I wish I had read these reviews first. They somehow sent 6000 of the 17000 I sent them to the IRS and now wont answer the phone. i will file a credit card dispute.

Could not get anyone on the phone, only a robot telling me info I didn't want, never received my receipt after payment. Now I don't know when the IRS will receive my 2024 tax payment if they receive it at all.

$49k payment gone missing. No response on email (multiple messages on the website portal) or calls (40 min on hold then disconnected). I am only giving them "1" as there is no zero.

Incredibly bad service. I used this service through H&R Block (who's software I've used for the last 20 years) to pay my taxes online for the first time. BIG MISTAKE! I received a letter from the IRS a month after filing saying I owed the amount that I used Pay1040 to pay the IRS. I had received an email confirmation number after filing from Pay1040. I submitted two inquiries on their webpage (promising a response in 24-48 hours). I did not receive any response or follow-up. I then called their customer service number three times. The first wait was 32 minutes before I had to hang up. The second call I was on hold for over an hour and had to hang up. The third call I was on hold for 2 hours and 51 minutes before the call terminated on their end (at 2:55 PM CST). I call H&R Block and they weren't helpful ('keep trying or "call the IRS).

Again horrible horrible experience. The mofo’s got my $900 to pay my taxes and early July got a notice in late July IRS still haven’t received payment called them and got put on a call with somebody trying to give away stuff and when I said I wasn’t interested they disconnected me …have to go get my credit card company involved to get my money back how they can still be in business is beyond me. I wish I would’ve seen these reviews before I paid. I also wish the review could be a zero use at your own risk

This is the worse service ever we need to reform it or get rid off it isn’t working and we pay it with our taxes , I have been calling for the past three days and when they are about to answer they hang up on me after being waiting for hours. I gave them a star because I couldn’t mark cero .

Every call is 3 hours on hold. They took our payment in May 2022, the IRS sent us a letter in August 2022 stating we didn't pay it yet. We called Pay1040 and they assured us that they didn't pay because we wrote a social security number wrong and they would take care of it. February 2024 we get notice that we now owe the IRS the original amount plus penalty. They said they received a confirmation number from the IRS but refused to give us the number. We contacted the credit card company who then conducted an investigation. 2 days later we had our money back. Attorneys are going to try to get our penalties dropped for us. These people suc and flat out lie.

HORRIBLE. they didn't get our payment to the IRS and we received a nonpayment letter adding interest and penalties to our payment. cannot get through to customer service. INSANE

You cannot reach them, they never answer the phone, when i tried their online form - it bounces ! The should not be an IRS approved company. I need help, our payment has not been applied to our taxes.

These people do not respond to questions. I used them on 4.7.2024 and they charged my taxes twice to my credit card. I just went online to follow up again after I submitted my question on their site I receive a message on my email that the message was undeliverable. These people stole me. I want my money back.

Made my payment with them on april 15 at 12am and on my irs account it says that the payment was made on April 17, 10 days later it still says payment pending on irs. Worst service no answers or reply from email. Avoid at all cost!. Wish i checked all this review before using but irs recommended me them soo this is ridiculous.

ZERO stars!
This is the worst experience. The IRS still hasn't credited my 2021 tax payment made through Pay1040.com on 4/17/2022. I am not sure how it is they managed to mismanage this many tax payments judging by other reviews. I will NEVER use this site again.

Very easy to use, couldn’t recommend enough. Made the payment for US federal taxes from the United Kingdom, got a confirmation email and reference number immediately after payment. Then the following day I got an email stating that the IRS had received and excepted the payment and I could see it on my IRS account. Delighted with how quick and easy it was to use, it made it stress-free to pay taxes from outside of the US.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. I paid my taxes through this company which was on IRS website as authorized to take card payments. Paid. The payment cleared Jan. 18th get a letter in the mail saying IRS hasn't received payment and that they are going to levy against me. No body at Pay1040 will answer emails or phone. IRS says nothing they can do. They didn't receive. Payment. It's their own sponsored company on their own site. So you would think it's better them two not me. They are demanding their $1100 and now I need to file fraud charges on my card. Such BS. I love paycheck to paycheck. Here let me just pull another $1100 out whatever organ I can sell..

They stole my money and won't answer any support emails or calls. I sat on the phone waiting for the worst people in the world (IRS) only to find out it was this companies fault. I am lucky I paid with CC so I can file a claim. Buyer beware.

Horrible - so much worse than calling the IRS itself. Hold times are multiple hours with the lousiest most insane hold music ever invented. The website is slow if it even works. Password reset does not work at all. No help, no customer service, nobody gives a damn. This is a complete and total failure to the taxpayers. The government should at least find a vendor that can do the job efficiently instead of going to the lowest bidder in a backroom deal. Stay FAR away from Pay1040! The CEO should be arrested for malfeasance.

Don't bother with this scam group. Some genius at the IRS thought it would be a great idea to use these knuckleheads. What of time. Poor customer service and your money is all they care about

similar to other customers, IRS did not receive payment that was submitted via pay1040. Tried to look up my activity history ( used them in the past ) no history on my account ( I have confirmations ). Phone service is automated and the e mail contact form is buggy and does not always work. I suggest you avoid this company it is not concerned with customer experience or accountability.

it is a scam company. I processed with them my 2022 tax payment on March 25/2023 and I received on June 5/2023 a CP14 notice letter from the IRS with an amount owed. I am trying to reach pay1040 several times by phone and email unsucessfully. After a long waiting they hung up the calls and never answer the emails. I contacted the IRS claim resolution office and they said to me I am still responsible for the payment, including the assesed penalties and interest accumulated. Stay away from that scam, fraudulent company.
