I can’t thank Kim at Paws at Peace enough for the kindness and compassion shown to me during such a difficult time.
From the very beginning, Kim kept me fully informed and made sure i understood every step of the process. She gave me all the time i needed to say goodbye it was a late night call and even said she could wait all night me to say i was ready for Bobby to go.

Thanks to Kim, Bobby was able to be put to sleep peacefully and with dignity, in his own home, surrounded by his family without the stress of going to the vets. I would highly recommend Paws at Peace to anyone facing the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to a much loved pet. Even the aftercare of text messages and a card with a keepsake, this is a 5 star service which goes above and beyond. Again thank you Kim

A difficult review to write, but Paws at Peace are so kind, we want others to know it. We've had a devastating year losing 5 of our beloved rabbits, luckily we learned of Paws at #3, the team were incredibly patient and compassionate, Kim helped our sweet Ella pass peacefully. When it came to say goodbye to a bonded pair of 12 years at short notice, Abi helped them pass side by side with dignity and surrounded by love.

There are no awkward moments, there is no feeling that it is a transaction, there is only understanding, patience and support, with beautiful follow up messages and letters to check in. A company and a team of amazing people who help our worst days go a little easier. I cannot recommend Paws at Peace more highly.

Compassionate and professional service. Abi came out to visit us at a really difficult and emotional time. Whilst the loss of our much loved dog, Saffie, was heartbreaking, it was peaceful and handled with professional care, at home. This saved us a traumatic visit to the vet which we know would have upset Saffie.

We had so much sadness and heartbreak when we had to let go of our Trixie.
She was such a beautiful part of our family. Unfortunetaly at age 15 and failing health we made the hard decision to let her go. My husband reached out to Paws at Peace and we had such a kind and gently lady by the name of Kim attend our home, she helped us all through the process , there was no feeling of being rushed , just in our time and when we were ready to say goodbuy.
The communcation from the first call to the aftercare has been absolutely amazing... from messages to check in to see how we all are... if we had any questions.... to having a wonderfull card sent out to us with kind wishes...

I cannot fault Paws at Peace such a wonderful team... i would wholeheartedly recommend Kim and the team to anyone who wishes to have a loving family pet be at home to pass.

I couldn’t thank Kim at Paws at Peace enough. From start to finish she made us feel at ease and made our last moments with Frank as special as it could be. It took the stress of going to the vets and made it so comfortable at home. Kim explained everything and arranged for Seaham Crematorium to take over. It was last minute due to our dogs health deteriorating and Kim rang me late on the night and made sure we were looked after and had an appointment the following day. Thank you so much for everything, I would 1000% recommend Paws at Peace to anyone and have already mentioned it to friends and family. Kim really goes above and beyond and we are so grateful for everything. The thoughtfulness, even sending messages afterwards as additional support and a card, it’s the little things ❤️

On the 1st November we had to say goodbye to our much loved Labrador Ollie. We cannot praise Kim and the team enough. Kim explained everything that would happen and how Ollie would react . It made what was such tough day so much better. Everyone who loved him got to say their goodbyes. I think what stuck most in my mind were Kim’s words “ he had good life and deserved a kind death” and it was. Many Thanks to Kim and the team.

Our beautiful Labrador, Harry was put to rest in his own home, in his own bed, with his brother beside him and surrounded by his loved ones.
It is a personal and heart wrenching time but Kim was lovely and explained exactly what would happen and how Harry would react to the procedure. Kim did the journey with us, she did not rush us at all, letting us manage the pace. She also arranged the timing of the cremation company, Forget-me-not, to follow shortly after. (They were also so caring, tucking him up in his bed). Such a better experience than going to the vets as we did with our last Labrador.
We sincerely thank all involved for your compassion at such an emotional time.

We reached out to Paws at Peace after being told about them from a local vet. Kim, Sam & Abi made saying goodbye to our gorgeous furbaby the most beautiful experience under the very sad circumstances. Abi arrived on time, put us at ease straight away, talked us through everything that could or would happen. My husband & I had our sweet girl on our knees, and I don’t even think that she knew Abi was there. We gave our girl the perfect send off. Peaceful, dignified & stress free at home. We got support afterwards too. It didn’t just stop when our appointment ended. I cannot recommend Paws at Peace enough. Fabulous company.

We are truly grateful for Kim’s help. She and her team are exceptionally important and incredibly capable.

On 15/11, we urgently needed their service. Kim called me right away to explain everything and help us look for what was needed. Unfortunately, because it was a Sunday, many services were closed. She assured me that she could arrange everything first thing the next morning and would go directly to the relevant company to take care of the follow-up.

She also comforted me, reminding me to take care of my emotions during the waiting period, because waiting is always the hardest part. One thing I really want to highlight: no matter how busy Kim is, she always calls me instead of replying through messages. This makes me feel truly cared for and reassured.

On the day of the service, everything handled by Kim’s colleague, Abi, was done with great care—never rushed. Besides comforting us, she even connected gently with my dog. The whole process was completed peacefully and calmly.

