue further increased demands! They then Sold/Passed the alleged debt now £170.00 to dcbl Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd who are only interested in getting payment for their Client Parkmaven Do not respond to emails Do not have a contact phone number and dcbl are just plain rude and use bully tactics on the phone when my wife who is 73 or Daughter have called trying to get it cancelled. We have even got Alpha Holidays Customer Care Managers involved who have emailed Parkmaven requesting cancellation without success. I am now prepared to proceed to Court and Counter Claim against Parkmaven CEO Harrison Woods and dcbl and Alpha Holidays for compensation for ruining our stay at the Hotel and for the stress and harassment.

I used The Shires car park in Trowbridge run by Parkmavan and then had letters and text messages from bailiffs such as Debt Recovery Plus demanding I pay £100s, for something there's no proof of. I paid one debt company and then keep getting threatening text messages from another.

I used the My Parking mobile app to pay for 48hrs parking at a hotel.
Multiple entry/exits were permitted as per T&Cs.
I was issued a ticket during my 48hr period for leaving and returning to the car park.
I appealed and it was approved as the PCN had been issued in error.
Parkmaven then sold my details and a debt to a debt collection agency.

Parked in the Holiday Inn Exeter and paid by the barcode on the sign. Received a fine and had proof of payment which luckily for them they couldn't tell me why i paid parkmaven. Really bad company and gives others a bad name. Very disappointed this sort of practice is not frowned upon more. Complete scam and poor, poor, poor practices.

Shocking company - paid for a pre-booked space at Novotel Birmingham but still got a PNC for £100
Appealed with evidence of payment and booking with "just park" - this was accepted but they rejected the appeal stating that it should have been paid through their preferred partner "yourparkingspace" !!! Absolute con artists....

They do not reply to any contact via their website.
They pass this fine on to a 3rd party debt collection service called DCBL. Some reviews say it's the branch of the same company. Signage at their car parks is not clear and always visible. Nice little cash cow they have going on here. Avoid their car parks!!

Terrible Company, paid my fair but still got a ticket

We parked and paid for parking on christmas eve the payment came out on boxing day. We got a fine and I paid it as didnt want it to be nearly double. Ive emailed 7 times with no response???

I have told you and given proof of purchase I PAID WITH ONE APP AND AFTER READING BAD REVIEWS I CANCELLED WITH THEM, AND BOOKED WITH AN ALTERNATIVE PROVIDER!! Which ALAS WAS AN ABSOLUTE MISTAKE no customer service to speak to an actual human

I parked in the Aston Court Hotel's car park in Derby to drop off two of my friends who were paying guests that were staying at this hotel. This was to allow them to get changed before driving them onto a club for the evening. I waited in my car for them to come back from their rooms for what was expected to be 10 mins, however the guests took 30 minutes to come back. I had checked for signs about parking and the only sign I saw was "For use by hotel guests only", so assumed I was ok to park. I would add that the car park was very poorly lit at night also.

Many months later, after 93 days had elapsed, I received a demand from the hotel's parking enforcement contractor "Parkmaven" for £100.

Thankfully I have access to a good lawyer and lodged an appeal against the the enforcement company's ticket with a promise to fight them in court with all means at my disposal. Incidentally they had already broken the industry POPLA rules by not notifying the keeper within 14 days for an ANPR offence, so at 93 days they were just trying it on. Needless to say they thought better of it, declined to fight me in court and waived the ticket.

Any companies or hotels that use this parking service provider I will boycott.

Too many businesses trying to use parking scams on their own customers, I suggest people vote with their wallets.