I genuinely hope everyone can continue to support Kim’s services. Their home-visit service gives us not only practical help but also emotional support. Being in a familiar and quiet environment, surrounded by such a compassionate team, means so much. For them, this is not just a job—their love and dedication are truly exceptional.

On the morning our lovely old dog was in too much pain to stand up, we knew we had to find a vet who offered home euthanasia.

We called Paws at Peace and although being emotionally distraught, we felt Kim helped us magnificently throughout the whole process.

From agreeing to come out the same day, to arriving with a calm authority and talking to us about what would be involved, she gave us all the time, emotional space and support that both we and our dog needed to say goodbye to each other with dignity.

She contacted an excellent local pet cremation service who came out shortly after which helped us to cope massively.

We really cannot recommend Kim highly enough. Paws at Peace provide a caring personal service. Allowing our pet to die in familiar surroundings with us holding her and reassuring her was very important to us and helped us cope with our grief.

We phoned this company up to lay our amazing loulou to rest as we didn’t want to use the vets …. My husband spoke to a lovely guy called Sam on the phone which he made us both feel at ease the day after a lovely lady called abi came to lay her to rest at home and she was just better than we could of ever imagined she made us both feel at ease and that nothing was to much bother or a rush she talked us though everything she was doing and what would happen I can honestly say it’s helped us with our passing of our beautiful sweet litttle girl loulou i can’t speak any more highly about paws at peace 5 stars plus always

Paws at Peace was recommended by our vet and we wished for our beloved boy Benji to be at home in familiar surroundings for the family to say their goodbyes.
Everyone at Paws at Peace were extremely kind and considerate throughout the day.
They explained the whole process including cremation options. Kim was very understanding and we never felt rushed or under pressure in any way.

My vet suggested Paws at Peace when the time came for our beloved dog Ollie to go over the rainbow bridge. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and understanding. They made a very painful time a dignified and quite beautiful experience. We were with him throughout this time and it was very calm, the sedation given to Ollie making him completely unaware of what was happening. The decision as to when to give the final injection was left up to us, no pressure no time limit. Kim, the vet, felt like an old friend and brought us together as a family to say our goodbyes explaining each step and Ollie's possible reactions as she went along. She treated Ollie like her own. Kate, admin, was my first point of contact and was just wonderful, allowing me as much time as i needed to talk through my hearbreaking decision. Although Ollie has gone to a better place the care does not stop there. The communication before and after has been supportive and i know that on the days that i am struggling that they are only a phonecall away. The cost of this service is cheaper than using the vets and how wonderful for our beloved dog to go to sleep at home surrounded by all who love him. My heart is still breaking but thank goodness for Paws at Peace. I can highly recommend using this wonderful service. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts xx

I would recommend Paws at Peace 100% to family and friends. Kim remained with us throughout providing support and comfort to us. Kim explained every step to us and time was no issue which brought us comfort knowing that Marley was able to cross the rainbow bridge calmly and peacefully in his own home. From the moment we called Paws at peace,we knew we were in good hands. The lovely admin lady, Kate was totally appropriate, very kind and very helpful. She talked about how Paws at peace worked and answered our questions sympathetically and reassuringly!
The vet Kim arrived at the allotted appointment time, sending a text fifteen minutes before hand so we knew she was on her way! When she arrived she put us at ease straight away. She didn’t rush us, she chatted to us and explained clearly what would happen. She made a difficult situation the best it could be and our lovely little dog had the best ending he possibly could. She was wonderful and I would recommend Paws at peace to anybody facing the end of their beloved pets life.

Dr. Shapard was incredibly kind — her calm voice and gentle demeanor brought peace to one of the hardest days of our lives. She was patient, compassionate, and so tender with both my fiancé and me, and especially with my sweet girl, Zoe.

We never felt rushed; everything was handled with care, love, and dignity. Saying goodbye at home was heartbreaking, but Dr. Shapard’s presence made it peaceful and full of grace.

On behalf of Ian, myself and Luke (dog) we would like to say a big thank you for giving Jake and Finn a pain free, calm and dignified end. You allowed us to say goodbye in our own time. We are glad we let Luke (Jake’s grandson and his uncle Finn) get to spend time with them. We could not have chosen a better way to say goodbye.

Saying goodbye to our beloved Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Flynn, was the hardest thing we've ever had to do – but having Kim by our side made all the difference.

Kim allowed us the time we needed, never rushing, always focused on Flynn’s comfort and our emotional well-being. She explained everything with sensitivity and clarity, helping us feel supported and understood at every step.

Thanks to her, Flynn was able to pass in his favorite spot at home, surrounded by love, without fear or stress. We could not have asked for a more humane or caring experience.

I lost my English bull terrier 17months ago unexpectedly, I didn't even know you could at home.i was visited by Kim what a fantastic woman she is.so caring,compassionate. So when it was time for my labrabor I knew exactly how I wanted her to go.At home in my arms.i asked for Kim personally.as I knew I would not want any one else to be with me.No pressure at all it's all your wishes what you would like.Even offer to ring crematorium for you in this awful time.Its been 8 weeks and still big miss
